Hi! We're Morgana and Jaco. When Covid-19 started spreading where we lived in 2020, we began documenting and sharing stories of Covid-19 survivors to spread awareness about the disease. But, we decided that wasn’t enough. We wanted to show how Covid-19 has impacted people across America. So, we packed up our New York apartment and moved into a 19’ trailer. 414 days, over 40,000 miles, 4 flights, and over 70 campsites later, we have now interviewed over 190 survivors in 50 states. In our documentary film series, you’ll get to know some of them and their stories. And you’ll hear from experts who answer our questions about this virus as we drive through the heart of the outbreak across America.

The more we see how unserious our government is about what was unleashed upon us and using every approach to help people, the more difficult it becomes to not wonder if there is something intentional going on here.

I have long Covid. I had it for almost a year-six months later I got Covid again - five months later I still have it. I do think my symptoms in someways are worse. I am unable to work. I help out my neighbor across the street that has MS that is the only work I have. She is extremely patient and understanding when I can’t come. Which is a lot and when I’m there I work anywhere from 1 to 3 hours depending on what I can do. I have to be careful because that can end up putting me in bed for several days. A lot of the times it feels like I just keep getting Covid over again, and I have just a few days break where I don’t have it. One thing I’m dealing with now that’s really upsetting is neurological symptoms. I was always a very avid reader and writer, now when I am writing, whether it is journaling or an article, I struggle writing the words.I will leave out vowels. I will turn the words around and write words missing letters. This is something I used to do with a little effort and then when I was done with my work I would go back and edit, now I have to edit almost every word at the time I write it.
I struggle verbally as well. I can’t remember words that I’m trying to say I say words incorrectly put together that don’t make sense. I’ve been doing that a lot lately. I’ve been doing all of this a lot lately.
I forget what day of the week it is all the time I have to ask people around me, or Siri or check my calendar. I almost always think it’s Saturday.
None of these things were happening to me before I got Covid. As I have heard many of the people on this podcast speak out I have been to urgent care, the hospital primary Doctor and none of them really know what to do. I got the same basic care as many of the people that I heard on this podcast. One of my new symptoms which is losing my balance.
Thank you so much for the work you’re doing, I know you must be helping many, and I am grateful.

So sorry to hear about everyone's problems - but immensely relieved to hear I'm neither hallucinating nor naturally "aging" (you don't lose half your hair and grow old and weak in less than a month). FYI, most of my problems happened after Pfizer jabs, especially after the second one.
But I also had covid itself in March 2020 - "covid toes" before anyone knew what it was.
I've spent most of the last 2 years in bed but "seem" to be almost over it now.
I really should have known better than get the jabs - I haven't had a flu jab for DECADES due to my bad reaction to it...
I need to mention that my blood type is B-negative.

Betaine TMG 500mg three time per day with with breakfast, main meal and evening meal for 14 days potentially increasing to 500mg with breakfast, 1 gram with your main meal and 500mg with your evening meal depending on tolerance. Consult with your doctor before taking as a dosage of 4 grams per day (which isn’t necessary) or more can increase cholesterol levels and it will temporarily increase circulating testosterone that helps regulate systematic inflammation but needs to be assessed by a medical professional for other potential risks.
      Reasons for considering:
      1. A study found that the spike protein of the virus triggers a hyper inflammatory T Cell immune response via TLR4 proteins damaging heart muscle cells. Betaine like Dexamethasone (one of the few treatments for Covid) is a TLR4 inhibitor.
      2. Covid increases cytokines IL-1β, IL-2, IL-6, IL-10, IFN-γ, TNF-α, IFN-γ. Betaine lowers key cytokines IL-1β, TNF-α, IL-6.
      3. A study in 2020 found a doubling of Cortisol is associated with a 42% increased risk of mortality. It was concluded that the severity of disease likely determines the levels of circulating Cortisol. This is not the full picture. The mechanism of disease for this virus maybe to shed spike protein in order to cause a hype inflammatory T cell response to cause excessive release of cortisol. Cortisol disrupts pathogen presentation pathways in dendritic cells, suppresses il-8 cytokines that in a form of TB were found to bind to the infection and stimulate CD4 & CD8 T cells to the site on infection. It is also directly correlated with homocysteine that can cause playlet activation, damage to blood vessels, blood clots and Alzheimer’s. Cortisol can also be linked to COPD as it can cause ROS and oxadative stress, which can increase extracellular atp which in turn can increase. Il-18 cytokines which are linked to COPD. Again Dexamethasone lowers Cortisol levels by lowering the release of ACTH from the pituitary gland which in turn lowers the release of Cortisol from the adrenal gland.
      4. Betaine can temporarily increase circulating testosterone that helps regulate systematic inflammation,
5 Betaine also helps lower histamine levels that maybe be causing inflammation and high blood pressure by triggering H1 & H2 receptors near the heart narrowing blood vessels and increasing heart rate.

      @dermotfitzpatrick5045 Місяць тому

UA-cam seems to delete links so I’ll provide you the titles to the papers which you can then search for.
      1. “ Coronavirus spike protein activated natural immune response, damaged heart muscle cells”. This paper discusses how the spike protein of the virus triggers a hyperinflammatory T Cell immune response via TLR4 proteins. A paper titled “ Epithelial expression of TLR4 is modulated in COPD and by steroids, salmeterol and cigarette smoke” discusses how Dexamethasone (one of the few recognised treatments for Covid 19) down regulates TLR4 proteins. A paper title “ Betaine inhibits Toll-like receptor 4 expression in rats with ethanol-induced liver injury” demonstrates how Betaine is a TLR4 inhibitor.
      2. In a paper titled “ A review of cytokine-based pathophysiology of Long COVID symptoms” they identity a key cytokine triad of IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α remain elevated in long Covid patients. In a paper titled “ Effects of 14-weeks betaine supplementation on pro-inflammatory cytokines and hematology status in professional youth soccer players during a competition season: a double blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial” showed it lowered cytokines TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6.
      3. Betaine is used in the treatments of other viruses including Hepatitis C and B and a virus found in birds called Infectious Bursal Disease Virus that disrupts the function of their immune system. See paper “ Alleviation of infectious-bursal-disease-virus-induced bursal injury by betaine is associated with DNA methylation in IL-6 and interferon regulatory factor 7 promoter”
      4. In 2020 a paper titled “ Association between high serum total cortisol concentrations and mortality from COVID-19” found a doubling of cortisol is associated with a 42% higher risk of mortality. It was concluded that the severity of the disease likely determined the level of circulating cortisol but this may not be the full picture. A paper titled “ Stress presents a problem for dendritic cells: corticosterone and the fate of MHC class I antigen processing and presentation” found cortisol can disrupt pathogen presentation pathways in dendritic cells(viral presenting cells). Cortisol can delay the primary immune response and prime the secondary response.
      4. Cortisol can lower circulating testosterone which helps regulate systematic inflammation see paper “ Relationship Between Circulating Cortisol and Testosterone: Influence of Physical Exercise”.
      5. A paper titled “ Exercise and circulating cortisol levels: the intensity threshold effect” looked at how higher intensity e exercise can increase circulating cortisol levels. This can stay elevated for up to 13 days after high intensity exercise. If infected during this time the immune response can be impaired or not function as it should.
      6. The above paper titled “ The effects of 14-week betaine supplementation on endocrine markers, body composition and anthropometrics in professional youth soccer players: a double blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial” shows how Betaine lowers circulating cortisol and homocysteine which has a positive correlation with cortisol. Homocysteine can cause platelet activation seen in this study “ Homocysteine activates platelets in vitro”(2008) Homocysteine can also cause blood clots, damage to blood vessels and is linked to Alzheimer’s.
      7. Betaine has anti inflammatory and anti-thrombosic properties and can cross the blood brain barrier. Like Dexamethasone lowers cortisol (Dexamethasone by lowering the release of ACTH from the pituitary gland which in turn lowers the release of cortisol from the adrenal glands) and both are TLR4 inhibitors/ lower TLR4 expression. The reason Vitamin D was considered is it lowers the expression of TLR4 proteins and regulates cortisol but it can take up to 6 months to increase blood serum vitamin d levels so could be why it is important prior to infection but ineffective during infection.
I hope this information helps. Betaine at doses can temporarily increase circulating testosterone so should not be taken while pregnant and at doses over 4g rams per day increase circulating cholesterol levels so only take under the advice of a medical professional. I took one 500mg with breakfast, main meal and evening meal( total of 1.5grans per day) for two weeks and have seen an improvement in my symptoms but this is just my personal experience. I suggest if taking it do so in a gradually increasing dosage potentially up to a maximum of about 2 grams per day taken with food. I hope this information helps

      Why Betaine might be helpful:
      1. Betaine is already used as a treatment for other viruses including Hepatitis B ( see “ Betaine Inhibits Hepatitis B Virus with an Advantage of Decreasing Resistance to Lamivudine and Interferon α”) Hepatitis C and a virus found in birds that disrupts their immune system (see “ Alleviation of infectious-bursal-disease-virus-induced bursal injury by betaine is associated with DNA methylation in IL-6 and interferon regulatory factor 7 promoter”)
      2. Betaine lowers key cytokines associated with long Covid (see “ The IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF cytokine triad is associated with post-acute sequelae of COVID-19 & “ Effects of 14-weeks betaine supplementation on pro-inflammatory cytokines and hematology status in professional youth soccer players during a competition season: a double blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial”) All 3 of these 3 key cytokines are lowered in this study using Betaine over 14 days which I took for this time frame ie 500mg with breakfast, main meal and evening meal for 2 weeks.
      3. In a study looking at the spike protein of the virus it was found that the spike protein of the virus triggers a hyper inflammatory T Cell immune response via TLR4 proteins( see “ Coronavirus spike protein activated natural immune response, damaged heart muscle cells”) Dexamethasone, one the few recognised treatments, lowers the expression of TLR4 proteins ( see “ Epithelial expression of TLR4 is modulated in COPD and by steroids, salmeterol and cigarette smoke”) Betaine inhibits TLR4 proteins ( see “ Betaine inhibits Toll-like receptor 4 expression in rats with ethanol-induced liver injury”)
      4. Betaine has anti inflammatory and anti thrombotic properties (see “ Betaine (N,N,N-trimethylglycine) averts photochemically-induced thrombosis in pial microvessels in vivo and platelet aggregation in vitro“)
      5. The virus maybe shedding the spike protein to act as a decoy triggering hyper inflammation in order to cause increased release of cortisol that can disrupt pathogen presentation pathways in dendritic cells( pathogen presenting cells) and can suppress il-8 cytokines that can attach to infections and stimulate CD4 and CD8 T cells to the site of infection. Cortisol is correlated with homocysteine that can cause platelet activation, blood clots and is linked to Alzheimer’s. Betaine lowers both cortisol and homocysteine levels. High intensity exercises like marathon running can increase circulating cortisol and remain elevated for up to 13 days after exercise.
      6. Betaine helps lower histamine levels.
      7. Betaine temporarily increases circulating testosterone that helps regulate systematic inflammation. ( see “ Effects of short-term betaine supplementation on muscle endurance and indices of endocrine function following acute high-intensity resistance exercise in young athletes”) Cortisol lowers testosterone and Covid patients have been found to have low testosterone levels ( see “ Severely low testosterone in males with COVID‐19: A case‐control study”) A paper in 2020 found that a doubling of Cortisol is associated with a 42% increase risk of mortality.
Betaine cannot be taken while pregnant as it increases circulating testosterone. At a dosage of 4 grams or more per day increases cholesterol levels so please ensure consulting with your doctor or medical professional before considering. I hope this information helps
