    Thank you. I had bought the MK3 last week and you reinforced my decision. But when I realised you were making more content with FL and Arturia, I just felt like I found exactly what I was looking for.
    Thank you for your work and passion.

      You just answered my question at he age of 40. I almost almost bought the Yamaha DGX 670. I want to do a little bit of everything from learning the piano.

    I got one, haven't had too much time to mess with it but my main hope is that I can easily hook it up to the microfreak and have that plugged into my guitar pedals. Love the microfreak touch keys but a proper keybed would be better for performing. I'm saving up for a keyboard with weighted keys but that's a someday thing. This has a ton of bells and whistles so hyped for that

    Thank you for the straight forward / no-nonsense review of this controller! It’s always important to hear about potential flaws of any piece of kit, and you presented it in a way that we can make a better judgement on whether it will be a dealbreaker or not. Much appreciated!
    Just subbed, and I ordered the keys 🎹 from Sweetwater anyway lol… for the price, I won’t be upset if I end up hating this controller … but I suspect it will get the job done just fine 👍🏻

    I've been trying to offload my Nektar T6 to move across to a Keylab Essential 61 but no takers so it seems I will be keeping the Nektar.
    Though not a bad keyboard, and great Reaper integration - I was thinking the Essential might be a good leg up into the Arturia eco system with better 3rd party VST support.
    Wish Midi 2 would get better traction with hardware vendors but it seems the industry is more about building hardware to trap customers into software eco systems.

    I just got a second hand keylab essential 61, It's not the mk3 but it's still really good, the software code worked. Before I had a Novation launchkey mini so it's nice to be able to actually play properly now! The mini was just too small and dinky. Using it with Ableton 11.

    The best with a bad key bed, alright? If the pads and faders are more important to you than the feel of the keys, then ok, maybe. After 3 days, I sent mine back. I’ll try NI Komplete Kontrol next.

    What other videos do y'all want to see with the Keylab Essential MK3? Comparisons? Beat making?

      beat making would be rad, or just a demo of how you go about using it's features in actuality. It's an awesome midi controller and at this point i'm just hoping to jump on some awesome software synths like Falcon or Pigments. do you have an opinion on either?

    I somehow feel the quality is too plasticky comparing novation or native instrument .
    Pls let me know if you feel the same.

    • @Curious_Skeptic
      @Curious_Skeptic 8 місяців тому +1

      It's a toy compared to the higher end! That said, Roland and many others, including Korg, have gone to cheap plastic bodies! Why? Because, we keep buying their junk! Let's be honest, it's a 200.00 midi controller. You certainly can't expect metal at that price. :) For what it is, not bad. NI, you really can't compare. NI doesn't have nearly as many controllers. Even top of the line, only 8 knobs! For $200 you are getting a lot more controls! I've owned a few NI kits. S88 MKII was solid! Very good quality feel. BUT, still a giant pcs of plastic if we are being real. Haven't felt a quality synth in years! Most have gone part or full plastic.

    Keybed good for the price point? So if I have the money for it, I should instead god for something like Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol s61?? Will it be noticeably better? I struggle getting my Keylab to sound good.. and I feel like I might have gotten the wrong one.

    • @thisisalbe
      @thisisalbe  Рік тому

      I don't think the Komplete Kontrol will feel much better honestly. Make sure you don't have on quantization too much, and maybe even playing with the sensitivity may help.

      Ok, I see. Thank you, then Ill keep it as is. And perhaps go for the 88version instead down the line!:) @@thisisalbe

    Is it better than novation launchkey 61

  • @IcemanTheDj

    It is very frustrating that Arturia uses encoders as pots, I mean not in relative mode but in absolute mode. It is very counterproductive to move the encoder, to look at the screen to see the position to know in which direction to move to takeover the parameter you want to modify in the software...

    • @thisisalbe
      @thisisalbe  6 місяців тому +2

      Agreed but I thought these were relative? Look back at the device settings to see if it’s an option. Infinity knobs usually mean relative value

    • @IcemanTheDj
      @IcemanTheDj 6 місяців тому

      @@thisisalbe in the midi control center you may select relative, but it's the FL script that is made with the absolute behavior...

    Hey bro, are you still planning on uploading a template for FL Studio would be really helpful. Bought the keyboard a few days ago but ive had a few issues for example I can't control analog lab with the scroll wheel and the display screen doesn't show any of the instruments i have selected it just says Arturia. Would be great if you could help, Thanks.

    Would you say this is a better option than Novation FLkey to work with FL?
    Also is the Analog Lab V software included a "lite" or scaled down version or the same as what arturia has on their site as analog lab pro?
    Thanks in advance!

    • @thisisalbe
      @thisisalbe  8 місяців тому +1

      In my experience and opinion, yes. The FL Key does what it says but when I'm actually producing, it's not as intuitive and takes my mind off the creative process too much.

    Most of these keyboard sounds are synthesized sampled sounds, and some keyboards comes with the best sounding synthesized sounds, and some kebords comes with not so good sounding synthethesized sounds and I will not waste money on trashed keyboards, its like late 60s and 70s not so good technology packaged and using it for todays music thats going backwards in a way.
