Silver Rush 50 Mile | The Window Seat 009

- Опубліковано 19 жов 2024
- I usually don't race with a camera. But I brought one along for this 50 mile race at altitude to treat it even more like a training run for the upcoming Leadville 100 mile race on August 19th. In short, try to enjoy this race and have a little fun in the process.
However things took a turn for the worse when shortly after the halfway mark, legs wouldn't respond and I allowed myself to get really low and dejected. Thanks to some good people around me, I rallied back and was able to finish on a day when things got a little ugly. Much love to my running community!

life goal right there, meeting david goggins during an ultra
Awesome race. Great to see Goggins running again
That pretty much captured a typical hard ultra day. Thank you for sharing this. I had a hard training run yesterday that made me doubt myself. But watching this reminded me how everyone has to fight through the downs and ups and downs of a long run. Good stuff, Billy!
HECK YES BILLY! Super proud of you. CRUSH it in two weeks!!!!!!!!!! I BELIEVE IN YOU!
Clare Gallagher xoxo
Thank you for sharing and posting the REAL struggle part of the race! That really helps me as a beginner for Ultra!!
Awesome race Billy. I made it to printer boy inbound and stopped after puking 20+ times. 2nd DNF and it still hurts. Working on nutrition..
Hope to meet you some day brother, congratulations & keep it up
Thank you for showing the authentic experience. It was great to see that even you have races where not everything goes right and sometimes it's a struggle to finish. Awesome!
Billy yang your films are good and your adventures and races too. Kodus!
Great job Billy! Really like your stories, thank you.
Very cool video, raw and real. Definitely something people like me who are still on the fence about doing trail/ultras...straight up, no sugar coating
"Don't be such a pansy". LOL. Way to go Billy!
Very inspiring! I was out there as well doing my first 50 miler. It was a tough day but this community is so amazing like you said. Lots of encouragement got me to the finish line
great inspiration to see you push past the pain...to the victory of finishing !
Just a guess, bc I watched this happen to a friend at an ironman race, he sat in a hot tub the night before and the next day was really difficult for him. He cramped and his legs were not operating at full capacity. And he had trained well for it. I wonder if a similar thing happens to you. Nice job pushing through!! Thanks for posting your race.
Congrats! Always so key to have homies to pull you out of the dark places (in running and life!). Good lick at Leadville!
Awesome awesome AWESOME!!!
Way to go and POWER through the race!!!
Sorry for your struggles Billy! Kick ass that you pushed on and endured 💪🏻 We love seeing your videos, through the highs and lows
Billy - thanks for the videos, they're such an inspiration to people training for their first ultra!!
Billy, you are amazing! Thank you for showing the world the real truth of this sport. The emotions that we go through, the joy, sadness, raw emotions. You are an inspiration and a killer film maker. Keep at it Billy!!!!
Great to you you finish, you won the battle!
Hurray!!!! You did it....Great film...love it...always...
Love that you post the pain-cave footage too! Hat's off to you man
love your films, Billy. I just ran my second marathon (Los Angeles) and knocked off 31 minutes from last year to get down to 4:12. Watching your films is inspiring, and makes me want to improve even more and to eventually tackle an ultra. Maybe one day, until then keep making great films!
major props for staying strong and still filming!
Though things went sideways, you pushed on and because you did, you experienced many small victories. Thanks for reminding me there's a bigger picture.
Great vid! Good running with you over the last couple miles... Best of luck next weekend!
YEAH BILLY! way to fight through and finish strong!
Just one of those days...congrats on making to the finish line!
I am a marathon runner who is a 100% road runner...I know how hard it is to run full marathons and how exhausting and painful it is, so for guys like this who run looooong ultra run, I have nothing but respect! It’s a whole different level of toughness that I think is amazing!
Awesome job 🤘🏻🤯
Well done

Way to push. Hats off.
Good job Billy!
Would you recommend this race for someone trying to race their first ultra? How much of it is runnable. I’m coming from a road running background and the elevation definitely makes me a little nervous lol.
Awesome Running 💪🏾🔥✌🏾
Awesome video and nice race! Do you color grade in your editing software or in something else?
Great work very inspiring.
what cameras are you using to make the window seat videos? thanks Billy!
Damnnn DAVID GOGGINSS
May I ask what equipment you used for filming? Camera? Mount/stick? Thanks!
Trihope140.6 just a GoPro and an extendable/collapsible stick 👍🏻

Thank you!
Hahaha holy fuck you met David Goggins
I don't think the girl was feeling you wearing the hat during the national anthem.
nah there's at least 5 ppl in the frame around her also wearing a hat
for the record, I am a very proud American :)
What's wrong with wearing a hat during the national anthem? Billy wasn't wearing a uniform which would necessitate removing the hat.
Major Takleef it's general etiquette to remove hats during the Anthem. If someone were in uniform, they would actually keep their headgear on and salute the flag. Again, general etiquette. There's no "rule" but often the announcer will ask to remove hats. It's kinda like the whole hand over the heart thing. You only really do it during the Pledge, but often people do it during the Anthem.
Yeah, not saying you're not or anything. She was either maddogging the camera or the hat. Some people just take that seriously is all.
