i feel like the intro with the cards in hand and commander is far better. I have no idea what the commanders do or what to expect from the first few turns.
I actually like the commander introduction and opening hands. Seeing a random card played out of nowhere it's very strange to me. Where did that black gate came from? Not a fan of this change
I preferred having the commanders and opening hands shown at the beginning. It gave me a chance to read the commanders and get a feel for what a deck might want to do during the game. Otherwise, I like the new changes!
Right the action, I liked it! The extended aftermath was great too, feels like it gives everyone a bit more screentime while keeping the fluff to a minimum.
This pod is definitely not in the Christmas spirit! Lord of Pain, and Mindskinner always give the heebiejeebies! Great video though, a little sad we didnt get the classic Muddstah chair spin, but amazing video non the less!
I like the sponsors during the gameplay! Maybe if it’s something new or limited you can show it in the beginning to make sure we don’t miss it. Also, maybe a quick few seconds of each commander as a png on the playmats before the start?
Turns out I just missed the intro, ignore the stuff below. I liked the new editing flow That was abrupt. Other than the straight to the game with no intro everything flowed great. Maybe now that I know it's coming, it might flow with the rest of the video. I'll through this in a playlist and see what happens next time I see the beginning.
I've always enjoyed the opening hand before the games. If you're not feeling that format anymore, maybe just the commander and a few key cards in the 99 that shows the goals or the synergies of each deck instead. I know in some games commanders don't get to shine so showing the goals in the beginning might give people a better idea of the commanders potential.
@@dave_eagle2787what caused Alexios to “have to” attack to the left? It’s true that it can’t attack its owner, but where does it say he has to attack left?
@@jasonclarkson3246 earlier in the game, a card was played so attackers can only be declared to opponents on the left. I forgot what card, but I remember it being played. I just forgot about that cards effect when I asked my question.
Can't say I'm feeling this. No idea what people are playing. I like kinda knowing what everyone's commander is/does beforehand. Knowing everyone's hands tho can be skipped lol
I can see the appeal of maybe no opening hands, but I definitely miss the commanders being introduced to get a general idea of what each deck is trying to do.
I think player name and commander name are Important (I do sometimes just listen to your games only looking at the screen occasionally, like when doing dishes) I think a quick "Hello for today's game we have (Player 4 Name/Commander), (Player 3 Name/Commander), (Player 2 Name/Commander), and Finally (Player 1 Name/Commander) who will be our staring player." Then jump immediately into the game. Still a tiny intro but with only the bare minimum information.
I really miss the commander introduction and just a little bit of information regarding the game plan, it is really needed to bring context to the viewer. The opening hand I'd leave it out because we can't see the hands during the game, so I don't see a point in seeing only the initial cards.
I think showing off the commanders at the beginning was better. Opening hand can be either or, but at least the commander. I wanna know the ability the commander has.
Long feedback comment incoming… For the video itself, I don’t believe cutting the intro entirely was the right call. Listing the opening hands was always unnecessary, but I do wish you had still introduced the players and the decks they are running. There are plenty of people out there who are vision impaired who still enjoy UA-cam so making sure important info is spoken and not just shown is valuable. Replacing “game review time” with the after game chat with everyone was great and allowed the other players to play a more active role in the video, though I do wish it wasn’t at the very end. More on that in a bit. Putting faces to names is nice if everyone is comfortable with it. On the business side, putting sponsor shoutouts towards the end may be risky depending on how they feel about it. Many people will click off the video once the actual gameplay is over, causing them to miss those, along with the after game chat which would affect view time. I’m not a content creator, just a business guy so take that with a grain of salt. That’s it from me! Great job as always! (Edited for spelling)
Thank you for the feedback! I just want to confirm that nothing is set in stone right now. I'm still brainstorming on this (having also discussed it with the sponsors beforehand) to find the best way to balance things. I am currently testing out a few ways to have opening hands back and in a visible way.
@One of the things i enjoy most about your channel is the narration so I wanted to emphasize why it’s important for people like me. I’m sure you will find the right flow!
First ( i got nothing else except sleep deprivation ) Edit: i was not expecting to beat MTGMuddstah for the first comnet on his own video nice little surprise for me
The older intro of showing the specific commanders and opening hand, without the people introduction was the best imo. It’s got to the point fast, showed us what people were playing and didn’t involve 2 minutes of unneeded talking. Part of the charm of this channel is the straight to the point nature. I literally don’t watch I Hate your Deck, or Shuffle Up and Play because they take a 15 minute long game video and stretch it to an hour because people think they’re funny and feel the need to describe every word on every card. Keep it simple :)
I like the edit for your dragon shield sponsor with the sound, subtle and tasteful I was taken aback with the missing intro and starting hands but I don't feel I needed it to enjoy the video
*I'm trying out a new flow to the video! Let me know what you think to by replying to this comment!*
At least introduce the commanders first! Ive never cared for the specific opening hand thing. I did like the post game interview though. 👍
Love the new format
It'll take a sec to get used to but I do love the jump right into the thick of it.
The new format does feel really nice, but I miss seeing opening hands and hearing you introduce everyone
@@thatdude8114 I'll take that under consideration. I just figured with the thumbnail and the title, most folks knew what they're jumping into.
i feel like the intro with the cards in hand and commander is far better. I have no idea what the commanders do or what to expect from the first few turns.
Thank you for sharing that! I'm definitely still experimenting with finding the optimal intro.
same, at least show the commanders
If I don't hear "hey gang and welcome back" within the first minute of the video it fills me with an indescribable sadness
I'll bring that back!
I actually like the commander introduction and opening hands. Seeing a random card played out of nowhere it's very strange to me. Where did that black gate came from? Not a fan of this change
Straight to the point, I love it! The short, digestible games are what make your channel great!
Beseech can't bargain a reassembling skeleton. Otherwise a good game.

Love getting right into the action! And with the chats at the end is best of both worlds!
Whoa... skipping right to the game did catch me off guard.
Damn, hated that game for Mark. He didn’t get to do anything lol.
Otherwise I like jumping right into the action! Good speedy flow.
This pod is definitely not in the Christmas spirit! Lord of Pain, and Mindskinner always give the heebiejeebies! Great video though, a little sad we didnt get the classic Muddstah chair spin, but amazing video non the less!
I really like the post-game discussion, the start was a little abrupt but I like it!
The start is still a WIP. I'm trying to come up with a way to downsize what I had before into a more direct thing.
micah sure did kingmake this game
Fun game! Miss the hands, but I like the discussion alot at the end, Muddstah!
I like the sponsors during the gameplay! Maybe if it’s something new or limited you can show it in the beginning to make sure we don’t miss it.

Poor Mark. I love Lord of Pain and he got immediately bullied out of the game. Working on Evereth myself, so it was nice to see it in action.
Like the new format - direct and to the point.
I really liked the pacing on this video. Hopefully it shows in the analytics. Please do continue to experiment.

I was so unprepared for the game to start immediately haha
Question, at 4:33 , you didnt attack with Alexios. Why not?
He has to attack to the left, but Micah is on the left, and Alexios cant attack his owner

@ pramikon
I think having the sponsors before the game review is a good idea.
How was alexios attacking its owner? Am I missing something or was it a misplay?
I prefer a quick introduction. But directly going into gameplay certainly helps with retention.
I like the new format! I think something short just before the game starts could also be nice, but starting the game immediately was nice.
Getting right into the action, i like this new format.
Good change, always fun to watch. GG

Good to know! I’m working on finding a better balance. May have turned the knob too far on the fast intro lol
Love the new format!
And the talk after the game was also great!
I can see the appeal of maybe no opening hands, but I definitely miss the commanders being introduced to get a general idea of what each deck is trying to do.
Nothing to do with the video itself, but the Mindskinner is just The Batman who Laughs put through a meat grinder. How did I not see that before?
I like that I skip the end of video rather than scrubbing to see where it starts
I agree, Descent into Avernus is such a great card

We getting experimental with the flow les gooooo
Jumping right into the action was a bit jarring. Needs some sort of quick intro to the game.
This was a fun game to watch though!
Do Opening hands. This was waaay too fast I literally had to restart the vid cuz I was caught off guard lol
I’m always looking for ways to make the videos more engaging! Maybe I’ll try that next time.

Would love to see a pramikon list
That start really threw me off!
Do miss the commander introductions however, can do without the opening hands tho.
In media res start!
Everet astounding art
I love the Mind Skinner so much
Well... that was quick.
Oh wow, just right into it, huh? That's almost unsettling.
Yep! Folks have been asking me to get right into, so here we are haha.
Was there an intro?
Damn, Evereth got hands

better skip the cringe end game talk instead of the beginning
