- Featuring Skye and the loaf of bread!! I made some delicious meals for meal prep this week for my husband and I. When I filmed this, it was a day before the new Weight Watchers program. Anyone else have a counter food swiper for a dog? LOL Honestly though - she's such a sweetie! Don't worry - she wasn't in trouble. She still got her normal treats later. We just rescued her about 3 months ago. She's 2 years old and the sweetest lab ever! She's actually come a long way! We are trying to teach her that no matter what she went through before, in our house, she can simply be a dog (even if that means stealing food), and we'll laugh with her about it. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Oh this made me laugh. We have a black lab. He is the world’s number one counter surfer. I wouldn’t trade him for a million dollars. Thank you for rescuing her. She is adorable. Also thank you for your great videos and recipes.

This was a great meal prep video! I made the French toast casserole and added some chopped pecans. I keep my bread in the freezer and it’s easier to dice up. It thawed while I prepped the egg mixture. I warmed it up in the air fryer for around 5 minutes.
I never thought about that with the bread! Great idea! I always have extra bread in my freezer! Thanks Martha! :)
The French toast casserole looked yummy but I’m not a pumpkin girl. I made it with 1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce and it was amazing!
Ohh, yes, you can definitely use something else in place of the pumpkin. I was thinking of trying it with an overripe banana next time. Glad to hear the applesauce worked good!! Might have to try that one. Thanks!! 😀

Haha!!! That's so funny!! Our previous dogs would do that - act like they were the king and queen, all proud. We're trying to teach Skye to come around. She has come a long way already though!! The expression on Skye’s face said it all. It was hilarious. These are the first two recipes that I made when I started watching UA-cam and they have become firm favourites, along with the Kodiak pancake bake and basil Parmesan salmon.

I’m loving your videos I’ve been binge watching them so glad I ran across them ( comment on Facebook is where ). You were taking about your ground beef not taking a whole #. I almost always cut a # down to 8 ounces in any recipe. Learned that trick from healthy exchanges cookbooks. You never miss the extra meat. Less points too. Haha - yep,, she definitely ignores us when she does something wrong. Not sure what she went through before as we just got her three months ago. So, we're still learning much about her. But she's definitely funny to watch! That French toast casserole is amazing!! Good for you focusing on meal planning! I find that definitely helps.
Every time I watch your videos, I see your canister set. I really like it. Your meals sound so good. It is hard to cook for one person. I end up throwing so much food out. It would help to freeze some. I will have to try it.
Thanks so much, Jennifer! My late mother-in-law left me that canister set. I love it!! I would suggest maybe cutting the recipes in half and just cooking half and then either eating it for just three days or freezing it. These recipes here should freeze well. :)

Thanks Cathi! You should have seen her when we first rescued her. She was so timid!! She's actually coming out of her shell. She's 2 years old and we just got her about 3 months ago. But we try to laugh with her about things and show her it's okay for her to simply be a dog. 💕💕

Do you think you could freeze the French toast casserole?
I've never tried it, but I freeze french toast all the time, so I don't see why you couldn't.
I followed the recipe to the letter and it taste great but I made too many servings because it’s just me to be eating this I wanted to know is it possible to freeze the rest?
So glad you enjoyed!! I personally haven't tried to freeze either of these, but I can't imagine that they wouldn't freeze well. Can't really thing of anything in there that would go bad if frozen.
