- Locations, Tromso, Hammerfest, Vardo, Vadso, Nordkapp, Honningsvag, Kirkenes. At this time of year (December) the sun doesn't come up, only a few hours of dusk. one of the highlights was a trip to Nordkapp (Northcape) 71˚ North and the most northerly point in Europe. A fantastic country, Hopefully go back soon.

This is breathtaking. It looks so clean as if man never touched it. I’m from the south USA but grew up in a very cold part path of the USA. I’d love to live there. It’s so tranquil and beautiful. I guess I’ll have to keep dreaming

Norway is the most beautiful country in the world as a whole: places, towns, nature, people, life style. Even if it is a wonderful country to travel and enjoy your own vacations, it's not for everyone to make a life, especially northern Norway. I do love my heavens in the south like Lysefjord, Nordfjordeid, Geiranger,

Amazing stuff! I was there last November travelling from Olden right up to Honningsvag and the North Cape and it was truly stunning with the snow, just like a Wintry wonderland! I'm going to Iceland next year but hopefully I'll get back to Norway the year after because it is so beautiful.
The Romsdalen valley and the Troll Wall near Andalsnes are another MUST SEE especially in the Winter. Snow makes everything more beautiful!!!

Cool Iceland video. Where was that place at 1.53, it looked really spectacular! We start in Reykjavik and then travel north and then east to eventually finish in Seydisfjordur, so maybe we'll miss that place if you travelled round the south.
Black sand beach in Vik. Amazing place and the light was fantastic. The North looks amazing, we didn't have time to head up there but hopefully, we're going to Svalbard later in the year and finishing off in Northern Iceland. Have a great trip!!

Nautical Polar Night: Occurs when there is no Nautical Twilight and only Astronomical Twilight at Solar Noon. Occurs at latitudes between 78º33'38.6" North and 84º33'38.6" North on the December Solstice and also occurs at latitudes between 78º33'38.6" South and 84º33'38.6" South on the June Solstice. During astronomical twilight, it may be difficult to distinguish astronomical twilight from night time. Most stars and other celestial objects can be seen during this phase. Astronomical Twilight occurs when the geometric center of the Sun's disk is between 12 and 18 degrees below the horizon.
Astronomical Polar Night: Occurs when there is no Astronomical Twilight and only Night at Solar Noon. Occurs at latitudes between 84º33'38.6" North and 90º00'00.0" North on the December Solstice and also occurs at latitudes between 84º33'38.6" South and 90º00'00.0" South on the June Solstice. Night occurs when the geometric center of the Sun's disk is between 18 and 90 degrees below the horizon.
The South Pole experiences polar night without any twilight phase from May 11 to August 1 (82 days), because the Sun is north of 18th parallel north.
The North Pole experiences polar night without any twilight phase from November 13 to January 29 (77 days), because the Sun is south of 18th parallel south.

very nice, i'm wondering whether this place is situated in the arctic circle or not? the video shows only night time or late afternoon by the look of it so i figured the sun doesn't rise there
