The Tamiya DT02 Sand Viper Vs. the Tamiya DT03 Neo Fighter
We take these two very similar Tamiya buggies to find a champ. But which has the best racing chops?
Three stages -The fastest overall time over the three stages .....wins!
For anyone who cares i’ve added a league table to keep track of results .
Points awarded thus :
1st place - 9pts
2nd place - 4pts
3rd place - 1pt ( if applicable)
Please note - These races are by no means definitive.
Both are running in Tamiya Torque Tuned motors and feature oil filled shocks. The DT02 has a Tamiya heatsink installed and a Kyosho wing.

Very nice Dom. I have to say that I like driving the shorter wheelbase DT-02 best but both good buggies and close in performance as you have shown. Some nice driving skills btw. Best wishes mate 😁👍

I've not had any experience with either of these platforms mate, but hear nothing but praise for both of them.
Great to see them put up against each other, theres really not much in that!
Like you said at the end, any gains were from the driving and not the car.
I believe these are reasonably priced kits, it would be great to see one of them up against a high end buggy?
I bet they would hold their own!

Hi Dom, oh wow, that was close one between these two…the DT03 is very good value for money, right out of the box, but I feel that the DT02 would have been closer still…just that the DT03 had a little more consistency, giving it the winning result. Nice series. Merry Christmas 🎄🎅🎄

Great races, Dom, loving this series! Well I called it right! Owning both of these buggies I thought the 03 would be a little more consistent... but it's a very close thing for sure! Looking forward to the next match already!!! 🤗👌👍

@@rc-dom-uk I agree, I fluked it and got my Neo off Amazon for £64 a couple of years ago with Tt motor, ESC and oil shocks, I could NOT scroll by without purchasing that. Tough buggy too

I have to admit, my money was on the Viper... Especially on the grass, I would have expected it to steer way better, but that second lap of the '03 was superb, so I guess the better buggy won!
Very enjoyable, these races!

funnily enough i was the opposite purely on the basis the 3 is newer . but it was to close for a definitive judgment imo . thanks buddy 😊👍
