+ancientpaths7 I personally believe that most everyone could sing like this if they practiced often and stayed in vocal shape. If you want to be surrounded by people like this, all you have to do is practice singing with your friends. It's a fun pastime, and it doesn't break the bank, like, say, going to the movies and going out to eat. Singing competitions are crammed full of people who "can sing." It's really not as 'rare' as people think it is. It's a skill, like anything else. Creativity has little to do with it, either. They didn't write the song. They *worked hard.* That's the point.
KindlingKatalyst absolutely! 100% true!! I miss this, I had circles of friends like this growing up, in college, and some after. At this point in my life, I don't get to see my friends as often, and those who I see aren't into music as much. Incredible group of people here!!
I watch this every chance I get. I'm in tears by the end every time. These people have to be in the theater. They can't be that good. Especially Cosette!
@@etherealtb6021 Indeed. The groom is a musical writer and knows a lot of people who's singing is incredible. There's a lot of layers to some of the people there that would be hard to explain in just a comment though. I know the man personally, he has been my teacher in a musical as well where I played as an actor as well.
This is what happens when you have a group of talented and creative friends at your wedding, I love this for a variety of reasons, thank you!! I wish the wedding couple a long and happy life!!
I've listened to all the versions of this that are out there, including the 25th and 10th anniversaries. This one is by far my favorite! Amazingly talented folks, bravo!
well to be fair, it was very late in the evening, and I'd had good wine beforehand :-D (I do apologize for the slight pitch issue, again, it was late in the evening and we didn't know we were being recorded...)
Yes, she grabbed her place in the pantheon of great singers! Which is great, because her role carried incredible weight. There's not a better One Day More wedding flashmob on the web, and don't expect anyone to find better in my lifetime.
I have watched this so many times I've lost count - while I openly admit this is in the Top Ten of Favorites Songs from Musical Productions and from my #1 Favorite Musical, I still don't quite understand why I get such a profoundly visceral emotional response from THIS rendition. Is it the setting? The Voices? The obvious Joy of those contributing? Whatever it is - Thank You.... Again!
Not sure a song about two lovers about to be separated, a girl pining over unrequited love, students marching into certain death, and crooks who scam their guests, is the best song to sing at a wedding.
Taken out of context, you could tweak the parts so that it fits better. Marius and Cosette could change to the bride's/groom's parents wishing for one day more with their baby, and Eponine could be the groom's sister. Other parts could be twisted to make the song more positive too and wedding appropriate... Just a thought.
I feel the same way but I wonder if the deeper meaning behind the song has something to do with it. Yes the song is about facing war and oppression but it also is about overcoming it and coming out strong. Maybe that is metaphoric for the struggles that will come in s marriage and over coming them together as a couple.
I agree, this isn't quite a flashmob, but this is still quite nice to hear. I don't understand how it is Eponine's singer seems to have the best voice no matter the cast. The whole ensemble was great, but she was just a bit above the rest.
Oh my goodness, if this had been my wedding, I would have cried so hard! Luckily my wedding's still ahead of me... have to make sure I acquaintance enough Musical performers until then... :D So amazing!!
Guys, guys, guys.!!! What an awesome event, you took that by the scruff of the neck and knocked it out of the park, just fabulous. Would've been amazing to have been there.!! SINCERE WISHES TO THE HAPPY COUPLE & CONGRATS TO ALL : )
hahaha I love how the groom (or who I'm assuming is the groom) just gets into it and starts pumping his fist to the words towards the end. This was so awesome. Absolutely loved it!
hot dang, what a feat! i want to get married if only to have my family do this! LOL the Eponine and Enjolras at this wedding were especially phenomenal, they must be professionals!
it is undoubtedly real.. the groom is a danish actor/singer, so many of his friends are probably from the same industry.. But certainly a beautiful gesture.. loves The Mis..
I'll escape now from the world From the world of Jean Valjean There is nowhere I can turn There is no way to go on..... *Guest throws himself into the tables*
This is so fantastic, how they pulled this off is just amazing! A lot of close friends. Been to a lot of weddings, mostly painful speeches and boring traditions, this is AWESOME!
What a beautiful day that was for you. What a way to start your life together and what a group of wonderful friends. I hope your marriage will be long and full of beautiful music.
That was a standing ovation from me!!! Literally. Wonderful. Well done :D I've just seen Les Mis in London last week for the first time so I'm still mesmerized.
+Attacante99 "The 27 performers were all friends invited to the wedding (this was the actual wedding, NOT a rehearsal dinner), many of them are professional Danish musical performers." the uploader said so in the description if you had cared to read it ;)
Hm. Well We did the chicken dance at my brothers wedding. Things were going fine but about halfway through the music stopped. I asked the Dj why and he said he was stopping it because everyone was doing an unsatisfactory job. I was like 'oh'
I am just so impressed about this performance, it's the surprise that hits me so intens, it's the quality, it's the intension to make it something special... listened and watched it already many times, i just wished I was just a part of this great act for the the bride and wedding ...well done,. this must be a memory for you for live
The next day the janitor will be singing 'Empty Chairs at Empty Tables' by himself.
Your comment hasn't got enough praze! I love it. Thank you! XD
Omg yes I'm cracking up
That is an amazing comment!
That is the best comment I've ever seen.
DisneyFied Diz comment! 😂😂😂

Evelina me too 😂😂😂
Haha
I WOULD CRY if this happened to me, ohmygod how can one family make that beautiful sound!x
it is not family it is friends
So...I'm no professional- but many of these people seemed to have classical training.
This was very impressive.
they are professional
+joecoolmccall when all your friends and family work on Broadway.
I know! I noticed the classical techniques!

My mom's tone deaf so she can't sing a lick to save her life
but how do i make my guests be good at singing?
im guessing they know each other from theatre idk though
it is in informations they are mostly profesional singers, they just made their wedding best:-)
😂😂😂😂
Making guests good at singing ? Hmm well they are either good or there not
Marry someone who is a member in a choir 😁
10 years ago, this happened. every time i go back watching this phenomenal tribute in a wedding, it brings tears.
thrilling...real
The harmony in Eponine's voice is such a powerhouse! The chorus climax was so beautiful! 'one more day all on my own...'
how does he know so many people that can sing that well?
EXACTLY!!!!! I think the bride or groom must work at the theatre company or something!!
+raspberrycreamcake read the description
read the description and there is your answer
+raspberrycreamcake thats exactly what he does.
Gay Men's Chorus
Those are some pretty talented wedding guests you have there.
That man on 3:03 is literally me hahahahaha
Hahahaha! :'D
+Laura Samson sameee lol
+Laura Samson literally?
That man is the groom ;)
That man was everything
Look 3:43
Holy...they are singing live without mics....wow.....that hall and the power of their voice is perfect for this performance! Bravo!
I watch this every chance I get. I'm in tears by the end every time.
These people have to be in the theater. They can't be that good. Especially Cosette!
It says in the description that most of them are Danish musical performers so that explains a lot! Lol! :)
I think you mean Eponine!
@@timtaylor4758 Since my comment was 10 years ago I have no doubt I made a mistake.
My lord id be sobbing if this was my wedding. uncontrollable happy sobs!
I've seen a few of these One Day More wedding "flash mob" videos and this one BY FAR has the best singing.
Starting now, I'm only making friends with people who can sing
The guy confidently singing “one more day” instead of “one day more.” 😂 Beautifully sung/coordinated.
Yup, if you make a mistake you gotta own it. Otherwise you might lose focus
Who ARE these people that they have so many friends and or family that can sing so beautifully? That was incredible.
Same exact words/question I had! Must be a theatre majors wedding!

enjolras nailed it
Has someone noticed that always the guys who play Enjolras just slay the whole musical? hahah
+TheItzelAyala I think that part lends Itself to it. Enjorals comes in with so much force in the song that it's impossible not to go all out on it.
I think the Enjolras part was sang more forcefully, but not better than the rest.
well to be fair, it was very late in the evening, and I'd had good wine beforehand :-D (I do apologize for the slight pitch issue, again, it was late in the evening and we didn't know we were being recorded...)
Thomas Bay Ingen grund til at undskylde. Det er en af de bedste wedding flash mobs der er på youtube. Resten er egentlig bare copy cats fra jeres ;-)
The girl who does Eponine has an insane voice, really! like wooow !

True, but I'm guessing it is the groom's favorite. He was way into it waving his arms etc.
Sounds like the perfect analogy to me ;)
One of the best "flashmobs" ever.

Whoa! I would sincerely consider crashing weddings if this is how the reception was going to be.
Oh my goodness, if this had been my wedding, I would have cried so hard! Luckily my wedding's still ahead of me... have to make sure I acquaintance enough Musical performers until then... :D So amazing!!
Human beings are really strange creatures. Their singing is so thrilling and powerful. Such a memorable way of holding a wedding ceremony.

This can't fail to bring a smile even to the most cynical amongst us. Fantastic voices as well.
This is so much better than any other performances in theaters!
Amazing. Can't get enough of it! And Marius has an amazing voice.
no words except FABULOUS
