everyone critical of the rosy jones road bronzer is wrong. it’s finally my perfect bronzer! as someone who is also extremely pale irish, it’s been so lovely to bronze with it. i think it looks magnificent on you.

I’m so confused by those comments. Like do they see different colors than I do? All I saw is a flattering bronzer … makes me think it is people who are so used to the fake tan aesthetic they have forgotten how to appreciate anything other than orange as a bronzer?

I think we’re going to see a lot more pink/red leaning bronzers start to hit the market thanks to Jones Road. It’s a gap in the market I’m surprised has taken so long to fill. I’ve been using Patrick Ta’s She’s so L.A. blush as a bronzer for the last year and it is a holy grail shade, it’ll be nice to see new products in similar shades in a bronzer sized compact!
I’m so glad brands are starting to recognize the need for more red and pink toned bronzers
When my Skin is very irritated, I switch to using Vanicream Light lotion mixed with a drop or two of Chia seed oil from the Ordinary. Stratia also has an oil mix that seems like it would be great and non comedogenic, but I havent tried it. Very Affordable. I also have a very soothing, thick, wonderful cream from Rephr, I think its the intense hydration, which is SO soothing, but it breaks me out. I wish I could use rich, thick amazing moisturizing creams, but I cant. I have oily, acne prone skin. But for dry skin folks, OMG what an amazing, affordable moisturizer.

As of two days ago I was officially Influenced to buy the JR bronzer (and brush 😅) but after obsessively watching reviews from you, Devan, Kackie and TTsandra I went with the light tan instead of rosey one! I’m fairer than you but slightly warm neutral so crossing my fingers that dang shipping charge was worth it. I’m proud of myself for not just adding an additional item to cart for free shipping though because buying something I didn’t truly want/need to save on shipping isn’t really saving me money .
I support that decision! I too have been avoiding adding the extras to get free shipping. It’s definitely a mindset change.
I have SIBO as well. You’re so lucky to have found it at this juncture of your life. I’ve had it probably for much of my adult life. I think they say that abdominal surgeries can bring it on and I have my appendix out when I was 15. I’ve always had GI problems ever since. And yes, to this day, I still sometimes break out or get lesions even though otherwise my skin is quite nice for being over 60. I know this is a retro video, but I like the way you review so much that I’m going back through past videos.

I think the rosy bronzer looks so wonderful! I’m always on the hunt for a light, red-leaning bronzer. I was probably the last to hear about Sigma’s Aura blush in the color In the Saddle being a wonderful red-toned bronzer. I swooped it up and love it! It’s also currently in Sigma’s sale section. I would happily pay full price for it though!

I swear the people who hate pink or red
tinged bronzers for cool toned people are stuck in the early 00s orange fake tan/orange foundation mindset where every one had to be the same copy/pasted shade. Dusty Rose looks *amazing* on you and I'll be thinking about it for the future. Right now I'm layering a blush and a bronzer for a similar effect but it would be nice to have it all in one.

I have a couple of backups of the lip replenisher so I'm never out! It replaced my agave lip mask when they totally screwed up the formula going vegan. It's so much more thick and long-lasting than the Bite! I loooooove it. :)

I recommend looking at the Bodyography glitter pigments in Caviar; it looks to be a close match to the VB shade, and their formula is one of my favorite loose glitter shadows 😊

@@StateofKait It doesn’t sting either. It’s very calming. I have very sensitive skin too. I ran out and picked up the Tatcha cream after hearing you talk about. It’s good stuff too but I may like the cicaplast a little more. Everyone’s skin is so different though.
You needa try the Good Molecules sheer mineral sunscreen. It's perfect.Thin, blendable, no white cast, soft matte finish, non stinging. Wears well under makeup and it's only $12 at Ulta.

Aaah I have pale celtic woman genes as well and I totally agree with you! I could never find a bronzer that would work for me (always so orange and so unnatural/unflattering) and I was about to buy the Jones Road because it was so different - but I already just invested in the Gucci (01) bronzer (heads up it has fragrance but even on super sensitive skin it has not irritated me). It has that pinkish, slightly burnt, and icy chocolate tone that is so similar to what my skin actually turn into when I am (rarely, but still) tan xD And it's so cute! I actually recommend it. But I think I would still want to try the Jones Road too, because it looks even more pink and I actually think it looks super nice and natural on you! (and love the eye shadows today! and all the lip products!! haha love your videos :D) Xx Mai

Benzoyl peroxide is great for clearing acne! I use PanOxyl which is really affordable. It was the only thing that helped clear my stubborn mask acne.

I’m debating between repurchasing the Pro Resilience Serum or trying out the Dieux Skin Deliverance Serum instead once I run out. What would you say are their differences?
I’m always on the hunt for hydrating, soothing, and calming products (skin type: dehydrated, oily, and acne prone)
I no longer use the Dieux because the Sachi is so much more effective for me ❤️ personally, the Dieux has started stinging my face (I’m quite sensitive to niacinamide) so I’m no longer using it. Sachi all the way!

Bobby brown is still one of the only makeup artist brands (her eponymous brand and now Jones Road) to use red tones in her bronzers instead of yellows and oranges. Reason she gives is that you first are red/pink, then tan, once you have sun exposure. I know that’s true in my case (dark brown hair, green eyes, fair-light skin, tans easily). How are you fairing up in Garberville with this crazy weather? We used to live in San Francisco, now in Nashville, but moving to Cheyenne Wyoming in may. Used to go through Garberville in way up to Shasta, Fortuna, Little River, etc. Know it well!
Hard to believe people would tell you that bronzer looks "ugly" on you! It looks great on you and it looks great on me, too! I fonally have to right color bronzer! I think I really want the Hourglass Balm in Slip although I have never had Hourglass lip product before and they are not a brand I would go to for lip products. Thanks for the reviews!

Have you tried the new-ish slightly green tinted mineral sunscreen from Hero? It’s really helped my sensitive skin and it’s a natural finish that helps control oil. I’m really curious about these Paula’s Choice and EltaMD mineral sunscreens now!!
I haven’t! I already have two holy grail SPF 30 sunscreens so I’m only testing sunscreens that are around SPF 45 or higher
Hi Kait, Have you ever tried La Roshe Posey Cicaplast Balm? I wrecked my skin barrier and that stuff healed it in 2 days. It’s great stuff and only around 15.99 😊

I haven’t! I had laser hair removal so shave bulls aren’t an issue for me

I do feel like I'm always a *tad* bit dry no matter the formula of the mineral sunscreen, but this isn't any more dry than the next zinc based sunscreen

Not interested in trying them - one of their products was recently pulled due to contamination. I'm over clean beauty brands not putting preservatives in their formulas.

Just on rephr brushes has anyone noticed any being very slightly scratchy at first...? Not all their brushes, but a few of the face and cheek ones, it could be because they're so new or on the other hand I'm probably not washing them enough, though to be fair it was a tiny bit prickly when first used and then since.*? Any clues from anyone would be most appreciated. Maybe wash them more to wear them in.? .They're so expensive I want to get at least that soft feel, again most of mine are great but more than a few are not soft enough like my $4 Elf complexion brush, its very random the differences 🙏🇦🇺😘 Thank you from down here in Australia 🥰👍

I don't think either of them are hydrating. The most hydrating mineral sunscreen I have without being greasy is the Live Tinted Hue Guard SPF 30

The Lisa Eldridge gloss in Sorcery is pretty much my ideal lip colour, but I'm still resisting buying it because I loathe the component. Once you've used a third of the Gloss Embrace you can't reach it anymore with the stubby applicator and you have to pop off the stopper and swipe out around to smear it back into reach. Then when you get another third of the way down you have to take off the stopper again and use a lip brush to reach the remaining gloss. It's a great product but that makes it such a faff to use. I don't hear many people complaining about it, but I think that's because most people (especially Lisa Eldridge fans) have thousands of lip products and probably don't get that far in to any one to encounter the issue. But I've dedicated myself to fully using up two of the gloss embrace tubes and they are nice, but not nice enough to make up for how much this gives me the shits.
I also hate the applicator. I find it SO stiff and pokey! 😩
@@StateofKait I was going to mention that too, but I'd already written an essay 😂. I do find it gets slightly less scratchy as it becomes more saturated with product, but it's not a pleasant, soft and plushy experience. I guess the more pigmented shades benefit from greater precision with the stiff and mean applicator, but it's really not my fave.

No! But I don’t find that minerals sunscreens ever irritate my eyes, only chemical spf

Nah a bunch of makeup artists said I’m slightly cool toned. Most products look cooler on me so I’m not sure why the Lisa Eldridge looks warmer! I think a lot of it has to do with my lighting.

Would you say that the Sachi Resilience serum is similar to Diuex’s Deliverance?
I’ve been using Deliverance for awhile and love it, but the Sachi serum seems like it could replace that plus another hydrating/antioxidant serum!
Yup, it beats Dieux Deliverance for me. I probably won't purchase Deliverance anymore because Sachi does it all, but even better.
