Laurel, John Denver sang "Some days are diamonds and some days are stones." After a few rocks this is just what I needed! How can anybody not be lifted by these two? Yet once again Laurel, am so grateful for all your hard work. (Although I imagine you get some satisfaction from the heavy research!! 🥰🤗💋)
Thank you for posting this. While I love the Shindig version of Lovin' Feelin' where the spot guys can't find Bobby and Bill, this is such a great quality and the guys aren't sharing the stage with 50 other people, and having to share the audio with screaming girls in the audience. But what's with shooting their hands clapping during Sticks and Stones. Ha! I've already watched it 3 times today.
I just wish the orchestra hadn’t missed its cue, leaving Bill a little high and dry there. They’re probably not used to someone who can sing a cold open! i saw the Shindig version on tv and I vividly remember being blown away. Thanks!
I made certain to include that bit in the video. Danny Kaye was very active in humanitarian causes, and he was very well liked.. Similarly, I was impressed by Bill’s kindness and graciousness when I met him. A little flirtatious, too!
@user-ni6qo8uv5g Tell me about the tee shirt, and write back about the concert! I' m going in November. Medleymaniacs unite! You can write me at Laurelt1948@gmail.com
This is awesome Laurel. Thank you for all the research you must do to find all these wonderful clips of our beloved Righteous Brothers. Thank you so much. I was blessed to purchase 2 albums 1-45 and 1CD of our Righteous Brothers this morning at a yard sale. I actually bought two plastic tubs full of records and CD's not knowing what they were for $40. Many awesome records other than our boys from the 50's & 60's. An absolute great find.
I really liked Danny Kaye's variety show.He quit after the 1966-7 season. That's how Harvey Korman ended up on The Carol Burnett Show.Thurl Ravenscroft is the bailiff in the trial sketch. He was the voice of Tony the Tiger.
@@LaurelT1948 She also voiced Natasha. She voiced Nell Fenwick in Dudley Doright. She voiced Granny and Witch Hazel in Warner cartoons.Mel Blanc was once asked if he considered June Foray the female Mel Blanc. His answer was he considered himself the male June Foray.
A couple of YT videos had Bill Medley's height as 5'8" which I found very surprising but without seeing him standing next to somebody whose height was known I couldn't confirm if that was right or not. But now seeing Danny Kaye (listed on celebheights as 5'11") standing next to him I believe BM was about the same height as DK or an inch taller at 6'.0". Bobby Hatfield looked to be about 5'7".
I met him after a concert earlier this year, and I estimated him to be about 6 ‘1”. But it’s the Voice that really counts! He’s extremely nice and down to earth, by the way. Hope you enjoy the offerings on the channel!
Love the Righteous Brothers. But must add Shirley Jones was a master singer/actress long before the Partridge Family show. She had appeared in several musicals on stage and film in the 1950's and 60's such as Oklahoma!, Carousel, and The Music Man. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for playing a vengeful prostitute in Elmer Gantry.
There’s nothing like them today. Maybe they’re considered too old-fashioned for today,, but we looked forward to them every week. We were blessed with entertainers who were able to perform live.
I tear up each time I see Bobby in these videos taken when I was a teen. Big loss and gone too soon Robert (Bobby) Lee Hatfield 1940-2003 RIP
Yes, such a loss. Be sure to come again- more videos with Bobby coming soon.
@@LaurelT1948 Awesome Laurel. I always wanted to be Bobby's girl.
Well, I just found this on UA-cam and it’s amazing. And Bobby Hatfield not only sings phenomenally but he looks gorgeous.
So glad you found us here! Look around there’s a lot to enjoy, and always more coming.
Cute show, weird court case 👀 😂😋
✨ Beautiful *Righteous Brothers* 🤗🤗🙏🏼💞🌻
Glad you liked it! Such a delightful show! Love those guys!
Today August 10 is Bobby Hatfield’s 84th birthday. Dearly missed ❤
Thank you for the reminder, Eloise. Bobby was one of a kind, and he had one of the most beautiful voices ever. There will never be another like him.
@@LaurelT1948 Yes ,I agree. I loved his voice and his humor.
Bobby wäre noch gut in Form.
Er war immer Rang und schlank.😢
Bobby!❤ I love his low "all right" in the middle of Lovin Feelin. His beautiful voice! To have them in color too. For us to see the blue eyes better.😍
You’re so right- I like that “all right” too. It shows they’re having a good time.
Laurel this video is great for clarity and content. The boys were amazing as usual. They can sing and play any part. I loved loved stick n stones.
I love seeing their skits, and I’m glad you liked it, too!
How 6:48 Wonderful to be able with a few clicks to bring back Bobby añd Bill in all their greatness. Gawd

What happened to these wonderful shows?

I heard that they would be expensive to produce today.
@@susanbrogan3267 That’s probably it.
I noticed that Billy says man just after they sing the summary . I don't believe that was part of the skit
I’m sure it wasn’t!
Bobby is animated he can't keep still
Yes! It must have been a fun experience.
Heute lässt Medley bei dem Song einiges weg.
Bekommt er sicher nicht mehr hin.
Bill is singing the song differently from Bobby in memory of him.
