Looks really nice but as soon as you started listing all those parts I knew it's something I can't afford. Guess the average buyer will just have to wait till the official BSA scrambler gets made. Hopefully this will give them some good ideas especially when it comes to the paint scheme.
That BSA Scrambler is Bloody Gorgeous! That paint job on the tank is perfect! I'd love to have and ride one of those, but sadly I'm unable to ride two wheels since my accident at work in 2009, only three wheels now due to my crippled left leg, Yet my passion will always be two wheels and that Bike is Wicked!! 🖤👍🤘
I was absolutely devastated when my Lower Limb Specialist told me back in 2010 that I would never be able to ride two wheeled Motorcycles again, incase I damage my right leg, and the thought of a Trike was very alien to me, But I decided that the only way to go was to convert to a trike! Now since the summer of 2015, I have ridden my 2007 converted in early 2015 Harley Davidson 1580 Dyna Street Bob Ol' Skool Chopper Trike called "The Monster" And since 2015 I have been fabricating many one off parts in my Garage, and it now has a 60's-70's style about it, The answer in this life is whatever is thrown at You, never ever give up! And like I tell many people, always have a hobby to stimulate Your mind as it's good for Your Mental Health and Wellbeing! 👍🤘😎
Thanks Darcy for another interesting revue, you`re getting really good at this. Would like one of these for sure, the sort of bike just to jump on a go and not worry about keeping it clean and the odd scratch or dent would make it look even better.
What a fantastic paint job on that tank, absolutely gorgeous. Classic and tasteful, much better looking than the crome tank of the standard BSA. The golden rear sprocket is a miss in my view, but apart from that it's a great looking bike. A shame about the excessive noise though, such a nice bike doesn't need that.
Love the enthusiasm.......simple changes make so much difference. Would be a satisfying project to complete gradually over time bit by bit and wouldn't cost the earth. 👍
Great bike.. good for Moorespeed for building this.. my personal taste would be less radical but loads of good ideas on this one. Wish I was going to the show to see it!
Love the look of the MSR BSA Scrambler, I was in my local BSA dealer last Saturday deciding how and what I'd need to do to turn a new Gold Star in to a Scrambler, the idea was actually inspired by the BSA Scrambler concept you and the Ol Man featured in your 2022 NEC report , it might now be the time to talk to MSR about building a BSA Scrambler for me. Looking forward to seeing your next BSA custom.
Beautiful paint job , stunning job all round except for the rad . Needs to be smaller and neater , I had an aprilia moto 6.5 (yeah I know) and the rad was never as conspicuous as this one , gotta say though the rotax engine ran very nicely .
Hi Darcy… very interesting video, mainly because it shows what’s possible using the base bike as a starting point. Personally, the bike as it stands is not for me - I’d seek to make it very much like the prototype scrambler seen at the show. But I CAN see the possibilities. As for the bike as tested - it’s not true that it will offend no-one… that straight-thru pipe IS offensively loud, and plays into the hands of bike haters, which none of us need, do we? One curious feature - I wonder why there is 75mm of fresh air under the engine before you find the frame? Anyhow, good review as always, and really looking forward to the other custom versions. Cheers. 👍❤️😎✅
This custom scrambler may not be quite perfect yet but it's a proper transformation. Hats off to MSR for showing us what can be done with the modern classic platform. Here's hoping BSA management are paying attention too.
That is a really nice looking bike, its so well done it looks factory rather than custom. I guess there are a lot of items which add costs, for example the suspension upgrades, which add significantly, but you could get that look without all the other items. Really like the looks of the other two bikes looking forward to seeing the videos on those.
Agreed. Bikes should be as analog as possible. With all of the electronics and nanny aids available they are turning into cars and nobody wants that. Maybe I am just turning into an old fart.
I'm a Royal Enfield man myself but I have to say, if I had the money or BSA started knocking these out at an affordable price, i reckon i'd get one. It looks and sounds amazing! 😊
The signals or awesome on this bike. I prefer the street version over the scrambler but it sounds good. Nice thumper sound. The details though on this bike r just really nice though.
That's been done really well.. Stunning, if BSA themselves can turn out the same as a Bike, would be a winner. With what has come from Royal Enfield.. (I've a 21 BS4 Himalaya).. had they made a 650 single there'd be Competition. The 452 is a great improvement over the 411, so given the rest of the World has caught up on the Market, it should maintain the edge as allrounder.. but rollout a 650 single Scam... Oh boy.. If only I'd room for another Bike.. ....
I think it looks great, especially like the paint job, old BSA. Just needs a different exhaust, I prefer low level like the prototype scrambler. Nice review cheers.
That looks very nice, Glad more people are doing different things with this new Goldie to attract more attention to it. Put that next to the Himalayan and it would look a different league, hope BSA are taking note. I can't wait to see the cafe Racer one, as that's what my new BSA is morphing into 👍
Maybe having the exhaust take it’s OE route but then kick up behind the footpeg would look better, the gap at the front and under the engine that’s made visible by the high level re-route looks odd to my eye. It really needs a larger diameter front wheel as well IMO. P.S. the dials don’t go backwards, they just start from a different position to most other clocks.
It looks fantastic. I do think 450cc is about as large as I'd want to see a thumper. I wonder how it'll stack up with the Triumph 400 Scrambler. I can only really fault them for the lack of radiator protection with those knobbies. Knobbies will throw rocks even on the asphalt.
Put me down for one, but I think I want the radiator to go away. Lol. Love the look, sorta close to the Triumph, but sounds nothing like one. Wonderful bike!😊
@@MrDarcy-OlMan the one you had looked ok, but loved the look of the cafe, and it stuck out to me. but i do like the look and what they did with it. might just be me. seeing it in real life you perceive it, in its true nature.
Best way to look at commenting is to know that UA-cam's algorithm favours engagement, and doesn't care if comments are positive or negative. So all the negative comments gets you more views and more exposure. They might be moaning Myrtles, but they help your channel grow. ;)
I still reckon BSA should go ahead and make a version of a 650 Himalayan as Enfield are afraid of doing the same thing. The engine has already been used in the BMW F650GS so it has its own adventure heritage. I'd buy that, or this scrambler to be fair.
It's a sweet sweet ride. Bike haters of any sort should just chill out. Maybe the engineers who built the original would be looking down and wishing they had the tech to build this. I don't even think it's a maybe. Ride safe all. Cool vid Darcy.
Lovely job looks really nice 😊😊 Definitely tho extended front mudguard needed and yes the exhaust will be sorted May look better with a bigger front wheel but it looks amazing 😊😊 ✅🙌🙌
now that do's look a lot better than the original (New) Gold Star and that Tank truly sets it off : Like it ... (But I like Enfields better.) But a Very nice custom Bike.
Shame we don't get these in the States. BSA announced they would come to the US "some time in 2023" but that has failed to materialize and I doubt they will make good on that promise.
The price of the customization is not bad at all TBH for a one off custom build. I'll probably never be able to afford it but that's just a small matter lol
i don’t get it ,if you want a rotax buy a rotax or rotax engined BMW f650/jawa/can am or matchless, if you want a goldstar buy a BSA goldstar ,the owners of the BSA brand name mahindra are well known for their excellent jeep 4x4’s as well as a range of extremely affordable lightweight copies of Chinese copies of early Japanese light weight motorcycles , buying an indian made copy of an Austrian engine disguised as an english made 1950’s road burner fitted into modern cycle parts just doesn’t make sense to me
the paint job is fantastic ,,, as for a one off special = 12 grand is not over priced , i doubt if there is any profit in that ,, as you know i can be critical = but if it's nice i say so = whether it's for me or not , different views are important , smooth with the rough = this one is smooth ;;;
That sound is very much like the original Gold Star. It had that sharp bark it was an unmistakable sound that only a Gold Star had. They always sounded like a very powerful bike even the 350cc.
Just looks a bit odd to me. Engine looks to high in the frame, mudguard would be pointless and way to high, radiator looks like a barn door, side number plate always looks daft apart from that it's fine....
Looks homemade. I definitely don't agree on the paint job. Exhaust is just bling with no practical use. If it is not dirt cheap it has no chance of survival.
This is one of the coolest looking scramblers🔥
It really is! 👌🏻
What a stunning looking bike, looks fantastic and beautifully built.
Fantastic looking bike with a beautiful paint job! I only wish there would have been some smaller high efficient radiator available...
Grateful to you championing British customisers and engineering. Lovely looking bike can't wait to see the others
Lovely looking bike! I would like to see it with a larger front wheel and a smaller rad like the Triumphs
That looks absolutely fantastic, love it,great job.
Thanks, it sure does!
I love this customised look, what a gorgeous paint job and the sound of it! ❤
Thank you so much!
Nice !!! Would like to see a more "subtle" radiator though.
That bike is stunning and sounds epic! Looking forward to seeing the other two👏👏👍

Absolutely stunning looking bike, feel like I need to take a trip to MSR to see there other work. Great video as always!
I think this is the bike I own now. Still running the engine in. First service next month.

That's really really lovely, as is the cafe racer. The motor looks great in that format and I can live with the radiator.

Look at those mudguards!..the Ol’ man will have a fit!!….great for Southern Spain or California…not so good in the Lake District ⛈️🤣🤣⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️
Yes you’re right there 😂
I normally don't like green motorbikes but for whatever reason it seems to really suit scramblers.
Great review MrDarcy , those guys at MSR do some great custom work at there cool shop !
Great guys 👍
Lovely bike ,a longer front mudgaurd and it would be great .sounds great to.
Hello, its a Rotax engine, I've always been a fan.
Great looks except for that radiator which wouldn't look out of place being used to heat someone's lounge!
Tbh it doesn’t bother me

Looking forward to a full review.
It’s just great to have BSA back in the mix. Yes I know they are owned by an Indian company but what isn’t. I bought a GS and very pleased with it.
Great bike.. good for Moorespeed for building this.. my personal taste would be less radical but loads of good ideas on this one. Wish I was going to the show to see it!

Totally agree, I’d opt for something less extreme and costly myself. Which is why I really enjoyed riding the other scrambler they sent me!
Neat looking bike. My chiropractor recommends I get the Cafe racer version though, for "nostalgic purposes".
Love the look of this and that sound is brilliant
Yes please come on bsa build it for real I would buy one perfect for my long legs should be pretty good on the muddy tracks too

And reserve valve on fuel tank

The BSA 650 Shadow Black is £5999 which is cheaper than the Interceptor!
So next year a BSA Scrambler 650 will come. let's wait for it.
The sweet spot to rev that motor at the end of the video... Sounds very nice 👌
