I went to hospital and I kept having to get my blood sugars checked and I was like “why can’t they just do my bloods with theseee” because I am suck a needle phobic person I just sob every time I get a blood test (which is like once a week because I’ve got hepatitis)
I found it to be more of slight achy pain but not bad. And I found one prick with the needle was enough to fill both little tubes. I think if you follow the advice - make sure you are well hydrated, that your hand is warm and you use a ‘milking’ action (running the fingers and thumb of your other hand firmly down your hand and little finger) you should be fine. The results are back very quickly and are very detailed. They also give advice on how to correct any sub-optimal results you may have. I am very impressed! This is really something the NHS should do more of, with the patients comply with the advice. A lot of money would be saved with fewer heart attacks, strokes, liver disease etc. I have ordered regular re-checks with this company. It sounded expensive but I feel it’s good value if I can live a longer, healthier life through being aware of what’s going on inside me.
I have diabetes and I used to do these about 10 times a day. They hurt a tiny bit at first but then you get really used to it and it feels like a touch on the finger. Now I use a dexcom but I still do the fingertip check when I need too.
it does hurt a bit and one is never enough with the amount they need so you end up with a finger with 3 slits in it. if your sensitive to pain then yes it does hurt, especially doing it 3 times and trying to squeeze out all that blood. I lost most over my other fingers that went in the tube.
Ive never passed out from getting my blood drawn, yesterday I asked to get it drawn expecting them to go to my arm. No! They walk in with finger pricks and poked me twice since my circulation sucks!! I almost fainted, never have freaked out like that before haha.
I’ve pricked myself so many times u get use to it but I don’t mind the pain I suffered with diabetes for ages so when I see blood on my finger I don’t care

I'm 15 right now but I think at 13 I had to go on a ambulance and they pricked my finger, it honestly is not bad I was only shocked at first cuz um well it's quite fast and I don't think they told me what it was...

the devices they use at my local hospital dont hurt really, i have a blood condition that requires constant blood tests
Idk why but for me they just feel like a pinch and the tiny hurt goes away fast

Oh my god I thought it was gonna hurt. It did but not as much as I expected. Bit disappointed - wanted more pain tbf

I have diabetes and I have for like 5 years depends on how high you put the finger pricker is on or just what one you use you would get use to it.

No they don’t when I was 6 I got 2 of my fingers pricked
Because you only got them pricked a few times as a diabetic I have to prick my fingers multiple times per day every day and it does hurt

It hurt but it’ll go away soon. But if the person prick u very hard then the hurt will last like a week. From experience here 😂
