Such a helpful vid! I followed this step by step. There were a couple of removals that you didn’t film (batter connector and grounding screw) but I was able to figure it out with context and get the paste applied. Hoping this helps my ridiculous overheating issue. Thanks so much!

I followed this. At 26:40 you made a mistake, make sure the thunderbolt connector "clicks". I had the same problem as you, the MacBook wouldn't turn on, then I reconnected the cable making sure there was a "click" and the Mac turned on as soon as I connected the power cable.
I hate this model... it happens all the time... you might be right :)

Hello, I just did this on my Macbook pro a2159, I put everything back together and it's not turn back on. Any tips ?
Inspect all fpc connectors, ground screw etc. If nothing works try the old battery again.
