You know what would happen if NASA's budget was raised to one trillion dollars. All the NASA administrators would be getting huge pay raises. There'd also be a bunch of donations from NASA to Democrat & Republican campaign coffers.
And if its budget was traded with the military's then you'd have death across the globe as warlords rapidly expanded their borders because they knew the USA was going to be unable to stop them.
And all we'd really have to cut is the amount of federal workers we've hired that staff failed, redundant bureaucracies.

considering travelling to moon or into the space is considered a big deal at "human endurance speeds" , i dont think so it would be possible in the current century. 20% the speed of light is 6 x 10^7 or 60 million m/s. At that speed "MANY THINGS COULD GO WRONG" . U might not believe but we are a very weak species. Of course we became strong cause of our intelligence but we have to put everything in our equation to find a new home

Aditionally, id say Nasa should get at least 35 to 50 billion per year since we need space. Earth is, lets say the truth, too late to save. We need to either find a way to get humanity to another planet by 2150 ~ or NASA does a Miracle yet again and saves earth.

What we need to get to Proxima Centauri is an engine that harnesses the power of Dank Matter.
We have already harnessed the power of Dank Memes.

I've heard the *theoretical* top speed of breakthrough starshot is 25% of the speed of light.
That means that it could go 134.2 million MPH at its almost definite max speed, and about 167.75 million MPH at its *theoretical* top speed.
