A 70yr old black man overheard this song outside a convenience store and asked if it was a Christian band. I said no but wrote down the song and name. He said he loved them from hearing the chorus. So we gained a 70 yr old fan!
Damn, i think he had 2 mins of heart attacks from Matt's screams till he heard the chorus again XDDD
😶🌫️☺️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Don’t make it about race
@@ekulyarg exactly
I don't want to like it because it's @ 70 likes it's so fitting lmfao 🤣🤣
Starting a song with just drums??? I see this as a testament to how EXCELLENT Alex Bent truly is. They put him front and center on this one, and I love it!
you're absolutly right! I think everyone was put front in center on this album. This is the best trivium has sounded as a single unit ever.
Next they should put Paolo on drums and Alex on bass and backing vocals just to fuck with us. I think that’d be a great experiment.
Oh they've been using him appropriately ever since he joined
pull harder on the strings of your martyr called, reminding you of the best drum intro ever made.
@@bradhaines3142 ^^
This album is an atom bomb. All of the previous albums incorporated into one.
what amazing creativy that is to achieve. the mix still sounds as unbalanced as matt's voice on his live streams.
@@budswayzeniger3473 I can smell the jealousy from over here
@@HijoDeDios999 Jealous of Matt's singing? It's really not that good. I've seen them live 7 or 8 times and it's definitely one of the band's weaknesses...
@@bimonsolivar8898 He's jealous of this band's success. And yeah Matt unfortunately tends to restrain himself and only goes all out on the album recordings, still a good singer though
@@HijoDeDios999 yh he has to recently more so due to the damage he did
This song was already an 11/10, but the orchestral ending made it a 13/10!
Trivium has matured really well, the new albums since Alex joined the band are in another level. 🤘
Trivium aged like fine wine, I love it
That's the point men!! Well said!!
I agree . But in my opinion, Shogun still the best work.
@@chat_cantante Absolutely.
I agree. Their progression and evolution has been unreal.🤘🏽🖤
This has been a damn fine year for metal.
Yeah esp the new btbam record!
Yup and I think this may get AOTY. ERRA had it before for me.
Trivium, ERRA, Spiritbox, Chevelle all great albums this year
@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 I’d say ERRA still is winning for me. But this is close second for me.
@@Minifigcreator97 Yeah, I’ll confirm once I give it a full spin tomorrow. Can’t forget Born Of Osiris, Beartooth, While She Sleeps, Tremonti, and Rise Against too!
Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
Destined to burn
Those words carved into their heads
Fearful they won't say his name, they gaze
Off afar, in mute dismay
Nothing left sacred
[Pre-Chorus]
We are the ones who burn it all to the ground
As we say our prayers
We are the ones who burn it all to the ground
As we say our prayers
[Verse 2]
We must admit
Our punishment is deserved
Callous to those that surround us all
Reaping in service of self
Fruit from a dying womb
[Pre-Chorus]
We are the ones who burn it all to thе ground
As we say our prayers
We arе the ones who burn it all to the ground
As we say our prayers
[Chorus]
So we fall (Fall!)
Fall into your hands
So we fall (Fall!)
Fall into your hands
So we fall
Fall into your hands
Fall (Fall!)
Fall into your hands
Go!
[Bridge]
Sanctioned to serve
Brought to your knees
Lost inside my head
Freedom to bleed
Summoned from the depths (Summoned from the depths)
Crawl towards the sky
A fleeting light breaks through
The dark and bitter sky
Sanctioned to serve
Brought to your knees
Lost inside my head
Freedom to bleed
Summoned from the depths
Crawl towards the sky
A fleeting light breaks through
The dark and bitter sky
What if we were meant to fail?
What if we were meant to die?
What if we were meant to fail?
Running for our whole lives
[Verse 3]
Destined to burn
Those words carved into their heads
Fearful they won't say his name, they gaze
Off afar, in mute dismay
Nothing left sacred
[Pre-Chorus]
We are the ones who burn it all to the ground
As we say our prayers
[Chorus]
So we fall (Fall!)
Fall into your hands
So we fall (Fall!)
Fall into your hands
So we fall
Fall into your hands
Fall
Fall into your hands
Fall.
Now, now I can die in peace! Holy fuck, masterpiece!
Thanks for the lyrics, your a hero

Merci pour les paroles du Québec
The singles were epic but the rest of the album is godly.
True fucking that!
you can say the album is "Lovecraftian".
(because the album talks about hp lovecraft)

Lo what the dead men says had the best art and production in the sound and vids
I agree. In my opinion this is the best album they've ever made.
@@stewiehitsthegriddy6998 to be fair dude, it’s only opinion. The reason I believe this to be far above WTDMS is how natural this sounds compared to WTDMS. It’s less overproduced in comparison, has more natural sounding instruments, less compressed. But, that is what I prefer records to sound like. No beef with your opinion. End of the day, this album is absolute fire.
@@jordanbenson2980 oh yeah, itcotd is leagues better I just think wtdms is still good

The strings in this album really gave it an epic high fantasy feel.

Bass slap sounds
Iron Maiden-Senjutsu
Gojira-Fortitude
Carcass-Torn Arteries
And now Trivium released a beast
In November Exodus will release their new one.
This year can't get any better
Yes, adding a Metallica Album!! 🔥🔥
And Mastodon's new album, Hushed and Grim.
And volbeat december 3rd
Be'lakor - Coherence can certainly part of the discussion too!
Matt: "So we fall, fall into your hands"
Me: Goosebumps
I’m done comparing all their albums, but this song just hits different. Absolutely amazing
Remember of all these yesterdays
I love how the vocals on recent records have begun to incorporate a lot more of the whole band, great stuff
just a shame paulo is bad at singing live and a few times his mics been too high..but on record it fits well
Whats up Jacob...How ya doing brother?
Corey's low screams and Paolo's high harmonies throughout this album really add a lot of texture. Everything came together fantastically.
I really like them, but the only consistent vocalist in trivium is Matt. Live, Paolo has his moments, and Corey has been sounding a bit weird lately. It's a shame really
@@ptr_does_music7042 I love Trivium but i have to be honest, Matt slightly survive singing live too... not gonna blame him tho he gave it all for us all these years, i'm appreciated that he re-build his styles and success anyway.
This song is a fucking beast. Thrashy, Riffy, insane solos, crazy drums, and a complete banger. This whole album is filled with riffs, solos, and some very heavy and thrashy songs. I’m loving it.
The thrashy touch and Alexs drumming is what get me into Trivium
5:10 - 5:35 love this part Trivium Giving us a Metropolis p1 vibes
You're right! Total Metropolis Pt 1 vibes! I've always known Trivium had that kind of stuff in them. I'm glad to see them finally write something in that vein.
holy shit yea! immediately thought about dream theater too. love it
It also reminds me of orphaned land somehow
reminds me of death
Very proggy! Love that they incorporate this stuff.
Ah this album has also got so much technicality and proginess. They also haven't held back squandering notes in flashy solos. Gonna rock this record for long.
This entire album kicks ASS, Trivum has proven themselves to be one of the best metal bands, ever!
I feel like Trivium is renewed . Its like they just found their sound again and are having an explosion of creativity.
I don't they ever really lost there sound they've always been great musicians, they've just had to work round some tough situations like drummer changes, vocal issues. And they've experimented with different directions. I personally like how diversity they are and how there albums all have a different sound while still being Trivium. Completely agree with the creative part though, Alex has brought in that and probably Matts new vocal technique also with him not having to worry so much. I dunno its a great album
Yes! I'm really glad they realized that it's okay not to change their sound drastically every album.
The explosion of creativity started in The Sin And The Sentence and we've been blessed ever since.
I love Silence In The Snow btw.
@@carlogonzales9417 well in my opinion the sin and the sentence doesn't really sound like Wtdms and Court of the dragon sounds completely different to both of them also
I love how every instrument is being showcased at some point during the song.
Did anyone had goosebumps while listening to this master piece
I damn near teared uo first time I heard this song not gonna lie
I get goosebumps still everytime it breaks into the solo
This song is such a masterpiece, it has everything you could ever want out of a "metal" song 🤷🤘🤘🤘❤️
The Drumming in this track is Godly Duplantier level.
One can dream of a future co-headliner tour of Trivium and Gojira...
@@Wernershnitzl how many limbs will it cost?
Completely amazed by the bass section at 3:45 followed by that epic solo!
My favorite band continues to rise.
Every new release makes me feel like a child on Christmas... Fucking amazing job guys. 🤘
Reading this comment on Christmas fuck yea haha
That solo was 🔥
This should've been the album closer instead of The Phalanx. It just ends so perfectly.
I totally agree. This would have been the "ending the album on a high note" vibe.
Tha Phalanx is great but it's more of a middle track type of song.
The riff behind the first solo is so good, it works really well
2mins in...... faaaaaaaackkkkkkkkk 🤯🤯🤯🤯🔥🔥 what a powerful chorus!!
HOLY....Wow....this is an absolute masterpiece of a song in EVERY SINGLE way.... I am absolutely once again...blown away by Trivium.
The vocals are SPOT on as usual..the guitar riffs are INSANE.. The drums are complete perfection as well!! The transitions in tempos work SO WELL... The intro..the outro...I mean DAMN... They definitely are a cohesive unit at this point.. Thank you for giving us this amazing song...rock on guys!!
Best track of the album and one of the band's carrer highlights.
What I really admire about Trivium is the complexity of their music, at least regarding the drums.
It doesn't take much to play drums in general. Anyone with tow healthy feet/legs and hands/arms can learn how to play drums very easily and fast. But playing technical difficult and rhythmical complex structures like you find in music of Slipknot, Trivium, Jinjer, Spiritbox and many other great metal bands really takes much much training and just a great drummer. So huge respect to Trivium's amazing drummer who is doing an amazing job at the drums which really isn't easy with songs like this.
Greetings from Argentina! 🇦🇷🤘🏻 Cómo es posible que éstos 4 tipos hagan TODO bien?? son unas bestias. Gracias por existir Trivium

Another thing I really love about this album is how well you can hear the bass. Paolo shines like crazy on this album. I love it, and I’m a guitarist so I usually listen to the riffs and solos. But the bass stood out
Yeah too often in metal especially the bass kinda gets buried in the mix, I'm a guitarist who started out on bass and still plays both when recording stuff so I appreciate it, This album Paulo really got to shine
Just one word. MASTERPIECE.
Trivium never disappoint. This is new era of metal
Best solos on the album imho
Amazing song. Greetings from Poland🇵🇱!
Am I the only one getting Shogun vibes from this album? Even the song titles give me that vibe!! Absolutely LOVE THIS ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!!! 10/10!
When Matt Screams GO! You best start moving...even if you're laying in bed. hahahaha
This song takes u on a journey
ascendancy meets silence in the snow!
this is how i define this album.
I would have said Ascendancy and Shogun because of the more complex arrangements like Sword over Damacles or Crisis of Revelations, Don't really get the SITS it's far too aggressive to really sound similar to that album for me, but my opinion is no more valid than yours so not criticising in any way
Kinda has a little bit of every album in it. I love every album they've made but this is my new favorite. The whole album is godly
Probably my favourite song they've ever recorded 🔥🔥🔥\m/
I am already addicted to this song. There’s just something about it that drew me in and now it won’t let me go🤯🔥❤️🔥
It screams at me like my dad. I can't walk away from it. \m/
2021 Disclaimer: That was a joke. Please remain calm.
Big Gojira vibes on that intro
which gojira song is it? i'm not able to place it
@@Andy666TheBeast Nothing in particular, but I can hear Joe's vocals on that intro, sounds a lot like Gojiras new stuff. I love it!
The chorus got me good.
With every album I wonder how they can out do the last, and every single time they take it up by a million levels!!!!!!
After the epic trilogy of TSATS | WTDMS | ITCOTD, I hope Trivium will explore the Melodeath route more.
This album is combination between Metalcore, Heavy metal, Trash metal and Power metal. All of them work together and creates an absolute MASTERCLASS!
This is the best song of the New album.🔥
Can't get enough of the intro/chorus drum riff.
Greetings from Turkey🇹🇷🇹🇷 So good!!🇹🇷🇹🇷
One of your best...and that's saying something
2:55 riff realmente asesino ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm loving this song so much speedy, change of rithm, progressive moments, and ridiculous drumming. The whole album is a mature masterpiece the best from trivium imo because of its variety. Matt is a fucking genius
After a few listens to the album I think this might be my favourite along with The Phalanx! The chord progression in the chorus is glorious! And that middle section is something else too!
I fxcking love the evolution of this band.
Best song on the album for me. It has everything.
.
Best song of the album, and one of the best of Trivium blessed catalog. What a masterpiece, can't forget!!
so good, you can hear the ascendancy vibe!
Best song on the album imo
Tied with court for me. That solo from 4:22 until 5:23 is 🔥
"What if we were meant to die? What if we were meant to fail?" 4:50
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m one of those Trivium fans that just *has* to say “this isn’t nearly as good as Shogun” after every release. But THIS one. Idk if it’s better than Shogun but it’s getting REAL damn close. Amazing release and one of the greatest albums out out by the band. Gonna be having this one on repeat for a long time.
I'm right there with ya, this album is incredible from start to finish.
Personally I think this album is better than shogun. Probably my favorite album from them now
I’m sorry I think tsats and wtdms were both better than shogun, like by miles
To me this album is about draimans influence w vengeance and how it almost destroyed the band and the years it took for trivium to reach this type of sound is a second peak. They have finally committed to a sound for the first time in years and it seriously shows. This album came out of nowhere to everyone. Most people who are fanatics of bands tend to claim each album among the top, but this is exactly what this album did.
@@nostradamus2231 I think that’s the beauty of being a Trivium fan though. Ember to Inferno was written when Trivium were just *kids*. Young teenagers. Now everyone’s grown men, Matt has two kids and a wife now. Naturally the band’s identity and music has changed over so many years and different generations of fans have their own favorite albums. I was in high school when I found Trivium and iirc they had just come out with Ascendancy/were just releasing The Crusade. I think back in ‘08 I felt like Shogun was this grand epic of an album but with age I think the comparison I want to make now as a fan in his late 20’s is In the Court of the Dragon truly feels like a grand epic whereas Shogun is more like poetry. Since Shogun I feel like the band has experimented and expanded their range with various releases (the Draimon inspired VF, all singing SitS, groovier “Br00t@l” Stuff like on IW, etc). Admittedly, I’ve enjoyed every single Trivium release post-Shogun but haven’t fallen in love with one from start to finish (first track to the last one) like the Ember to Inferno-Shogun era. In the Court of the Dragon however has been one of those albums for me. It’s a tremendous, epic effort and stylistically does feel like an amalgamation of the prior albums just like Shogun felt like a melting pot of the albums before it. I think the parallels between the two albums are there and that’s a high, high compliment. I think that there are a lot of things that ItCotD has that Shogun doesn’t. As much as I love Travis the drums here are absolutely phenomenal and more importantly ambitious. Travis was always a very dependable drummer for the band and always found a way to fit into the mix. Alex more than fits in, he imagines and creates, shreds on drums just as creatively as Matt and Corey orchestrate riffs or solos. The percussion on this album is the best I’ve ever heard from Trivium. I think I just miss Shogun for that “young, rebellious, brutal speed metal, ripping and memorable guitar work/solos” stuff too. As much as Shogun def feels like it was an album written by Trivium in their early 20’s, this album feels like the same core group of guys wrote a Shogun continuation in their 30’s. In a lot of ways this album is more mature, more deliberate and intelligent in its song structure (one of the knocks on Shogun is while all the tracks are wonderful most of them follow the same song structure so there are few curveballs in each song’s progression, the band shows their experience as song writers in this new album), all while doing its best to give us nods to previous Trivium styles which is awesome. But with it being more “mature” naturally there’s things that Shogun has that this album just doesn’t because of that. The way they perfectly not only blended together all their previous styles but created an original sound of “melodious, youthful feeling, epic, brutal thrash/speed metal”. Shogun is the perfect blend of Like epic, original emotion, melody and *technicality* (the latter of which specifically on guitars, there’s not a Trivium album since imo that has had more memorable guitar solos as a whole, Court probably comes 2nd now imo though). It’s hard for me to explain but Shogun’s thrash metal influences having come fresh off The Crusade were a little more prominent even compared to this album (while it does have the thrash metal influence there’s still just a bit more of the groove from the more modern albums of the last few years) and I think where they balanced everything with that in Shogun is more my preference if I had to pick. But there hasn’t been a single album that has sounded like the band circa Shogun until this album and as a fan it makes me really happy to be able to enjoy this. The guys have really outdone themselves with this.
Single greatest metal album of the Century for sure
Perfect to end a Show... masterpiece
This song transforms at least three times and gets more awesome with every change \m/
Man this song is probably one of the best you guys made. Holy s... Alex went bananas on the drums. \m/

I've heard the chorus get some major hate, still dont understand why. Its awesome and beautiful

Nah bro Torn or The Crusade
This is one of their best songs ever made. Possibly their best overall when it just comes down to musicianship. I can’t even rank it. I hear The Crusade, Vengeance Falls, In Waves, and The Sin A The Sentence all throughout this song. It’s absolutely ridiculous…
