Really surprised they didn't say let's be equal 1/3rd partners. Just shows you really need to weigh up all your negotiation options well before you go in the tank, then again Kevin has some skin in the game so he will make them rich.
As soon as they started talking about Tea, I got up and made a cup of Moroccan Mint Tea One of my favorites! Nothing like a hot cup of tea on a Cold Canadian Day!.
UPDATE - Nakisher and Talbott appeared on Shark Tank in February 2011, receiving an investment of $250,000 for a 35 percent stake in their company from Kevin O'Leary. Subsequently, Talbott Teas was purchased by Jamba Juice in 2012.
@@akshatsaxena2135 Searched for the amount but can't get a figure 😂 Starbucks bought Refreshers for $30 Million around the same time period, so I'd guess $10/$15 Million
Kevin realized from the beginning that this was the exit strategy. Put in 250k, start negotiating with the big guys and eventually get one of them to buy you out for what they consider pocket change. He gets more than 10x return on his investment in only a few years

This idea wasn’t a common idea in the past (in the first seasons of shark tank), but then you watch shark tank for many years and you learn
Glad it was an early show, 10 years later, change deals almost every episode

Kevin knows how to do business! impressive deal.
Tea is good business but it'sa market that requires tasting to grow. It's a social experience as much as tasting health product.
