Great video! Man, I miss this simplistic fishing. When I was in eastern Washington years ago, my buddies and I used to fish chironomid patterns vertically in 25'30' of water via full sink lines, utilizing that same slow retrieve. Some takes were subtle, others were steady take downs, with many other being crashing hits that would nearly take the rods out of our hands! Such a hoot!
Hey Jordan, I see you like to fish in my back yard too :) 2021 was my best year ever, had many 50+ fish days in May right there, and 1 with over 100 ! I think I was in the distance in your video. I'll watch for you in 2022 and come say HI. I'm the only guy with a flag hanging off my boat. I'm new to your channel, and quickly liking it more and more. I'm a student for life in fly fishing, can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. Cheers
Great video. I have a question about your setup. When I have an extra long leader, say 19 ft, it’s becomes very difficult to cast. Any tips for making casting easier?
What were your water temps that day ? How long had ice been off ? Our ice just came off up here in AK, trying it out tomorrow. U keep rowing that boat, u might get big arms someday 😜
Welcome to the joys of spring buzzer fishing on the bung, enjoyed the vid!

Great video Jordan. I’m a bit jealous that you have so many great small lakes up there to choose from. Keep it up as I enjoy the videos.

So, more length on leader then the depth ?

Those days are fun. Well documented. Might be strange to say, but it's a good thing everyday isn't that good.
Thank you, we wouldn't appreciate it if they were!
