- The manganese brass in the coin is part of the outer layer. Like any brass, its color will eventually become darker, giving these coins an antique finish. As the coins are handled frequently, the darker "patina" may wear off the high points of the coin, leaving golden-colored highlights that accent the darker background around the border, lettering and other less exposed areas. The brighter, brass highlights, in contrast with the darker background, accentuate the profile and add a dimension of depth to the depiction of Sacagawea and her child.
I'm here because I do Walmart Spark deliveries, and a sweet little old lady gave me what I thought was a half a roll of quarters as a tip, and when I got home I realized it was a full $25 dollar roll of these gold dollars. 9 of them are these type of coins, and the rest are different presidents. Just trying to see if any are worth more than their face value...Thanks for the video!
Your video about Sacagawea Golden Dollars is both very informative and helpful. Also well-made and we'll-narrated. Thanks ! ~Crawford Smith in Indiana.
So most of them are you worthless
which narrow ? Take care
I have one of coins iwant sell it. I want to know how much if i sell it im frm philippine..
I have 6 of these but still can't tell if they are Cheerios by the tail feathers....what am I missing? Watched this three times...
Same here. hopefully he replies soon
Yeah I think the tailfeathers would have a lot more detail than what his coins are showing in the video.
Funny, he didn't specify
@@patrickjames1080 No he did not specify you’re right. Turns out I have a connection where my wife works he’s got the coins looking at them now. He is a bona fide collector. But I think the comment is absolutely correct. The tailfeathers would have much more detail in them.
Ok, the cheerios dollar has rather than lineal line tail feathers , the cheerios has an additional set of feather lines going in an opposing directions . Like a cross hatch lines going in an additional directions.
Thank God you showed where the tail feathers were. I was completely lost and confused till you showed where to look for a tail feather. Thanks!
You were staring at the head, huh. 😀
very good video !! very clear and I can tell your homework has been done Congrats dude!
I enjoyed all of these videos. The ones that I watched. very informative. Explain very well. That even a child normal everyday child could and would clearly understand . In which you speak. Thank all of you very much. Thank you
Thanks for the info ,I have a used sacajawea coin some where at home but never thought it was worth any thing now I m going to check, thanks again
Wtf! I had this and I didn’t know it was so much! I was given a small coin collection when I was younger and I’m just seeing the value of these now
Thank you. Very informative. Glad to know the history.
Gorgeous work. Thank you.
who are you?
Stunning. Nice video and coin
I work at a goodwill. I guy came in today and used 12 "regular" gold sacagawea dollars to pay. My jaw hit the floor. We are allowed to take them, but have to pay the face value. I only had a dollar in cash so I could only take a dollar. Can't tell if its the cheerios variant for certain, but I doubt it.
I also have 10 wheat pennies and a Buffalo nickel.

Great video with good information! I've been binge-watching all your vids on the Sacagawea dollar. Thanks for making them! I'm learning a lot.
FYI, during the first minting of the 2000 Sacagawea dollar, some coins were minted on a mix of copper-nickel rather than the intended bronze. Due to this transitional error, these golden coins did not up being golden.
I have one it’s very light
I had lots of that
I've got 2 and I wondered why they appear to look completely different than the others... not nearly as pretty to look at for sure.
Man. I have a bunch of these back home in PA. When I get back, I'm gonna check em out. Also I know of a certain vending machine in PA that dispenses change using these. Every time I'm in the area, I use a $10 bill to buy a candy bar and get 8 of these in change. 👍
Jared Coyne
If you go to the post office and purchase stamps
through the machine, you will get dollar coins as change.
You also get them as change at automated toll booths.
Jared Coyne .. Michigan also..lots of vending machines give these in change..
Jarod, the video was taken off. What did he say about the coin, because I have alot of them as well just sitting in my coin box. Can you email me and let me know what was said You Tube took the video off...cinderellasands@gmail.com

hey can someone tell me the one that I have has no date and there's a picture of a lady holding the Apple Basket in the Indian was some kind of Arrow Compass 45 degree angle stuff from the bag is beautiful from the bank what what kind of sad to wake up it's got the lady on the front with The Indian in the basket with the fruit on the back
Nothing like having a video on a specific coin and not having said coin in the video.
i know w.t.f.?????
😀
Even with me able to have collected these I always miss the valuable extra in them. From having about like 40-D and 10-P 1982 both versions pennies (1981 and 1983 about the same) I never got the valuable ones people found. Same thing ordering from the U.S. Mint in 2004 I never got the Minnesota or Wisconson quarter variations worth the money in my uncirculated P and D sheets but, for the first time, the Sacajawea dollar was not minted for currency but for uncirculated sets in them (low mintage numbers).
I dug one of the cereal brand metal detecting how do I find out what it's worth
I appreciate you taking the time to teach others the details of the coins. Not everybody already knows everything and some people are still open to learn new things. So thank you. Seriously, no good deed goes without punishment my friend. Pay them no mind. They are only here to poison the water.
i know im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account?
I was stupid lost my login password. I love any tips you can offer me
So I have a Liberty 2000-P coin that I got back in change one time. It's not in brand new condition, but it still looks very nice. I've seen some being listed at high prices, and I was wondering how much I could sell it for. I was also wondering if it could be a fake, although who would make a fake special coin just to pay for something with?
Whats with the date on the side?
These are good but we need a $5 coin, more useful like the 500 yen coin in Japan, lots of places had 500 yen lunches. One coin, one lunch.
A $5 coin would be so incredible.
Tax is the reason that wouldn't work as far a $5 lunches with one coin.
There's the $5 gold piece. 😃
,no date what is it worth
Great, thank you.
I live in San Diego and actually found and have 2 Sacagawea coin dollars. One of these are the exact coins you display here the 2000 P Sacagawea with detailed feathers on the reverse side. What are my best options for selling at best market value and do you have suggestions where I should sell?

Love this channel,thank you👍🇵🇦.
Just some advice if you keep touching those Sacagawea dollars with your bear hands the acid from your skin will cause them to turn colors which will ruin any chance of getting one that will grade very well . This is why several people dont like them , that and they have no precious metal in them .
Mine looks like the Cheerios version 2000 P. About what is it's worth. How do I find out?

How can I sell my 2000 Sacagewea Cheerios Dollar Coin and get the correct value?

I must have missed the part where he showed a "Cheerios" coin or explained how it differed from the others.
@blast sucarta thanks now I don't have to listen anyone.
Cheerios version has scalloped tail feathers rather than straight ones .. apparently.
I was going to be less concise or whine about technique.. then remembered no two people are alike
Have one still in a holder ,never been out of, won @ A Bingo game in 2000. Cha ,ching 😊😉

I kinda loose trust in any "coin expert" who stacks his coins on top of each other. Can you say damage = less value?
Lose
These coins aren't rare or particular valuable (a dollar is a dollar) so it's not like it matters in this case.
Ryan Carter. These are actually very valuable. He might be an not be a “coin expert” but those coins are worth a lot. Lower grade coins are worth about $500-1k. Medium grades are about 4500-5000, and high is worth 6000-7500. They can be worth a bunch, but it is rare
German Hunter one dollar
Clarice Numismatic. No, not the cheerio. They are valuable
Interesting my little sister had been collecting coins for a toy she ended up finding a gold coin 2000 and I searched it up and was extremely surprised and shocked I let my sister keep it of course. Thanks for the vid it was very informative :)
Iv got a 2000p and a 2001d if anyone is interested
In New England we NEVER get brand new quarters. I would love to find a 2019 W quarter, but a year on and I haven't seen a 2019 quarter yet. I've seen a 2020 penny though. We get new pennies and dimes usually.

Hi, how much u think a dollar coin like your video, without a year and lettering on the edge will go for in this present time?
Thank You Very Much

I had this coin. I didn’t know it was worth this much. I have now lost the coin. I’m going to cry now
Most of the coin dealers are saying that there is no real value in these coins, and they are just worth a dollar.
First mins on this video was just back ground noise while I heated up some leftover pizza. Too much talking can sometimes be useful lol
Good day all
I have the following coins:
1990 (one dime) and 1988 (five).All USA
Your title is misleading. I expected to see a Cheerios dollar
How do you clean this coin? Are they all worth that much?I have a 2000 P How to tell if you have a Cheerios one?
Hi! I have a coin collection I forgot about till cleaning my house. I’ll keep them in storage, but have two questions:
1) What is the best way to store them? (Safe deposit box is where they’ll need to stay, but I want to keep them individually stored, i.e: I ordered cardboard slips with a slim plastic cover for coin storage from Amazon, but want to be see what you recommend is best….and when recommending, please also send the link where I can buy them).
2) How can I get the coins appraised without sending them off or having someone take them to appraise them? Want to ensure I see the process so no coins disappear.
I have 300+ coins which are a mix as follows:
-Wheat pennies from 1900-1950’s (most from 1940-1950)
-Regular pennies post 1950’s (including a different looking 1963 penny that’s incredibly shiny, almost mirror-like with no mint mark)
-Susan B. Anthony dollars
-2000 Sacagawea dollar with P mint mark (looks like the cheerios one in your video when comparing with the eagle tail feather details)
-Silver dollars and half dollars
-Quarters from 1964 and earlier (some are tarnished)
You must love the sound of your own voice... 30 seconds of information in a 10 minute video
Hahahahahah 🤣🤣
It's his show he should be permitted to speak as he sees fit!!#
so if I'm building a house and I f*** it up is it worth more money now
Brian you are an idiot
Brian Cash I like the way u think
if one of those is off center on the back, does that make it worth more? not way off center like your other video, but still off center
so if i have three in decent to good shape, you're saying they're worth $15-$18k?
So Wich one worth 5000 can someone tell me in comments I try watching whole video but dude talking to much gave me headech.
Lui Mason want to no my seat. Can someone just say the years and what to look. I need that money to help me pay bill

What about 2001D how much????
Yes, I enjoyed the video
I have a 2000P Sacagawea coin that has eagle on the back. It also has a rare triple print drag of one of the star's point looking like a "www" in a straight line above the star. Have you ever seen this error before?
When purchasing a train ticket from the Metro North RR ticket vending machines, these dollars are given in change.
MBTA gives these outs as change
I have a coin just like this but don’t know if it’s worth anything 🤷🏼♀️
It’s worth $1
I have 2- D mint Sacagwea coins and have 3-P mint coins , I only have one that looks dull but I think they are too shiny than the one he showed .. mine were all bought in Fla at Olds Cadillac Dealers back in 2000's they sent you an Ad with key and you went out tosee if your key worked to start car, so when it didn't you had a choice of gold dollar or golf umbrella or something. It was fun to just go see the cars even if you weren't looking for car, I don;t believe anyone ever got a key that worked. we did it for something to do !!
Video full of info. But I need to to know where to take to get honest opinion of what I have for value. How do I find the errors, if any, on these coins. So the 2000 P are valuable, do the others have any value? Do you appraise coins online or in person? any info would be great. I have more than just 1 or 2 of these coins. Thanks for video
I have a gold S B A dollar that's from a box of cheerios, still in the plastic!!
You sound like one of those info commerical that are all talk and never say anything
a lot of giberish and said nothing important click bait
Its at the 7 minute mark...
I have one of these and didn’t know it was rare so ig I’m keeping it till someone buys it
God all these commenters bitching about how long this video is can shove it. I know someone with a 2000 P and this has so much valuable info and history of the coin that is perfect when trying to research 👍💯❤️
Ugh once i has $3000 worth of these... just a way of saving then i let my sis borrow $$ and she took them all to the bank

I personally have 5, unrelated Rolls 2000P., since it came out.
I have three - 2000p Sacagawea gold coins and one coin that appears to be gold w/pic on 1side w/U S capitol engraved & the other side is just writing and it appears clearer on this side it is a gold coin also....is this good or just a "coin"???? can't locate anything to compare it to that's why I'm asking.
I have 4 so far. Plan to get more. But I have one that doesn't have a date on it. But it has stars around the side ? I'm very curious
i have a roll of 2000 p from the mint how can i get them certifide i havnt opened the roll
I’ve gotta check out some of the other videos
some of "HIS" other videos??? Should u not reply, I'll know why and R.I.P. ...
I have 3 of those but they don’t have the year and the P on them. And also at the back of it it’s different, doesn’t have the Eagle. Is it worth anything?
The sacagewea coin was replaced by the native American coin series in 2009. The face looks mostly the same, but the reverse has a new design each year. Your coin is one of those. The mint doesn't release those coins for general circulation, but they can be bought directly from the mint. Most of those are worth $3-8, as long as it still looks uncirculated. Otherwise, it's only worth face value ($1). A good find though!
Good explanation !!!
