- We finally got Dan Buchner's 422 ci stroker on the dyno. It is the engine a few videos back and has most of the build info there. It has 10.25 compression and timing worked best at 37⁰ with 94 pump gas.

Terry if you have time check out this short reel from my 318. i've had this strange noise almost like a rod knock but it doesn't do it at idle. Only when you feather the throttle around 2500 and up. So strange. its been like this since 2016 and I've chased the noise around ever since then. Motor was rebuilt in 2016 318 .060 over, aluminum heads, comp cam extreme energy 268, keith black flat top pistons. ' pulled plug wires 1 at a time to see if it might be rod knock but the noise stays there. New timing chain too with tensioner. I'm stumped. How is this a stroker, if it's only bored 060 over?? Now if a 360 was cut to a small main and put it in a 318/340 block, then you have a stroker...
422 cubic inch.
340 bored .060 and a 4 inch Scat crank.
@@brightonracing scat!! Chinese junk... I've had my experiences with then..
90% of people cannot afford a Callies crank at over 4 grand. Even Molnar is made in China. I have not had any problems with Scat. I had 1 bad Eagle crank about 15 years ago and that was it, but they were supposed to have had a bad batch and have fixed that problem. Not sure where K1 is made, but I have had 1 on order since November.
Same with heads. Trick Flow is made here, Speed Master is cast in China and machined in California. But no TF available till April/May so we have to accept what is out there.
