I probably won't be buying LEGO Dimensions since I mostly play on PC, but I can definitely see myself buying this pack just for the figure. Hopefully, between this and the rendered LEGO GLaDOS seen in the trailer, this means we'll be seeing more Portal sets in the future.

They messed up the back of the turret, but that's simple to fix. Either way, I love this set. I hope they come out with a full series on portal. Glados and the bots would be really cool to have in Lego form.
Turret is disgustingly inaccurate, Weighted Storage Cube is okay-ish, but that Chell figure is just superb. I'll buy this eventually, but only for Chell.
The turret is a delight to see. Such a iconic part of portal. That concedes almost nothing being brick built. I'll admit the $30 is a little hard to swallow for the handful of parts. But you do get a lot of content in the game from this set. The portal level. The six different builds, and the portal hub world. Once you go and get lego dimensions for your console. You got to have them all.
Great little display set as well! Sadly the price tag (30$) is too high if you don't have the game itself, but I can see how this is a highly collectible set

3:09 about the toy tags: I've been upgrading some of the gadgets in game but I wonder if it's possible to assign all the tags and upgrades to one single base. If so, that might be difficult to choose the model needed in game, but it would have a good record of your progress. :)

This was a great set, the level was a bit easy for a Portal game but still pretty fun, and Chell is probably my 2nd favorite LD character (First probably being Cyberman) but there are just a few things I absolutely HATE about this: 1. The adventure world. The Portal 2 adventure world is by far the hardest part of Lego Dimensions. The whole thing is EXTREMELY tightly compressed, the gold brick activities are confusing, it's SO easy to get lost, its SO annoying to remember where the activities are, and everything is just SO difficult. I get that it's supposed to be like the Portal games and act like a puzzle, but this puzzle is amped up times a thousand. Also my game froze in the adventure world once. 2. The Portal gun material. I know you said this in the video, but I have something to add. Apart from it being very difficult to fit into the minifig hand, the 3 prongs at the front are NOT a good thing when in rubber. They will always be angled off to the side and not be straight. You can carefully bend them back into position, but overnight they will move back out of alignment due to them being made out of rubber. 3. The Sentry Turret 3rd build. Oh my god. This build is downright by far, the WORST Lego model I own. I'm not gonna say the worst SET because Chell, the cube and the other turret builds are very good. The 3rd build is just the WORST. It was literally thrown together, it barely resembles a turret at all, it makes no practical sense at all, and I can tell that little or no effort was put into making it. In game it's even worse. It moves extremely slow, and it flies up and down which is kinda useful, but I already have the flying Delorean and When would a turret FLY? Lego just should have done a complete design redo, maybe something like a spring bouncing turret or a conversion gel sprayer (Now THAT would be useful) the first time I built it, I immediately took it apart and will never rebuild it into it again (Or change to it in-game)
This confirms that lego has the license to create Valve game themes. And if they did Portal, why not do some sets for the game series that takes place in the same universe? I cannot imagine how many fans this would please.
So Chell unlocks the level? I thought for sure it'd be the companion cube, and all the characters would use their gadgets as an entry to the level. That's the only reason the platform had made sense to me... But now seeing that it holds spare pieces, I understand it again. It also makes the gadgets more valuable, as they do something in the game now.
I can see them making a new pack with P-Body and Atlas to add new puzzles that needs 4 portals if this pack was well received. Also, can you fit seven toy tags onto the main base and have all seven tags be recognized by the game and have all of them summoned into the game at the same time?
It's a shame that one of the transparent blue shield pieces wasn't done in transparent orange, they could have represented the portals themselves if they had done that.
From 4:49 to 5:00 is what I am. I'm a Lego fan and a portal fan and when I would this I knew I wanted it but I don't have Lego dimension and don't intend on getting it. I just really want the builds and the figure
Kinda thought it was funny, going from being pretty cynical and upset about the price point (in this vid) to absolutely LOVING the Dr. Who level pack (in it's sep vid)! It is crazy how expensive this 1 game is considering all the packs needed to be complete, but it's super fun if it's within reach for you. I mean, who doesn't love Lego? They've really stepped up their 'game' lately ;)
Hi Jang. Love your work. In what video did you show how you use Duplo as a filler for your custom Minecraft section. I went through all your videos with reference to custom MC (scrolling through admittedly) and could not find that short section
You keep saying "ingame credits", in every Lego game, they are called "Lego studs" and are basically those 1x1 round pieces (like the single red "eye" in the middle of the turret), in the colours of grey, blue, gold and purple, I guess.
It's to make it clearer to people that never played a lego game before that they are an in-game currency and not something you need to pay real money for.

I think that port Portal 2 in Lego is the worst idea, my reason is because Portal 2 is not for kids, is for adults, Portal is basically Half-Life, but i had to admit that Lego did great job with Chell, Wheatley, the gun and turrets, ect, they do it great and i recommend this but NOT for children, sorry but is my thoughts and my opinion
Everything I've seen of the game piques little interest. I absolutely ADORE all these little sets though. It's VERY disappointing that the game is required to view the instructions.

I really like these, but anyone who's played the game should the turrets are way too big.
It's hard to cram detail into a small space so an easier solution is to just make it bigger.
