    For those wondering about wheel deck and the CSL DD, the GT1 Evo comes with 16mm M6 bolts which are a suitable length to go through the pedal deck plate and into the CSL DD t-nuts without bottoming out in the rail slot. I'm using 3 bolts currently, but it's easy to drill a 4th hole if required. drive.google.com/file/d/10FfbG6m9ulORsDokcU7Mcz2MlACRqDtK/view?usp=sharing

    Hey ham just come across this and thanks very much mate for sharing this am in the uk too i currently have the playseat evo rig and not too keen on it to be fair had it year and a bit now feels cheap feeling to me and dont like the centre column bit in the middle find it awkward when racing its a pain to get in and out of also feels like the pedal plate even screwed down will snap off at any mo, so soon thinking of getting this sim labs evo for my self looks very useful and cool to have looks simple enough to build not harsh on budget wise much better quality than the playseat too was thinking of getting the seat slider from sim labs and for now transfer the playseat seat over to that liked how you went into detail on what parts you used for it so i know what to get plus i too have the 8nm pack with the formula v2 rim just the standard pedals for now to and the advanced paddle module am not an expert on settings so liked how you explained the ffb very well as before ive tried it at that setting you shown with around 60% in game with the affects on too such as rumble strips etc on xbox series x btw and christ it nearly broke my bloody arms off its so powerful so found taking them out the affects and using just the ffb in game especially for f2021 it makes a difference for me turning it down might just be me as am a skinny short ass 😅 so not strong enough for them forces but will try that what you mentioned great video mate ticked the boxes for me also love the cable management for it how you can stuff them in the profiles 😍👌

      Hey Dan thanks for taking the time leave such a detailed comment. I've been very happy with the Sim Labs GT1 Evo. I think it offers a nice balance between size and strength and is a reasonable price. I think as long as you go with a profile rig it's hard to go wrong as they are easy to upgrade with extra parts.

      @@HamVR Thats why am drawn to it mate look so versatile for upgrades later on down the line ive looked at the psr 1 as one by race anywhere that looks good too but expensive looked at the trak racer 80 but not keen on that as its gotten not good reviews for it and the gt1 pro what ever its called but thats way expensive 900quid just for the frame is ridiculous so think the evo ticks the boxes for me, Also mate am assuming your in the uk so how was the shipping for it and did brexit charges come into play ? like we had to do for the dd base i had to anyway to import it

    For the bite point, the intended way to use it is you hold both down and release the right clutch, you spin the funky switch to set what lurch value you have and release both. Then to launch you hold them both down, rev up and release the right clutch and slowly release the left as it catches.

      Both methods are valid according to the user guide. The method I showed was the 'simplified' method. Admittedly I release the clutch paddle too fast LOL. The 'advanced' method is as you describe. You can also save the different bite points, per profile that way too.

    Will the CSL DD fit on the old CSW desk clamp?

    • @HamVR
      @HamVR  3 роки тому

      According to the Fanatec website, yes the CSL DD will fit CSW clamp and it looks like a more sturdy solution. See comparability fanatec.com/eu-en/cockpits-mounting/clubsport-table-clamp-v2

    Hey man, are you still happy with the Sparco R100 seat after using it for a while? Does it have any flex at all on this rig, for example when you do heavy braking? I'm looking at the exact same rig + seat setup. I like what you did with the inverted brackets, but does this mean you can't use a seatslider?

    • @HamVR
      @HamVR  3 роки тому

      Hey yeah, I've been really happy with the R100 so far. There's about as much flex as you would expect from a real car seat, so not that much at all (probably few mm if you put a lot pressure on it) and I expect it's much better than a regular reclining gaming chair. If you want zero flex, for very heavy pedals I'd go for a none reclining rigid seat. For me personally I'd rather have a little flex and the reclining option for comfort.

    Put some washers on this corner brackets, they only cost 5 bucks

    • @HamVR
      @HamVR  3 роки тому

      Yeah I have a bag of M8 washers already. I've put some on parts that needed to be extra tight. The corner brackets seem pretty snug around the M8 bolts, so extra washers would probably be overkill. Next time I do some adjustments, I might put some on as I've got spare.
