    managed to maintain 45mpg+ on multiple highway jaunts in my 6mt a spec!
    pair that with the great chassis, manual , els, etc, and this integra is a great daily for me
    the kicker is that i got this for less than that what honda dealers in my area were charging for Civic Si

    The revs were higher at 72 than I was expecting. 🤔

      It’s a 1.5L Honda motor. I own this car (exact spec in the video!) and it’s not loud at all.

      Its only a small 4 cylinder. Had it been a 6, rpms will be much lower due to low end torque. If they made top gear at 70mph 2000 rpm instead of 2900, the engine will bog down.

    I have a 2023 with the CVT. I'm averaging 37 MPG in mixed driving. It's lots of fun to drive with terrific handling. I have a few complaints. It comes with no spare tire, the suspension is on the firm side even in the comfort setting, and the interior road noise is high in my opinion.

      I know, who needs corollas and civics that barely have enough power, uses the smallest engine possible, and averages the same mpg. You can have your cake and eat it too with the integra

      @@wl6020I’d say this Integra uses the smallest possible engine at 1.5L, but the engineering Honda & Acura have done has managed to squeeze over 200hp out of that tiny thing. I’m impressed

      @@lexisnep525 its most likely upgraded internals so redline is much higher, higher compression ratio, and must use premium gas, thats how it got up to 200 hp but still a small engine so it sips gas.

    Rpms still at like 2900 at 72 mph. Still kinda high but still better than the 94+ integra gsr thats like 3000 rpm at 60. Probably the 1.5 turbo is still a tiny engine, so lacks toqrue at low rpms.
    Very impressive at 43 mpg, thats corolla/civic territory but much more hp and fun.

      That's quite normal for an engine of this size. Sure they could change the ratio, but that would mean worse acceleration.

    You get the 2023 tester when there are already 2024s on the lot. I'm a normal person, who likes a little extra oomph and style. We recently bought one with the CVT. I drive mostly iny urban neighborhood with maybe a highway drive out to the burbs 3-4 times a month, so having a manual wouldn't make sense. I would never get above 4th gear plus parallel parking is easier with an automatic.

    • @lexisnep525
      @lexisnep525 Рік тому +4

      No need to justify the automatic, friend. It’s a great car and Acura makes a very good automatic. You also get remote start and low speed follow, two things those of us with manuals can’t have.

    does your range of gas say 392 or 292?

    • @Plague_Rat778
      @Plague_Rat778 19 днів тому

      Based on him saying it can go about 520 miles on a single tank of gas, probably 392
      Correction: at 7:10 it says range: 331 miles.

    Tiny cylinder bores pushing a lot of PSI, hopefully these engines are over engineered to get that Honda reliability.

    If you want this for the manual just get an SI. There’s not over $10k in upgrades to warrant the price over a Civic.

    • @lexisnep525
      @lexisnep525 Рік тому +14

      I’ve had both cars and I gotta disagree. The NVH in the Si is much worse. The sound system is a massive upgrade, and the list of tiny features is a page long. Advanced TPMS system, heated seats, heads up display, fog lights, leather, dual zone climate, adaptive damper system, wireless phone charger, rear seat USB ports, welcome lighting, ambient interior lighting, the massive hatchback area, full digital cluster, 12-way power seats with memory and power lumbar, wi-fi hot spot, sonar parking sensors front and rear, longer warranty (5 years instead of 3), 2 years free maintenance, 5 years of roadside assistance, and you get a better dealership experience too
      Plus all the Si’s are being marked up to 36k. So

    • @williamconrad1087

      Also there is no auto dimming mirror in the SI.

      This does not require premium you guys realize that, correct?
      You can use 87 octane when doing daily drives around city and maybe bit of highway. 91 is only really necessary if you plan on going on trips.

      33%? Where I am premium is at most 25% more, and even then, that's rare.
