@super3boy yeah, I know, I normally do it manually also. hay, sean as you use blender witch is open scource, why don't you use GIMP?

I would just(like I always did) flip in horizontal and done, it would fit all perfectly.

Will you be making a Blender tut for the latest version? I can't find one anywhere, and a search of Blender tuts brings you here, not sure why.... thx

This works but it's not the best method. I assume Photoshop has a 50% offset function like Gimp? Do that and then get rid of the seams with manual patches rather than the healing brush. I also wouldn't scale down until the last minute so as to best hide your work and be working with the highest quality
I get what you said about not being able to switch to Gimp. I'm the same but opposite. I had to do some work in photoshop a while ago and was very confused by the interface, its quite different

@supermortalhuman I'll try this method, and if I like it I'll record another tutorial. Thanks for your input.

@waj171 I second what Tommadness3994 said. Open source software is awesome, I just grew up on Photoshop so I'm used to it.

Know the death hole in the movie 300?. Super3 has one outside his door so he doesn't get interrupted when making tutorials. This is why we heard people screaming.

@waj171 The make seamless filter gives lousy results. You're so much better off doing it manually.

    this is all wrong.
    1: see offset filter.
2: offset top cloned layer, erase seams and reveal non seam tex under it.
Simple. This is far too complicated and time consuming in this tutorial.
