Made it look easy Eric I’m not much of a bike mechanic mainly because I haven’t had too much of a go and always worried I may break something but you’ve inspired me I should try more. Also looking to get a set of deep wheels I’ve looked at these and the elite wheels still unsure but either way I’ll have to got through the same procedures. Cheers for the vid
tbh just give it a try cuz it's not that hard at all! If you can follow instructions you can work on your bike, UA-cam has videos of EVERYTHING! I'm a certified UA-cam Mechanic!!
Great video! Way quicker and easier than expected. What brand of bike tools are you using? Need to pull both the cassette and disc brakes, so needing the "chain whip" and the special socket for the discs. Still happy with the D67's?! Ready to buy a set! Thanks for any info and the helpful content!
Nothing special, most of my tools off Amazon or Home Depot! You can grab that chain whip and cassette/center lock ring wrench off Amazon for cheap, doesn’t need to be a fancy one! The lever I used to get the tire on is a Tru Tension Tire Monkey. Ya I am still LOVING my Hyper 67s. Just took them down to Niagara Falls this past weekend!
@@DontGetDroppedCycling thanks man! I'll grab a few goodies off of Amazon this week in prep for the wheels arriving (hopefully next week!). Excited to get these mounted up. Stay fast! 😎
@@DontGetDroppedCycling Done deal, hopefully this weekend (UPS says they're in the US and on the way!). Forgot to ask - what brand tubes are you running? Never run any of the TPU alternatives to the old school rubber. And 80mm on the stem length? Thanks for all of the info!
Hey Erik don't use the electric pump on the tubes when they aren't in a tire it's max 5-8 PSI as they can deform rather easily without a casing (tire). PS They look sick with the Bike do you think you'll end up routing internally if it's even possible?
Not putting anymore air then I would have with a floor pump, just need to give it some structure to put into the tire. Don’t look at where I rest my bike into the repair stand 🫣🤪 I will put the brake cables internally in the bars when I put the DA callipers on. I’ll loose the two shift cables once I get Di2!
Hahaha the real reason I had to drop the audio was because my dumbass couldn’t add on the fly 🤪 originally I said 1460 and when I was editing I was like… oh you idiot 🤦🏻♂️
@@DontGetDroppedCycling I figured it was something along the lines of that - I hate it when I go back to edit and realize I'd misspoken in the moment & was glad to see I'm not the only one. How'd the big boy ride with the wheels go?
Centerlocks came with my rotors and yes not included with the wheels. Extra spokes not included in box but can be obtained from Winspace/Lun as needed. I believe they are trying to save the environment a bit by not giving them out unless they are requested and needed on a case by case basis.

@@DontGetDroppedCycling That's weird coz they sounded loud in your video, maybe it's because you're going so fast now all you can here is the wind rushing past your ears!
@@MarkyMarkZwifts being beside the mic helped but they are pretty quiet outside. Riding with the club some hubs are like 10x louder!! These are almost stealth like outside, even my Bontragers are louder 🤷🏻♂️
Oh damn 110!! My tire was seated way earlier (you can kinda hear it) and I never went past 80psi myself. Went on a 200mile/322km ride on the weekend and no problems at all 👌🏽
The ones I'm running now are Rockbros but I've used Ride Now and Aerothan before and they are all basically the same. No problems with any TPU so far and I love how little space they take up in my ride carry kit!
So impressed with the bike maintenance skills, Erik. I would have to get the local bike shop to sort it for me 😂 love the wheels. 30 secs saving every 10 miles? 🤔 first time in my life with deep rims and first few rides, really struggled in cross winds but getting used to it now 😅

@@Trusty-Rusty I’ve been running the Rockbros tubes off Amazon in these wheels. 80-85mm should work!
Dope! Looks really good on the Rere. Will be getting the R67 by Christmas for sure. I also have that Purple Rere but on rim brakes. 😃
It’s gonna be badass!!!! Purple Rere GANG GANG!!!! 🤙🏽
Did you get dinged by customs for this order? Interested in getting new wheels!
I got them via Forza Performance in Toronto so no customs for me!

wow nice setup ! sweet sound
🔥exciting! However per park tool, you shouldn’t grease the center lock brake calipers. Hope they don’t get contaminated for ya🤞

I have just bought 1 also. Finished setting it up with tubes. Found out when i press the rear rim, its a bit soft. Is it the same as yours? Thanks
No problems for me. What psi did you pump up to? I run the wheels at about 80.
Around 110 to seat the tire and reduce to 90. Just notice when i put the wheel back on to the frame. Front wheel is ok though
