    This is the full ride to Willingham Woods (Lincolnshire I believe). Some of you may remember the section of road known as Caistor Tops that I posted not long after this ride in mid June last year.
    This was where towards the end it went all wrong, I was a second or two from having a very bad time, I got very lucky and learned a valuable lesson that day.
    Although I could have been riding faster in sections and was taking it kind of easy, I still should not have been riding roads I'd never been on before quite like I was in parts. Learn from your mistakes, or better yet, from others! 😎
    Thanks for watching 😊

      Was slightly in shock I think, all happened so quick I wasn't scared 😂
      Was May last year, only had the 9r a couple of months and never used those roads before.

    man I'm glad there was nothing in your course at that crossroads, scary stuff. It happens right, especially when you're new to a bike, an area, or both, you can miss signposts etc, there were two signs saying give way in 180 yards there.

      Yea mate, was pretty new to my bike still back then, may last year, and as said in the video, the roads were new to me too. I was going too fast around that bend to notice them in time, took my brain a couple of seconds to realise, so I couldn't stop at all, no ABS either so could slam the brakes on too hard. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍

    Nice, sensible ride (most of the time :-). How did you do this animation of flowing blue thing through the top of your visor? All the best and safe roads.

      Had to take it easy on this one as had my friends 17y/o boy on his 125 with us, was still a fun ride. Not sure what you mean with the animation through my visor bud, probably just my bike reflecting.

      @@HalfdeadRider I am swapping my CB1300 for ZX9R next weekend. That's why I watched your video. Longer I think about it less sure I am it's a good idea.
      "Blue Thing" I mentioned was flowing aroung your windscreen and then ending masking speedo (at 13:28). Not visor, sorry. Nice accent. I was wondering how you have done it.
      It also seems like you removed metal cage supporting windscreen. I don't like it and though about getting rid of it when I get the bike.
      Quality riding. I enjoyed watching it.

      @@MariuszZaleski13 My mistake too mate, for some reason I thought this was on my most recent video, no 125's in this one lol
      And yea, that blue neon was done in the fusion page of Davinci Resolve, awesome for the free version.
      I'd definitely say you'd love the ZX9r, underrated beasts, ignore the bhp and Nm numbers, still a beast stock that still hang with modern bikes no problem.
      Easy to tune some extra power out of without computers and lots of money, you might be surprised how quick they pick up speed, then warp speed kicks in at 6-7k rpm, it's nuts, in a good way.
      I did remove the H=frame, the whole front end needs to come off, comes off all in one, headlights still attached with the front fairing and screen.
      You can buy a replacement instrument panel bracket for the F1 and F2 models ('02-'03) on ebay (only fits the E1 + E2 '00-'01)
      I did paint mine as it arrived slightly scuffed and you need to grind the two top holes slightly larger to make it fit, only about 1-2mm, easy done and looks more modern. I've done loads since.

      @@HalfdeadRider Thanks for tips with Davinci Resolve. I have noticed also that you may be rendering video in different fps than it was recorded. It usually manifests itself with jerky picture (look at trees close to the edge of the screen when riding slow). It may be something else also but most likely it's fps differences.
      Another thing you mentioned is fully syntethic engine oil. Heard it can cause clutch slipping in bikes. Never tried it myself though, so can't confirm. I always used semi. All the best and wide roads. This ninja needs it :-)

    • @HalfdeadRider
      @HalfdeadRider  Рік тому

      No worries! I do render in 59.94fps, the same the GoPro films in, I'll look out for the issue, but honestly never noticed.
      It could have something to do with YT's compression, as they do tent to automatically focus on what their compression software determines to be the main part of the video.
      It apparently removes quality in less focused areas of the video, how I don't know. But I do also compress it to a more manageable size that YT recommends so I loose less quality.
      As for fully synthetic, it doesn't cause clutch slipping, although I've heard people say that online too. I believe that they either need an oil treatment to clean their engine out, or check the thickness of their clutch plates.
      The reason fully synthetic is better is because the oils molecules stay the same shape/thickness when the engine is up to operating temperature, giving better lubrication. Hence slipping being an issue on warn clutches I guess, mine is 22 years old as far as I'm aware, done 22k miles. My engine runs a few degrees cooler than it did on semi synthetic too.

    OMG made me jump that 😱 I've overshot a few times, we all need a bit of luck bike riding. I thought is was funny you got sent to the back afterwards 😂

      Got you again! 😂😂 you did see the Caistor Tops part last year, I remember you also noticing my little neon edit. I think Baz passed me as I'd left the space as I was talking, and I don't tend to ride as close to others as some do anyway. He may have just wanted to be in the video 😂😎👍

      @@HalfdeadRider My memory is very hazy, perhaps I thought you went through the cross roads a 2nd time. I did see from the text near the start that the footage was from 2021, but I thought it was unseen newly recovered found footage, so I was hoping for something like Blair Witch 🤔
      I understand with being sent to the back, you have to tell yourself what ever gets you through the shame. 🤣👍

    • @HalfdeadRider
      @HalfdeadRider  2 роки тому +1

      @@BeansOnToast_YT Yea I just never got around to editing the full ride, I have quite a lot of footage left over from last year, and earlier this year. Not been out much recently, in part due to the high temps.

      @@HalfdeadRider Well I do remember noticing the animation you did, I think it only appeared once to my knowledge.
      Yes I understand the problems with the heat, I must say the gear has got a lot better in the way they manage to get vents into almost everything we wear so that does help.

    • @HalfdeadRider
      @HalfdeadRider  2 роки тому

      @@BeansOnToast_YT Yea I only used the animation the once.
      I really think I need some perforated leathers, they must be better than cheap chunky textiles, although they are great to have for winter.

    Wow, brown pants time. Lucky mate very lucky. Nearly done it when on new road, junction was around corner. But good video and bike sounds great. I need the blurry tool thing too. lol

    • @HalfdeadRider
      @HalfdeadRider  2 роки тому +1

      I was a little shocked, but no time to soil myself luckily lol, took my brain a couple of seconds to process that this was a junction, to late by then.
      I use Fusion and tracking in the colour page in Davinci Resolve, the free version. It's the best editing software out there, the paid version is worth getting if you can, for hardware acceleration and the extra features. But it is still top quality editing software with more than enough features in the free version, been using it years now, you do need quite a good PC for it though.

    Nice video, But you need to work on your gear changing, let off the throttle especially at speed .

      This was June last year, was still kind of getting used to the bike as only had it a few months at that point, plus the throttle needed adjusting, all sorted now lol 👍
