Too many people conflate absolute racism with simple prejudice. Racism is belief in a distinct inferiority of one race to another. Prejudice is an adverse bias in the absence of knowledge, like assuming a black dude with saggy pants and a sports jersey is a gangbanger with a .40 in his waistband. All racists have prejudice, but not all that prejudge are necessarily racist.

It's actually been proven with double blind tests that everyone is inherently racist on some level, but it's how you act on those impulses that defines who you are. From a purely GENETIC standpoint, the whole societal concept of "race" falls completely apart, so I can only assume you're not quite up to date on your science. Furthermore, since when has scientific understanding been the main driving force between what the emotional masses think, perceive, do, etc.? If someone has features that people predominately associate as black, and said individual is treated as if he or she is black, then their actual racial makeup becomes in a way irrelevant.
