- The α6600 offers internal 4K movie recording with high image quality in the Super 35mm format, which cinema camera users are familiar with.
Full pixel readout without pixel binning allows approximately 2.4 times* (6K equivalent) as much information as is required in the pixel count for 4K (QFHD: 3840 x 2160) movies to be collected, condensed and output as a 4K movie. This oversampling effect achieves high 4K movie image quality of unparalleled resolution.
A HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma)** picture profile that supports an instant HDR workflow is provided. Recorded movies played back on an HDR (HLG)** compatible TV will appear true-to-life, with no blocked shadows or blown highlights, without the need for colour grading. The BT.2020 colour space is supported, providing a wider colour gamut. Four gamma settings are provided (HLG, HLG1, HLG2, HLG3). The HLG setting conforms to ITU-R BT.2100. The HLG1, HLG2, and HLG3 gamma settings provide wider dynamic range while retaining the overall appearance of previous cameras.

** Connect this product to an HDR (HLG) compatible Sony TV via a USB cable when displaying HDR (HLG) movies.

@@bobjordan5597 They use a tiny sensor that results in awful quality footage. The highest quality iPhone video is only 15% of the data rate of something like an FS7, which is what people are asking for here. They're very different.

Yeah, I see real videographers with Arri use it(NOT) cause it isn't supported. And it costs 68k.
Hùng Trường I really hope the a6100 and a6600 are the last models to use this dusty, old camera chassis. It desperately needs a bigger, better LCD with a full functioning touch UI. And a bigger, better EVF. And the joystick and real wheel/D-pad from the 4th gen a7 cameras. (And a front scroll wheel.) It should stay small and keep its rangefinder style, but this chassis needs to go.
Why would SOny come with this feature when anyway they sell all their camera the way they are ?

it's funny because the footage looks great like this, straight out of the camera. The problem is that there is absolutely nothing you can do with it in post, it's extremely inflexible.
That's not true. In Resolvr you can edit HDR just fine. You just gotta go in a deep dive.

@@ES-qy2ju No, BT.2100 HLG is 10-bit, not 8-bit. Hybrid log gamma refers to using a traditional gamma curve for the lower end and a logarithmic curve for the upper half, which accounts for its extended dynamic range.
We don’t care about this.. give us the a7siii with 12 bit and 4k60 mov codec
Agreed. Go 12-bit or go home, Sony. We don't want 10-bit in a flagship.

Están usando trucos sucios, la mayoría de las imágenes a f5, f8, f10 donde hasta un canon 18-55mm da calidad y solo en condiciones donde es difícil apreciar detalle pues usan f2.8, así que prácticamente podría ser un le te con la misma calidad del 16-50mm
No 4K60p, no 10bit, fake HDR and 1080p probably still looks poor and when you use manual prime lenses Sony AF doesn't mean too much to you.
I wouldn't call it a flagship camera in 2019/2020.
