I was honored to proclaim Dec. 7th, 2013 on behalf of the City of Petaluma as "Donald Hanahan Day". Check out the video in the 23:38 range when I do the proclamation.
Information about Donald Hanahan:
Donald Hanahan, Manhattan Project: Mr. Hanahan, age 94, was part of the project team that isolated pure plutonium used in the construction of the Atom Bomb, being one of the elite group of scientists involved in the Manhattan project. Hanahan went on to teach Biochemistry at various universities after the war.
