Thank you for a look ahead. The Curtiss P-40B Warhawk USAAF Fighter certainly has its place in history, so it is befitting to have a detailed, quality kit represent those who flew the actual warbird.
You mention the P-40N, wondering as to its likelihood of seeing a kit of one. If I recall correctly, this was the variant that the War Department belatedly had augmented with a turbo-supercharger, enabling it to ascend beyond 6,000 metres (20,000 ft) in altitude to engage the enemy on an even footing (the same injustice that had befallen the Bell P-39 Airacobra USAAF Fighter).
I just saw from ModelFun channel this reference: “P-40 N Warhawk 1:32 FULL BUILD Burma Banshee Trumpeter 02212”. By now, you likely have seen this kit, as well as the Great Wall Hobbies 1:32nd-scale replica of the Curtiss P-40B Warhawk USAAF Fighter, famous as the aircraft of the “Flying Tigers” (the 1st American Volunteer Group [AVG] of the Republic of China Air Force) of Gen. Claire L. Chennault, Col. Robert L. Scott (who documented his experiences in God Is My Co-pilot [New York: Charles Scribner’s Sons, Publisher, 1943; Gen. Chennault wrote the foreword]), Major Gregory “Pappy” Boyington, later renowned for USMC fighter squadron VMF-214 (“Black Sheep”) flying Chance Vought F4U-1 Corsair USMC Fighters, amongst numerous others.
It would not surprise me if you had built both. If so, please let ud know how things went. I also would like to learn how the two kits compare and contrast. Since they essentially are the same aircraft, I would expect their overall shape to closely match.
I infer from your accent that you are a shopkeeper Down Undah (as I hear you lot phrase it). As one who long has lacked the means for travel (especially anything extensive), I like to ask folk I encounter in person or online how things are in your area? From all I have seen on the televised news and discussion programmes, given your country’s position of prominence in the region, China’s ruler has kept rather busy Prime Minister Anthony Albanese (Australian Labor Party) and the executive government (if I understand correctly all that).

Hi Geoffrey! It is the old Monogram kit reproduced by Revell, so the box art still is monogram :) www.metrohobbies.com.au/products/revell-15996-1-48-republic-f-84f-thunderstreak-thunderbirds

The best P 40 was the Cox 049 Curtiss. It could do the most damage to a child.

I had a cox turn in circles gas powered airplane. Mustang, I think (circa 1970). Yes, damage on so many levels.
