- This counseling assessment vignette demonstrates an interview with a client (played by an actress) who exhibits features of obsessive-compulsive personality disorder.
For the love of god please straighten that arm rest cover
I realize that this is acting, but it does come off as a bit of a caricature. I'm assuming this would be a much more extreme case than what is actually encountered in a session.
the perfect worker doesn't exis-
very useful to see the categoies and descriptions brought to life in this way. I'll work through the role play videos. Thankyou for providing valuable material
I'm Autistic and struggle with changes of routines. Plus because of my perfectionist traits I struggle with low self esteem.
I can't explain why but these hypothetical therapy session videos are the best unintentional comedy
Great video! I loved this actress!!! Unfortunately, I resemble her...lol.
Lol I hear the complain she had and I was like: damn girl, I do have the same problem at my job 💀
BLEASE DO MORE OF THESE
Lol she's right about the schedule I would be so mad if someone wanted to change with me.
What's with the typos in the comment secktion, is it to tease people with OCPD?
Yes,this person(Actor)is definitely displaying some OCPD behaviour.( my hubby keeps receipts,he displays lots of OCPD )They’re showing the difference between OCD and OCPD.
"I love it, it's like a machine" Wow, that's what egosyntonic means!
I like that he's casting the net out and scoping for what is anxiety? what could be autism? what is the purpose of behaviour X Y Z in this client's world? I worked with someone with OCPD and it was very much "my thoughts/beliefs/ideas are right, things need to be a certain way or they are wrong" but complete lack of insight. On one hand she was very organised, detailed and precise - files upon files of paperwork and even wrote up her own therapy notes after our sessions. However, she hoarded intensely because "well someone should have come and supported me" "you not supposed to throw X Y Z away" Because of the client's nature making open clinical observations could go down like a lead balloon in the early days. Wonderful person though, some of the best shared laughter in sessions (eventually!)
Hello Dr. Todd, I just wanted to ask, if a person was diagnosed with ocpd and get treatment will they fully recover from the said disorder?thanks
I find it difficult to fit into big companies and work better in a small business
Thanks a lot for the video
Why would a person with OCPD even show up for counseling?
Um are you sure she's an actress? If so that's some very realistic acting
I don't have OCPD and I fully support this fake version of OCPD displayed here. The real OCPD people I have met relentlessly overstep boundaries, micromanage, hover, interrupt other people's workflow, and would never answer questions without turning it into a fight. Being self aware and minding your own business sounds like the healthiest OCPD I've heard of.
how did you get a video of my mother 🤣
