0:34 Banh Canh Cua , the first noodle restaurant in Ho Chi Min . Even though it was morning , it was interesting to see the locals wearing long sleeves , hoodies , or jackets whereas Dalena and Chonny wearing summer outfits .

My peeps! I still have family in Hanoi and it's always a great time there. Hope y'all had some Egg Coffee in Hanoi. I believe it originated there. ☺❤
It must have been commented many times before, but great to see the in-laws getting along fine with each other. Maybe its also customary for one to visit the family of the other before the big day.
You need someone from Hanoi to take out to eat. They will show you how to really eat and enjoy their style of food. I had no clue when I went Hanoi for the first time, that the pho was different. I didn’t like it at first, but then someone showed me the ad ons and how to bring out the flavours, and really enjoy it.
You bunch are a bowl of fun! I love you two and to see you travelling! 💕🙏

I went to Vietnam back in the mid 90s, still think about the food and people I met there. First off, the food is amazing. If you are into noodles, obviously it's one of the meccas of noods in the world. But the street food scene was amazing. I understand the street food scene is much, much smaller these days which sucks, but I'd hope it's still thriving somehow. And the people were so friendly and unlike my time in France during a couple of visits back then, no one spat on me being an American. But then again now in 2023, they might do that lol

The dessert looks similar to cendol in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. The green jelly is pandan flavoured.

Asians are always commenting on how they don't like desserts to be "too sweet". If it isn't sweet then it isn't dessert! It's just another course of the meal. They live a long time though so they must be onto something lol
It's about the sweetness that comes from the ingredients like the coconut milk, the beans, etc. Also, 32 grams of sugar is the recommended daily intake.

How the heck is it so many numbers for 1 us dollar. Like minimum wage is 4.68 million a month dong. Like 29000 an hour. For let's say 160 hrs a month. 40 a week. Imagine looking at your monthly salary. Dang only 4.68 million.

I'm so terrified of vegetable oil/canola, high fructose corn syrup, and heavy metals in waters and foods. I don't know how id travel.
Pho in Hanoi was a disappointment for most of the Viet Kieu that I talked to. No flavour, no condiments, small bowl, overcharged soup that taste like water and with no much beef in it.
I think it depends which restaurant u went to some good some are bad
The two best bowls of pho that I’ve ever eaten were while in Hanoi.
