    You are lucky, my dad is from Bangladesh and immigrated to America. I never went to Bangladesh i never got too see my dad's village, my dad's generational house, or the rest of my family.
    This made me emotional

    This was such a heartwarming episode. Our parents have gone through so much hardship that we will never have to experience because of their sacrifices. I'm sure your dad appreciated you going with him and wanting to know more about his childhood :)

    Today, I stumbled on your Channel.
    Growing up in Melbourne, I witnessed the influx of immigrants like the Greeks, Italians, Turks, Lebanese and other countries settle in Australia. I was young when the Vietnamese moved into inner city Melbourne as refugees. All immigrants at first seem strange to the locals of their new country. But like earlier immigrants from other countries, the Vietnamese worked hard and made their mark on Australia.
    Thank you to all Vietnamese immigrants for making Australia a better place.
    👏👍

    Bro i just died laughing when Chonny said "Di Di" at 16:40. It was so out of context and caught me off guard when the guys who were on the bike just randomly stumbled across saying "you guys vlogging?", then Chonny said hello back and told to them to go away all of a sudden afterwards in Vietnamese which was so funny. 😆🤣

    Let this video remind of us all of how important our decisions in life are, and how to be grateful to your parents for making the choices and sacrifices they did. Always pay respects to your ancestors, I am so happy you were able to. Unfortunately because of the lies spread of native Americans in the USA, I never got to understand my heritage until my grandparents had died. They lived in California for over a century. They struggled, they wanted the best education and health for their family, so they struggled. Even if the future they worked hard for doesn’t come to fruition (I’m not gonna go to college like they wanted-because the world has changed so much that is no longer the only option to choose), I promise to honor them and their struggle with everything I do. For instance, I just learned the loquat tree I am trying to save (I have a 2 year old plant now from seed) was my Grandmothers favorite, it’s so wild since I moved to New York. Loquats were introduced to California through the missions, a place where my grandfather was born and worked hard in. Just to grow this tree in their honor is so important to me. I could go on but no novels needed ❤😂

    • @amandakucsera
      @amandakucsera Рік тому +2

      Chinese immigrants actually brought the loquats to california, however I recall them being grown in the Spanish missions, (Spain is now the second leading producer of the fruit because of them stealing it basically when they would “visit” China) (thought Chinese scholars stole it from Japan 😂❤) “stole”

    Another hilarious but sentimental video where the star of the show is Chonny's Dad, who's so funny and outgoing. Chonny's Dad went on a Journey back to where it all began before he left for Australia. Looks like he has some explaining to do with his wife who wasn't happy about him going to see his first love. Poor Dalena had to take a back seat. Looking forward to seeing another video soon. From London UK 🇬🇧

    It's nice to see Vietnamese people retrace their roots after having left their country. I was excited about my mom showing me around the places where she lived, but she was quite sad when she was back in Vietnam. She didn't recognise anything anymore, and all her friends and acquaintances have also gone abroad. She didn't like the dog eat dog style of living and the scamming of Viet kieus by the locals. It was our first and last time visiting Vietnam. 😅 But I'm glad that your experience was different and pleasant
