I felt nostalgia already on release. Game of my life so far. Wind physics were never repeated in any aaa game I know of
fr the wind physics is unmatched to any open world. Witcher 3 you hear winds and you'll see trees leaves etc. moving along with it and the birds flying away from trees. Even newer games fails to replicate that immersion @@artorias550
I played the game in 2016, and this is exactly how my brain remembers it! Strange how every game's visuals are much better remembered than they actually were.
I think for a lot of games we remember it as a projection of the real world. I stood on top of a small hill irl and was like "hey I've seen this somewhere in Witcher." XD

With the NExt Gen Update the Game looks way better than in 2016. And on an OLED TV with 4K an HDR, you dont need a reshade because it looks awesome enough.
Something similar happens with books. When you remember a line from your book you remember the scene you read not the actual “lines”, because it’s your imagination in action. With games it’s a little different but I’d say you remember the experiences and that’s why a game always looks better in what you remember of it that it actually is

I have played this game only year ago. What a masterpiece, i have never played such a good game. Nothing can compare. Perfect in all aspects: story, music, combat, side story, world, mini game, jokes, characters.
I have finished story 2 times in a row with 2 different ending. And played about 300 hrs. I will never forget it. No other game can give such a brilliant feeling.

Well i dont do does types of videos here on my channel, but on my discord server i have a help modding the witcher 3, there i have post some videos made by other people to how to install mods and other with how the merges work, also there i help people modding the game and issues they encounter on there games.
And no not all of does mods work on next gen, because this modlist was made on old gen, when you go download any of this mods you have to pay attention if they also work on next gen

@@ilkankuss well no but you can role back to the old gen or stay on next gen, some of does mods work on next gen but they have their versions for next gen, when you go to the mods pages pay attention if says that works on next gen or on the download tab you will see that some have a version also for next gen.
Textures mods normally they work on next gen or on old gen, mods that have scripts they only work in some specific version lets say a animation mod have scripts so you will need to look if they have there version for next gen.

Great work. Respect. I personally prefer vanilla, as the original artistic vision fits in better with the fantasy setting, but for those seeking a more realistic approach, this is hands down one of the best reshades I have seen.

the camera angle is freaking perfect. hey man, you see at 7:10, I would love it if you did a hunt with this exact setting and cloak, with no subtitles and gerald narrating his hunt...would be so good. Of course it is only a suggestion. Do what you do man, subscribed :)

Really bad video compression, even in 4K60FPS. Next time, keep a constant bitrate from 40,000Kbps to 50,000Kbps (that's because you're focusing on fidelity first and foremost). It can also depend on if the footage is 30 or 60 FPS, but since you uploaded with 4K60FPS you should go with the highest bitrate you can manage. As it stands, the video looks kinda blurry, and the low bitrate is especially noticeable because of the foliage in the environment. Also, less motion blur and sharper anti-aliasing would go a long way.
What's the point of 4K when you can't even see edges with more clarity, or barely any image details in comparison to 1080p?
Yeah you maybe right, i need to check it out on the editor program and see whats wrong on video quality, thing is when i render the video everything looks really good but then youtube makes a lot video compression.
I had not had a console since the PS1 in my teens up to 35, where I bought a 2nd hand PS4, and witcher 3 was the first game I played, and I can't find the words to describe the experience it was. I played it over the course of a winter, I had taken time off work, and for a while it felt like I lived in that world. Everything from story to graphics, soundtrack, etc... was lightyears from what I remered from video games, it felt more immersive than any book or movie or anything, it felt like my TV was a window to another reality. No other game had such effect, even now when I see videos of the game the memories it summons feel like they're in the same part of my mind as the memories of places I've visited in reality rather than memories of games, and such graphics make it even more so. I can't wait to be able to play this with graphics like these on a vr headset
Thats true my friend, the witcher 3 is just one of the best games ever made, even in 2024 on PC with mods the game can look better then some modern games.
This game also bring me a lot of good memories and is my favorite game.

How did you get the grass looking better? I've got a RTX-4080 Super maxed out with the HD Rework project installed and it still doesn't look that great.

Those low-fidelity "rocks" on the roads are still making my blood boil. They make the entire presentation unconvincing as soon as you see them.
Well I couldn't handle to play it how it looked so "sweet" and bright. I'd love to try again with such a mods.

Its not a mod, its a bonus from griffin armor if i am not mistaken, but use a mod that makes that bonus work in all armos called Universal Grandmaster Bonuses mod

Wow, this looks EXACTLY like it did during that E3 trailer. The bending trees, the lighting. Like this looks like it was lifted right out of that original presentation. Witcher 3 was always a beautiful game, but you could tell they stepped it down to work on consoles from what it could have been. You brought it back to life here.

sorry for the late reply it looks like youtube did not give the notification, the mods i have all of them on the descriptions but the walking mod is E3ARP, and the hair physics are E3 Geralt Hair Physics 60FPS FIX.
Everything looks great, but damn I wish people stopped modding back that godawful E3 movement. Looks like a scarecrow with two left feet trying to run. Not everything has to be like E3, there were some clear improvements in many places and one of those was DEFINITELY Geralt's locomotion.

Vanilla is still better. Somehow in vanilla, the unnatural and beautiful colors that sometimes blend in each other in an almost watercolor like style is amazing and contributes so much to the world. This looks too normal and bland. It has lost its magic in my opinion. nevertheless your work is very good. good job!
Well i understand what you mean, but i think this did not lost that magic, if you try it out you will still see does details you mention, is a bit hard to see that from a video you will see does things if you try on your game, i made many reshades now for the witcher and they are all different and have there cons and pros and also lighting mods make does changes not the reshade it self but thanks for your understanding.

I've been on RDR2 since last year and the game is hella amazing. But I haven't any idea on how The Witcher 3 could feels like home for me.

@@harshit233 No this old gen, if you mean by the update is the next gen version of this game, this video is more about my new Photorealistic reshade update i made recently for PC only unfortunately, because consoles dont support reshades or mods.
You should plug in a controller to do these videos, the panning left/right up/down will look way smoother.

I am sick and tired of open world games. The big vast open space serves no purpose other than to make the game seem bigger and make one travel long distances amounting to a higher run time.
I would better take a small game with lots of physics. Like 10 trees and not 100 but I can climb, burn and chop them. Fewer houses that I can go into, burn, break and build.
And also a great AI would be welcome. Game AI has stagnated for 20+ years now. It's the same basic stuff we had in early 2000s. Nothing has changed.
@@HenryTownsmyth well i get it if this was a ubisoft game like the most Assssins creed's that is a big open world with almost nothing to do with boring side quests and like you say just to make it bigger, but witcher 3 is good that he is a big open world, because in every place is always something cool to explore like new quests, new encounters with monsters or bandits, beutiful landscapes etc.
Actually the witcher 3 was one of the games the was open world and had a lot of cool stuff to do most games this days that are open world does not give the same to us as the witcher 3 did but thats my opinion and what i felt playing this type of games.

Yes, i always tell that, but a big number of them that i have also work for 4.04, you just need to pay attention and look for the version for 4.04
And i have a big number of textures mods, so textures mods they work on any version, script mods is the only ones you have to watch for because does mods are not supported on both versions.

@@CCJ879 thats a bonuses you get from the griffin armor, but you get that with the mod called Universal Grandmaster Bonuses to have all bonuses from all witcher armors in game in any armor you use in game.
Everything is good, but i think the contrast is a bit too high, the blacks look too black and whites look too white.
@@DushyanthSachan thanks, but with a reshade i cant controle or balance does specific shadows for exemple if i try to make it less dark then it will look washout, and white points that is because of effects like white point fixer or bessel bloom, both can be tweak to your monitor, because on mine they look ok.
Reshade is hard because i cant really controle specific scenerios like night time if i lower the white points nights will be unplayeble, if it was lighting mod i had more controle on does things then a reshade.
Also i am doing a update to this reshade in this moment with a bit less dark on shadows but the far i can go without look washout, but thanks for the feedback.

Ok, now aside from the jokes, the reshade is heavy but it will depend a lot on the mods you use, if the mods are heavy the reshade will still drop a little more fps.

@@georgetrillana5108 Well HDR only works on next gen but i play now on old gen so i don't use it, if you are on next gen then yeah go for it, just make sure you are downloading the reshade version for next gen.

Well i am on old gen, also this video i made it on old gen, some mods will work on next gen but not all unfortunately, you will need to pay attention on the description of the mods if they will work on both version or not.
Also some of them they already are updated to next gen but in a new page or they will have that info on the download, description or post tabs.

@@parthsompura3146 You can do thats with 2 options, first use the grand master griffin armor, second you can use a mod called Universal Grandmaster Bonuses mod this will give all bonuses from all witcher armors without using them so you can use any armor in game and have all Bonuses

@@OSTVerse thanks, that is a bonus that griffin armor gives to the runes you use on swords, but i use a mod called Universal Grandmaster Bonuses that gives all bonuses from all witcher armors in the game at the same time on any armor you use.
This way you don't need to use a specific armor if you like the bonus that it give you.

@@redmilk2861 Never did one there, but if i am not mistaken for that collections you need vortex, and i don't recommend vortex.
Vortex with this all mods the chance of going wrong is very high.

Still to this day, the Witcher 3 stands as my favorite open world rpg of all-time, it's kept that place for a loooong time now. No game has come close to the perfection of the Witcher 3, but some close contenders are Elden Ring, Kingdom Come Deliverance and Cyberpunk 2077. The Witcher 3 had the best writing, lore, story, combat, exploration, progression, atmosphere, expansions, and memorable characters, I've played through it three times, and each playthrough there was always something new to find, I make it a point to do a Witcher 3 playthrough at least once every 2 years, a lot of people can't let go of Skyrim, well for me the Witcher 3 is that game, I've always stuck with and it's even better modded, and there are some great mods out there. My Steam page says I've played the game for 1,107 hours, and that's not even counting the time I played it on the PlayStation when it first came out.
Well said my friend, indeed the witcher 3 is one of best games out there even today, and with mods is even better it gives a fresh look and feeling to the game everytime you install a new mod.

Yes it is, thats why i role back to old gen, just play next gen for a month.
RT is awesome but i like more how BlitzFX is in my opinion.

Which mod do you usse to change the FOV ??
@@dredboi3913 Camera mods let you change FOV there at least 2 that i know of, absolute camera and immersive camera both have FOV sliders.
All I see are his swords clipping through his cape.
Well thats normal, the cape don't have colision on stuff like the swords, that is because cdpr never add it colision on capes because was only for npc using capes,cloaks etc, but this mod allows geralt to use them too, but all this can change on the future because redkit is out now and maybe is possibel to make does things but i am not sure.
sword slash trails are way too much for me, rest are great
