The moment only Matt said it was a plant, I knew it was him. The way "Agarentia Occidentalis" is written, it could only be a taxonomic name. Chris was almost plausible, but slipped up in stating it was the name of the infection rather than the organism that caused it. Guess the college course on greenhouse tech I dropped out of isn't entirely wasted.

Even not remembering that he usually uses the cardinal directions of "up, down, right, and left", I knew that whoever had the article would likely mention the connection to "west" because Tom's likely to know "occidental" means "western".

Yes, we can talk about it. It isn't seamless at all. It's two separate images with an obvious seam down the middle. The only edited part of it is the screen being poorly cut out from Chris' image and overlapping Matt's image. With the two logos overlapping the image, plus it being small scale, makes it appear seamless, but it isn't at all.
OK this format is brilliant but I feel like having multiple formats is the best way to go. Never stop recharging those fact batteries to the Nth degree
That would be fantastic. Citation Needed is a very loose and calvinball-esque improv game, pretty much impossible to adapt to a retail home game format. But I could see a game like this or even something wholly original from Technical Difficulties be a good video game
You should do more of this, with more Finnish stuff. I love hearing you butcher my beautiful native language while Tom brags about the handful of places in Finland he's actually been to (which are obviously all in the south so he's missed the best bits: northern Finland and Ostrobothnia)
I have to agree. _Citation Needed_ was great because it delved really deep into the article and had ample space for the players to make jokes. _Two of These People are Lying_ is entertaining, but I just can't see it getting the hilarious lines we got from the previous game. I feel like it lacks the space to do so, since each player is on wildly different topics and can't really play off each other. Although, perhaps I'm just being hasty. There were points where they did play off each other, so maybe they will find a way to let that bloom.
This is a fantastic format. If y'all viewers want more check out Wait Wait Don't Tell Me. Unfortunately it has none of the Wikipedia awesomeness or connecting word.

It always seems like Matt , Gary and Chris are friends because of Tom .... but sometimes in the Citations Needed I wouldn't notice Tom was even there (it's like a triangular friendship with Tom at the Centroid)
I'm most like Chris when I play games like these. I can easily make up something that sounds really plausible, but sometimes I fail to add in those tiny details that make the story come alive, which means I don't get picked as much. Oh well, I still love it though. :-)
My Dad is an avid gardener and enjoys amusing plant names and terminology... so when Tom doubted "glandular leaves" so strongly I was afraid he about to sabotage himself AGAIN!
Yes, but then that one person has the advantage of seeing all the article names in advance. The solution then could be either all of them (except of Tom, of course) see the names and one of them writes them down, have an extra person to write them down, or tech it up by writing a simple app/website that does the randomization.
Still cannot get over Garry saying “what, in a game where we’re trying to conceal who’s lying?” About him supposedly making it _look like he’s lying_ in a game where to goal is to convince Tom _you’re telling the truth_

I have to say this is a _really_ good format. Moderately simple to set up, provides plenty of opportunity for banter (which, I'd assume, is what most people come here for), and, to put it bluntly, it's always fun to watch someone squrim trying to make shit up.

Man, I thought citation needed was the best game ever, but this is a serious competitor. As other commenters have pointed out, you all work perfectly in your roles to make the video compelling and the game competitive. I can't think of many people who could pull this off. I had been wondering about the whole handwriting issue and whether th rest of the Tech Dif Crew at least knew the titles ahead of time, so that the laughter wouldn't be immediately obvious. I would like to see the others take a turn guessing as well. (Matt already got a chance to host in the audio episodes if memory serves me correctly)

Would love to see the roles change up instead of Tom always doing the guessing. I know historically Tom has always been the presenter, whilst the other three have been playing, but being as this game doesn’t really require a presenter, I;d love to see the others get involved too. I love this new show idea though, really happy to see Techdif making more bedtime material for me! Although I’d love to see the format a little more adapted to accommodate more random discussion during the rounds. It follows a very systemic pattern at the moment, where A talks, B talks, C talks, a short discussion/Tom commenting on each persons article, A talks a bit more, B talks a bit more, C talks a bit more, Tom takes his guess, end of round. There’s not a huge amount of random chat in between, personally my favourite thing about these TechDiff things is the random chat, much more so than whatever the given game is, whether it’s reverse trivia, citation needed, or whatever else. I come to hear you 4 chaps have a laugh, rather than for the game itself. If this game could accommodate more discussion I’d be super happy!
