BTS Magic Shop Journal Tutorial

- Grab your bullet journals, sketchbooks, death notes, etc. we're making an old fashioned (sorta) cover inspired by BTS' Magic Shop. Using craft foam to substitute leather because it's cheaper lol.
Because why spend the time making the inside pretty when you can just go overboard on the cover so it doesn't matter what you do on the inside.
Yeah idk this seemed fitting for the new year, but also here we are almost a month into it woops.

Yes! Tbh BTS is one of the big reasons I started making craft videos in the beginning, so glad that you like them as well. Definitely have been one of my biggest inspirations creatively in the past few years~

BTS is pretty much the reason I started making the videos I am now, the first miniature I did a build video of was the BWL theater! Glad you could enjoy this too, their stuff is super inspirational for me haha~

I'm slowly catching up with your back catalogue. I have forgotten the times I've super glued my fingers together, but it's a lot. I really appreciated your effort with this cover, really good. I stopped my car on the top of the Sierra Nevada mountains after a trip to Reno from Sacramento. It was around midnight on a bitterly cold night. I switched all the car lights off and looked up. I've never seen so many stars in my life. The different colours and brightness was awe inspiring.
And here I am slowly catching up with my back log of comments haha, big apologies for responding so late! Yes! When the super glue comes out, it is never not getting all over the fingers, it's a mess. Sounds like such an absolutely lovely experience, sometimes I do wish there was a little less light pollution so we could just walk out and see more stars. There's just something about them!

Like I get that it’s the “cheap” version but that’s what I love about crafting so much! We get to make amazing results with the limited resources that we have. And ofcourse, it takes more time and effort to perfect the imperfections. Anyways, I am glad to have come for the crafts but found BTS too~ 💜
Oh absolutely agree, making materials you have available work is absolutely my favorite part of crafting! It might not always look as good (or maybe you discover something even better haha), but it's so much fun to use a little creative problem solving~

I had to look up BTS...I thought "this surely can't have anything to do with that Kpop Boy Band, can it?". I don't understand the appeal, and so of course I'm not a fan...but having said that..this is awesome, I love it! Also love your spider pendant!

I don't listen to BTS at all not because I don't like the I just haven't gotten around to it. However I know nothing of the song or music video this is inspired from but you had me at magic shop!

I really hope you do try! Maybe this won't mean too much, but every project comes with a little bit of failure, that's just how you learn. Even if you do make mistakes, it's almost always possible to fix them- sometimes that's even where the best ideas are formed! It's never about the final product being perfect, as long as you enjoyed making it~

I actually totally planned to, but I couldn't think of a project for it! If I do in the future, will definitely do it, but unfortunately the ideas don't always come~
In case you don't know, nail polish remover/acetone will remove super glue from things, including your hands. It's embarrassing how long it took me to learn that...

@@MechanicalFiend Good! Having super glue on my fingers is the worst!! Also, if you need to remove hot glue from something, use alcohol. Somehow it breaks down the chemical bond and the hot glue pops off like magic!

No, oh my goodness your English is great! You could 100% do this as a flat drawing or painting instead! This definitely isn't the only way, something similar could absolutely be done with different materials as a flat piece. Everything can always be changed to fit what you can do and what you want it to look like. I don't know exactly what your project is, but I'm sure there would be a way to make it work! I wish you all the luck on your project~
