I don't think people are realising how much work was put into this. it's a studio level animation and the only thing separating it from a triple a job is slightly the graphics and the comedic style of it all. one was due to limitations from gta 4 textures and the other was intentional. i'm all happy for what we got but this must have taken more than a year to pull off if he was alone or with a few friends. did he get paid? was he hoping to get some worth from views? does he have a patreon or similar? what did he do all this on. there's way too much animation, cinematography and detail to be thrown for free as it means we won't get another. most of such level animations don't ever make it because of burnout or just lack of funding. great piece btw. laughing through and through. congrats on the skills and discipline to stick through it

I love GTA 4 but the mission variety is something I saw myself not excited because I already knew what type of missions it has

I like GTA 4 by it's story and atmosphere (also the driving that I like alot) but it's one of the flaws that very few points out. makes sense story wise since your a hitman doing jobs to other people but gameplay wise it's quite repetitve. Only the crucial moments it saves it.

What’s blowing my mind is that you managed to use the GTA gun shot audio, running and door opening animations for Niko and the car physics while also rendering this in a separate program of some kind. It’s wild! Awesome job!
I love the use of original GTA IV sound effects. The sound design of that game is so iconic. Also the part where the police get slammed by the enemies but start chasing Niko because he barely tapped their car was GOLDEN.
So many of these shots were genuinely cinematic. I mean I was already impressed with the beginning segment but this just got better and better, the chase segment is easily my favorite it just has so many good shots that make it feel like a serious production. Like really well done not just from an animation standpoint, but from a cinematographic perspective in terms of getting the right shots and developing the sequences in a manner that looks nearly realistic as if though cameras were actually planted in specific places. I love those panning shots like when the bus hits the red car at 4:37 because it just changes the flow perfectly while still be harmonious with the movement, even as it follows up with the next shot which gives us another angle. Super well done.
It'll spread throughout the land, for its too awesome to not be noticed I just hope folks will credit the maker (some intentionally hide the watermark or leave out who made it) Guy deserves all the praise from this fine art 👏🐴

There's so much details to appreciate, from the incredible hand to hand combat, to interacting with the liberty city map objects, furniture and architecture, makes it feel absolutely alive. this is a MASTERPIECE! i love the graphics and the fact you used all the cars from gta 4, didnt expect to see Pinnacle or Fortune in here. i also love how everything is detailed, like at 4:26 we can see Oracle ramming the parked green Admiral, and Admiral's alarm goes off and the blinkers work too! even though we only see it for a second. the destruction of cars is really Matrix like, its like the gta 4 got remastered by R* and they updated the car crash system, fascinating! i laughed at the part when the phone came up after respawning at 7:40. i used to struggle a lot when playing gta 4 for the first time on my xbox 360 back in 2008, the sms sound used to haunt me when i was failing the missions. great job with the animation, looking forward to seeing you creating masterpieces!

Meanwhile in actual GTA 4; you either take cover or crouch while taking your time to shoot the most still-standing enemies, and moving towards your objective with weirdly sluggish delayed animations and even more weirder is the fact that it doesn't occurs with every animation.
The sounds, the models, the mesh deformations, the police running over civilians and not caring about other npcs and spawning behind the camera, 7:21 the police cars staying on the road in a line formation... That's so accurate, what did you use to make this ? Did you extract every mesh from GTA IV ??

Meanwhile in actual GTA 4; you either take cover or crouch while taking your time to shoot the most still-standing enemies, and moving towards your objective with weirdly sluggish delayed animations and even more weirder is the fact that it doesn't occurs with every animation.
The sounds, the models, the mesh deformations, the police running over civilians and not caring about other npcs and spawning behind the camera, 7:21 the police cars staying on the road in a line formation... That's so accurate, what did you use to make this ? Did you extract every mesh from GTA IV ??
polcie didnt spawn behind camera, you could see them on the map. and escape mechanism was amazing in that time
@@antoniolanga9670 Sometimes you can seem them pop up on the minimap. I agree that the police system in this game remains one of the best to date and the best of the series.
