Yay, the Libs will create a new government corporation to build homes. What could go wrong?

If you are young and interested in starting a stable family be aware you can not do it renting or living in a shoe box sized condo. Save up as much as you can and buy property outside the country. The political class, real estate companies and our elders sadly do not care. Everyone says they want affordable housing just not there home to be affordable. So with home prices to far out of reach, even they if prices dropped by half it's still to expensive for the average person or family after taxes to afford even if you have the stomach for debt for 20 years of your life. This future of where the young home grown Canadians who pay taxes will be able to afford to live was never once taken into consideration. While political leadership allowed home's to become financial products and retirement plans. Sad

I haven’t seen a new apartment building go up in my lifetime, they build fancy expensive condos but never affordable apartments. Why did this stop?

Sure, Mr. Del Duca, let's create ANOTHER government bureaucracy. That'll solve everything! LOL!

Attainable and affordable. That is the key. It is a supply and demand issue, but it's also an afforablility issue. Renters want bug free, affordable homes. NOT condos with HOH fees on top of the rent or mortgage. Those are unattainable by many. I think a town home should not be a condo. If it is being rented out, the renter shouldn't be responsible for paying HOH fees.

Judging from this segment, I'm asking why was Steven Del Lucca elected leader? He put on a lousy debate. He's trying to appear rational and calm, but he's missing the fundamentals of making eye contact with the camera, and comes off as rambling. Tim Hudak could say what he just said, same oral delivery, but make strong eye contact with the camera, and in so doing, gets his message across like a master communicator.
