This is true - The 'Jimin-effect' is Real.. 😊 *Smiles happily* 😅 ❤ But also, a very big shout-out to Suga and his "Rap-Technology.." 👀 *.....Smile inadvertently Intensifies* 🤭😅😇
RM is not the oldest, but he is the leader of the group and the only one basically fluent in English. Jin is the oldest. Love that you checked out this video. Live version of BTS is always the best version. Looking forward to more of your videos!
The last song, Spring Day, is our Queen song. It has never left Korean charts since it was released (2017 I think) and rises in the charts every spring.
So, there's a video of Jimin just waking up and still in his pajamas when they were filming one of their reality shows, and he sings from a corner of the room about how he now hates Hobi (JHope's nickname) for waking him up when he was tired. It's hilarious and so so good. 😂 RM is so impressed that he starts to sing backup. The whole thing cracks me up. Just type in "Don't Wake Me Up by Park Jimin" and the clip should come right up. He has a beautiful singing voice, even half asleep and slightly annoyed with JHope.
Next, please watch BTS room live. It’s a medley of b-sides, 1 per year from 2013-2021. This will give you a taste of some of the genres that they have in their catalog. And a lot of their personalities.
@@XplozoneReactsAm going to go against the grain here and say that I believe they are using autotune/effects/some kind of processing here, or at the very least, I'm not confident that they *aren't* using any processing here. The only times I'm 100% confident that they're not using autotune/processing is when they're singing without a mic on a livestream or in candid videos. They sound beautiful with 0 effects, but I'd say that they don't sound exactly like they do even in this stripped back performance. There's a certain artificial brilliance, an almost metallic quality here - like the aural equivalent when someone uses software to artificially sharpen a photo - that isn't there when they have no effects applied. There's a warmth and complexity to their voices when they are au naturel that I don't hear here.
@@onenottwoorthree it was my initial thought because it sounds exactly like an effect I use myself called an "aural exciter"... many companies make them. The TC Helicon Mic Mechanic vocal effects does sound exactly like that metallic essence you hear. Which wouldn't really be considered as post production, if it's happening in real time. It could be just a miracle that their voices are so pitch perfect and super clear... Which would be outstanding! Either way though, these guys are extremely talented with fantastic voices ☺️
@@XplozoneReacts thanks for the explanation! I don't know much about all this fancy audio engineering equipment and I enjoyed learning from your descriptions. 😊 Of course, without a controlled study environment, I can't rule out the miniscule chance that the whole group of them manually manipulated their own voices to sound this bright, but it would be quite an incredible feat for everyone to sound this consistently metallic for an entire song, much less an entire segment. Besides, having those effects added takes nothing away from their performance ability. One can listen to and admire their unadulterated voices in other sources and still appreciate their vocal chops in this one! Glad you enjoyed the performance!
That is Jimin with that high voice, it can be gentle and light or power but he also has a growl that catches you unaware at times. He's a Hip Hop and Contemporary dance that does the most amazing tricks on stage as he's also a martial arts expert. He looks all cute and gets shy but on stage he's completely different.
Spring Day came out in 2017. It is still on the charts in Korea and has been there continuously. When RM says it's been the roughest summer ever, but Spring will come. He is referring to the COVID-19 epidemic. They used the tiny desk concert format as a way to stay and touch with army during the pandemic.
I am happy to see a father and son watching together. As a mother and teacher I feel qualified to say you won’t find better role models than BTS in the music industry. Their success story is an inspiration to millions. They have overcome barriers meant to stop them from even debuting to winning the hearts and admiration of people across the world from all walks of life. They are living examples of dedication, hard work, sense of humor, strength, humility, and generosity. All of these are shown by how they live their lives and their music too. Their music has positive messages with references to literature, art, Greek Mythology, and even psychology theories. BTS music has addressed social injustice, mental health and other topics not openly talked about in their and many other cultures. They have openly shared their personal struggles with mental health and many of life’s issues. There are many areas of the BTS world you could choose to dive into. Just be ready to be pleasantly surprised if you dive a little deeper in any area of their lives, music, lyrics, fandom, success story, etc. There is even a fictional universe/story that runs through many of their albums and videos. They are know for dropping Easter eggs in their videos, award show performances, etc. that is fun to try and find. Whatever you choose to focus on, just be honest and open. Please don’t look at the past for an example or make assumptions based on your background knowledge of boy bands because there has never existed a group or situation like this one. Many of the factors I touched on along with BTS’s use of technology to celebrate successes with fans and communicate directly with the fans has all played a roll in the bond BTS and ARMY share. I will happily be watching if you react to more BTS. The ARMY will be helpful as you can already see in your comment section. Oh, and wait till you see a live performance from a concert and their dancing. It only gets better!
Loved your reaction ! I’m from the UK too, and BTS ‘found’ me three years ago just after my husband died. They saved my sanity and continue to fill my life with joy. I just turned 75 and I hope to still be around when they come back to us ! Borahae 💜
All members are Korean, and until a short while ago, they all lived together. This was filmed in Korea during lockdown. Dad, loved watching you "get carried away". I will add my voice to the suggestion to watch an introduction video. While the time may seem daunting, Taylor does a really, really good job of truncating everything, and ARMY doesn't mind at all long videos of our boys.😉 Feel free to pause as needed.
Thanks for reacting to this video! BTS live is always amazing! You do need to watch a documentary on the group. I would suggest “A Guide to the Bangtan 7” by Taylor Mari. It will give you a comprehensive look at how the group was formed and insight into each member. Rest assured that the voices you hear are theirs (no tricks here). There are effects for videos, etc but they do have the voices to back it up. Not sure why you still doubt it and continually talk of auto tune. Not that they don’t use it for effects but believe me, they don’t need it, they are great singers. I can appreciate your approach as that of a person who performs for a living in the music field. Just keep watching BTS and you will find yourself a part of ARMY in no time. These men are talented as well as amazing human beings! They are all kind, polite, humble and generous! Looking forward to your next BTS reaction!!
One thing to add is that even though it is a “longer” video the introduction is so well done that you will be surprised how quickly time will pass. I think it will keep both of you engaged easily. 😀
@@djlivvy46 True, doesn’t it make it so fun watching when they realize that they don’t actually use auto tune and are just that good? I mean, they do use auto tune in some songs for effect\mood but you can clearly tell if for artistic effect and not trying to hide something. All the guys are sooooo talented and I feel proud of them.
New to BTS? Brilliant! Welcome to a life changing experience! They are our pride and joy that will surely win your hearts 💜 As Jimin said... you nice, keep going!
Jimin tiene una voz aguda angelical hermosa y cuando canta notas bajas son armoniosa, es unos de los integrantes que se luce en los conciertos y nuestro Ángel.💜💜💜💜🐣
RM is the band member with the best English. He taught himself to speak English watching DVDs of the American television show friends. He watched it first with Korean subtitles, then with English subtitles and then without subtitles.
BTS FOREVER leyendas.💜💜🐣
Great reaction. Go and watch the explanation of Spring Day. I dare you not to cry. You'll love it. Psst that's Jimin's real voice. He has the voice of an angel. Enjoy the rabbit hole.💜💜💜💜💜💜
Spring Day MV + explanation is amazing, & tragically awful. Be prepared with tissues, & read a summary 1st, so you can decide if you want to air it. BBC Live is also awesome, yes, they are a rare band that's better live & every performance is unique! Along with others I recommend Taylor's Guide to BTS, or XCeleste's Intro to BTS so you have some context on members before going forward; it will enhance your enjoyment & understanding of further content. Of which there is a LOT, don't get overwhelmed, & watch at your own pace/path! Many songs have a MV + dance practice + behind the scenes (Bangtan Bomb); and many have explainers vids because of the deep/culturally relevant lyrics. ARMY will still watch long vids of both MV + extras, & don't mind pausing/rewinding to appreciate art, lyrics, or music! Welcome baby ARMY, enjoy your journey! 💜
Yep, their band, Ghost, is amazing too. They've been with BTS for a long time since way back in 2015. One of them, Dokshim, is also a producer for some of BTS' music.
RM is not the oldest. He's the leader but there's two members older than him and one member who's the same age as him. Other 3 are younger than him. They film things everywhere they go. Mostly in Korea because they live there. This one was in Korea. It was during covid 19. They are amazing singers. Also dancers. They do both at the same time. It's impressive. Also they are phenomenal songwriters, three of them are some of the best rappers ever. They lived together for years. Recently few years ago they got seperate places. But they were together even then all the time. They grew up with each other for the most of their lives. It's only recently they started official solo activities so they have individual projects more. Group projects are at hault. Two of them are in military. Still they hangout whenever they want and have time. They are family. There's a lot of groups that are not close in reality. But BTS are family. They love each other very much.
Their band is called Ghost. There are even UA-cam videos filmed from the drummer's kit in a BTS live performance 😊 The one you said was good at English is our fearless leader, RM. He is not the oldest, he is the middle one but he is incredibly clever and taught himself English from watching friends. He is the only one fluent in English but the other members are learning. All 7 members are from South Korea. This tiny desk concert was filmed during the pandemic, hence the inserted word "home". It was filmed in an old-fashioned record store in Seoul I believe.
OK, the guy who speaks good English is RM, the leader/spokesman of the group and rapper, his age is right in the middle. You identified Jimin with the angelic high voice, the baritone with the waistcoat is V. Jungkook in plain orange jacket and blue jeans is the main vocalist. All in orange suit is J- hope, rapper and main dancer, then there is Jin the oldest and tenor with a lot of vibrato. Finally we have Suga, rapper in black jacket and yellow pants. The last song Spring Day is seen in Korea as in memory of a tragedy when hundreds of school kids drowned on a school trip. They dont use autotune to correct their voices, but sometimes use it for special effects. I imagine the video was made in Korea because it was made during covid, and they had had to cancel a planned world tour. I recommend you watch an introductio to the Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari. Pretty hot here too, west london
If you put in the "main" in: RM is main rapper Jimin (and J-Hope) is (are) main dancer(s) - they have very different styles so it works out. Not that is matter much anymore after 10 years. 💜
I love seeing your close relationship!! Fathers and sons should be that way!!😊 They sang this Tiny Desk from Korea fir NPR during Covid, so that’s why they sang “Spring Day” to remind us that this too shall pass and Spring will come.💜
They did a song in conjunction with Coldplay called My Universe. The music video is outstanding, and there is a behind the scenes video showing Chris Martin traveling to Korea to record the music with them. As folks from the UK I thought you might enjoy this. The music video is completely cinematic, and the video of them recording with Chris Martin is amazing.
You and your son are so fu. together. Love your reactions! Hope you'll continue to watch BTS. I'd recommend the "Guide to BTS Members" by Taylor. You'll learn about their come up, which is one of the most inspiring stories and youth (and adults) would do well to learn from them. Looking forward to more videos. Sending you both 💜 from Canada!
Yes! But I also love Jimin can still change his voice to match the song too which is cool! But his tone is so cool. It’s definitely more evident in some songs than more. Especially, in my opinion, their more recent songs he really gets to shine in his voice.
This was filmed during Covid (about 2 years ago), so it's definitely filmed somewhere in Seoul, S. Korea. The guys lived together from before their debut (2013) until around this time. They all now own homes in Seoul and live separately. Jin (whose shirt you liked best), is the oldest at 30. RM is the leader because he has a natural authority, but age-wise he's right in the middle at 28. The youngest is Jungkook, who is 25. Jin and J-hope are currently doing their military service (which lasts between 18 months - 2 yrs) and the rest are expected to enlist by the end of this year. If all goes as planned, the whole group will have finished their service and be back together in 2025. RM and Jimin will most likely go soon (they have both released solo albums recently), and then V (pronounce vee, not five) and Jungkook. If you want to watch more of them live, try to find some actual concert clips or award show performances. The PTD concerts in Los Vegas were great (their first after Covid) or the most recent Busan concert (their last performance together in public as a group before the break for military service and solo projects). Magic Shop is another one that you have to watch live - it's a song written directly for ARMY. For MVs, it's fun to watch Dope and Fire together in that order and see the guys when they were a lot younger. Watch Idol for some crazy visuals (and a great song). Do watch the Guide video by Taylor Mari, whether you record your reaction or not (it's pretty long). And then try some of their variety show "Run BTS" (on the BangtanTV youtube channel) and maybe a few of the fun fan-made compliations of BTS just...being BTS goofballs. They are a lot of fun, especially once you get some idea of who they are individually.
They are all great suggestions to get to know BTS; and they are truly worth getting to know. But to that list I would also add The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story Of BTS (2022 Update) by Rice Squad. It's actually listed as the 2023 Update, but last I checked it was still actually the 2022 version (unless it's changed since). Between the Rice Squad's video and Taylor Mari's, you have a great grounding in BTS. Taylor looks more at the individual members (with a quick insight into their background and accomplishments - and ARMY), Rice Squad give a little more detail in how they came to Big Hit, and BTS, then concentrates mostly on their musical journey. BTS are... truly remarkable. Not just as artists, but as human beings. And with all their success, they are still the intelligent, caring, compassionate, driven, often shy, funny, passionate, goofy, unique, humble, beautiful inside and out, guys they were when they debuted.💜 I am so glad that I found them - or they found me - when I did; though I do wish I had come to them earlier. Still, They say that BTS find you when you need them, and I think that's probably true. I know, for some, they have been literal lifesavers. They have truly changed lives. And I can't imagine my life without them. A 54 year old female from New Zealand, I've listened to so many kinds of music in my time. From the music of the Big Band Era, to classic film musicals, 70s and 80s pop, Heavy Metal, Japanese Rock, Classical music, and the music of the 50s and 60s. But BTS is unique. And, no matter what your musical tastes are, you will find something in their impressive discography that speaks to you. That resonates, and takes hold. They have songs that will make you smile; make you rock out to them, loosing yourself in the music; make you think, about the world around you, about humanity, about things we accept as normal even if we know they need to change, about hope; and they have songs that will make you curl up and break down in tears, and what song that is will be different for each of us, and often we don't know why it affects us so much.💜 They know the power of humanity, the truth of the human heart. Because they are honest about their own hearts, and are willing to lay themselves bare, exposing the truth of their own hearts and hopes, their fears and darkest moments. And they do so, because they know they are not alone in such things. And they want to be our support, just as we are theirs. And I won't start on the relationship between BTS and ARMY, save to say that they love ARMY as much as ARMY loves them. Sorry for going on so long, it wasn't my intention. But, I guess, I had a lot to say. I will say, Welcome to BTS, you're in for a magical journey. 💜
Okay, I'm back again 😅 BTS are really the ultimate musicians, because all of their live singing ability is real. I can count on one hand the amount of times I've heard them use autotune live, and the only time they use it in tracks is as an artistic device (for example, one of the rappers uses autotune in the song "Black Swan" to create a more monotone, straight tone as he discusses the idea of losing his passion, sort of as symbolism of those lyrics). There was one time in a recent concert (October) where one of the members used autotune, and they straight-up had a conversation about it onstage with the audience, laughing and talking about how it was fun to mess around with it! They've all trained so much to have gorgeous voices (there's a running joke that even the rappers should be singers cause they can all hold a tune, too), and they're perhaps the only artist I've ever seen in my life have such consistently perfect live vocals without autotune. Factor in the fact that they're often performing incredibly difficult choreography as they sing, and BTS is basically magic!! It all comes down to hard work, though, years and years and years of it. Any autotune that they ever use is strictly for artistic purposes, cause they definitely don't need it to correct their pitch (of course, we also need to stop talking about autotune as it's a bad thing - it's a totally acceptable device to use to aid with your singing and provide cool effects that you couldn't otherwise have, BTS just doesn't really do that). Also, at least one of the members has perfect pitch (Jungkook)! Hope that helps! 💜
The name of the band is Ghost. They have collaborated on several projects and performances. Regarding RM's comment, "...this has been the roughest summer ever..." This was September 2020. Their tour was to start in April and go through the summer. Instead we found ourselves physically isolated. The video was filmed at a record shop in Seoul. The members are from different areas in South Korea. They began living together when they were trainees (before they debuted in 2013). Their first apartment (they refer to it as a dorm) was very small, and they all slept in one bedroom. They moved out of their last dorm (a spacious 6 bedroom dorm) last year. The members have their own homes, but they had kept the dorm because it was convenient to the Hybe building where their studios and practice rooms are. Their schedules can be very full and they put in long days/nights. Since they are on hiatus as a group, they no longer need the dorm.
There’s a minor effect added to the mics in this live performance, to “thicken” the sound, but that’s it, -it’s them, & their incredibly well-trained voices. The insane part for me is how beautifully they blend & take turns...no one does it better.
You can tell your boy looks up to you and respects your opinions. I love the relationship you have. You must be a good dad. Keep it up. Thanks for giving BTS a chance. They are truely amazing humans. (45-year-old American ARMY here. And I know all about hot. It was 115°F (over 46°C) today in my part of Texas. Luckily, air conditioners come standard in our houses. 😅)
Thank you so much... I really appreciate it. I'm super proud of my boy 😊 we'll keep going down this BTS rabbit hole! I think I'd probably melt away in that kind of heat 😂
Thank you for the awesome reaction! I think you both would enjoy the Coldplay collaborations, songs My Universe, and Jin's The Astronaut. BTS also did a cover of Fix You, which is excellent ( but UA-cam blocks sometimes). Have fun falling down the rabbit hole! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜OT7
68 yo Army here. I'm always looking for a new BTS reactor and I just found you guys. I really enjoyed your reaction. Keep the BTS content coming please.
Another live performance that I think is worth checking out (but might not be recommended as often anymore) is the Music Blood performance of Film Out on the Bangtan TV channel. It's one of their Japanese songs, and the vocals are just so clean and beautiful.
Hearing Dynamite live for the first time was what made me an ARMY. I thought the MV was ok but only watched it once. But a day or two later they performed it live for the 2020 VMAs and that I watched on repeat. I honestly couldn’t even tell you how many times I watched it. BTS are one of those rare acts that always sound better live. I couldn’t help but fall into the rabbit hole when every single live performance of theirs was so flawless.
Just to give you a warning, because I see some other commenters recommending explanation videos for the Spring Day MV (the last song they sang here), those videos deal with heavy, heavy material. The Sewol Ferry tragedy referenced by the MV (in a subtle enough way to avoid censorship by the government) caused so much needless loss of life, most of them school children, because of the corruption and reckless negligence of the people in power, and I cannot stress enough that the Italian Army video on the topic, in particular, is gut-wrenching. So I just wanted to give you a full disclosure about it, especially because you react with your son, because I wouldn't want you to go into that video unprepared. p.s. I thoroughly enjoyed watching you have your mind blown by Jimin's voice! 😆
Thank you so much for the heads up. I really appreciate this. I will talk to my son before we watch it and if he doesn't want to, I'll react to it alone 🙏🏼
The last song bts released about their 10th aniversary is called "Take Two" and there is a video of them singing it like that. I think on this song they sound the best they ever have.
This was done during the pandemic so it was filmed somewhere in South Korea, where all of them are from and live. Up until 2021, they all lived together (originally in a small dorm, then a bigger one, then a luxury apartment). They now all have their own condos/apartments or houses. RM is the Leader of the group, but not the oldest. Jin is the oldest (the one whose shirt you liked). Jungkook, who harmonized with J-Hope on the left several times and the one that started Dynamite off with the purple mic) is the "Main Vocalist". To learn more about that, watch a video by Ida S called Jungkook as the Main Vocalist of BTS. From left to right, it was J-Hope, Suga, Jungkook, V, Jin, RM and Jimin. From AGE, oldest to youngest, it is Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook. Spring Day is definitely a sad song and is a tribute, we believe, to the hundreds of young people lost in a tragic ferry accident in South Korea - mostly school students. BTS has not publicly said that for political reasons, I'm sure, and the words are written such that it can be interpreted different ways. Here, RM was using it to get through the pandemic, thus the comment about We Know the Spring Will Come even though it's been the darkest summer ever (or something like that). Through the pandemic, BTS kept working despite a world tour being canceled and gave us a Lot of content (such as Dynamite, Butter, Permission to Dance, an album called "BE" with one song on it being Life Goes On, variety shows ("Run BTS"), In the Soop and In the Soop 2 (Staycation show that films them for about a week in a remote location in South Korea since they couldn't travel), and more). I recommend you also watch Festa Room Live 2021. It is a medley of some of their songs going back to their beginnings - just them singing and having a good time. Again, this was during pandemic. If you watch that one, the Song names will be bottom left, but some are in Korean, and Album names will be bottom right on the screen at the start of each song (which will be partial songs since it's a medley). You'll get their names. It takes some time. I'm sure that most will recommend a fan-made video by Taylor Mari called "A Guide to BTS: The Bangtan 7" and it is good. There are other good ones by The Rice Squad that gives a little more insight into their discography and history. Taylor's goes more in depth into each member. xCeleste also has some excellent and shorter introduction videos and includes some about the hate these guys have faced over the years, on about who is BTS' ARMY, etc. Ida S has a lot of videos about Jungkook - his vocals, his other talents, etc. You can find videos on UA-cam about each specific member. Just be careful as there are also "ship" videos (matching 2 members up together), which are opinions and not reality most likely (e.g., Jungkook has been matched up with V, and Jimin, and Jin, and, well, basically all the other members). Obviously, this cannot all be real!! Anyway, we really don't know their relationship status and it's none of our business. In the Idol world, I don't believe they are permitted to share their personal dating or relationship status. Thanks for reacting to BTS! It's a fun journey if you are willing to stay on it. 💜
"where was this filmed?" - this was a special tiny desk (at home) series during the pandemic. So this was filmed in South Korea. Another tidbit was that Tiny desk had been trying to coordinate to have BTS on even before this but they have had such a hectic schedule and were not able to do this earlier. During the pandemic, BTS made sure to remain a constant for fans. They first released Dynamite as a kick start to the stupor we were all in st the start of the pandemic. It didn't delve into anything deeper in meaning as compared to their other song lyrically but the meaning was into changing everyone's mood from doom and gloom. It was like a distraction in a way to keep people's mindsets from sinking deeper at that time. They then went on to release BE. An album they created during the pandemic pretty much documenting their feelings through song. Now this Tiny desk is also special because it reslly spoke to fans on basically how we all, BTS included, were suffering in different ways during the pandemic but we should hang on, and spring (better days) will come. Spring day is one of the most beloved songs of ARMY. Of course I believe in how each person can gain meaning from songs but it might be interesting for you to check out the other hidden meaning in the song Spring Day. I suggest the explanation video by Italian ARMY because this person really took the time, to research and fact check the info in her video. I know it's a LOT longer that. The other available videos bur it does the song more justice. One thing though, for me, Spring day is the video that made me decide to be ARMY. I hesitated a lot because I knew I could be a casual fan. Basically someone who just enjoys their music but I could tell that when. You take on that name, it had more to it. This song made me really believe in what BTS stood for as artists and I wanted to support that kind of artist. Spring day made me respect them. Epiphany was the song that made me love them. Anyways. I hope you guys check out more BTS. My mom and I got a lot closer because of BTS. I'm thankful to them more and more each day.
@@XplozoneReactsIt’s a beloved, beautiful song by itself about the often conflicting emotions that missing someone evokes (which most people can relate to) but watching the MV and its explanation takes the song’s meaning/message to an entirely different emotional level.
#BTS es un super grupo tan maravilloso y completo, la Vocal Line ( Jungkook, Jin, Jimin y V) y la Rap Line Rm, Suga y Jhope 💜🫰🏻 Muchas gracias por su reacción.
You guys would LOVE Room Live Festa 2021 and Proof Live 2022. Also, I recommend A Guide to BTS members: the Bangtan 7 by Taylor. It's not a short documentary but please pause to take the time to read and absorb everything, and Army will totally appreciate that and watch it with you guys. Anyone who watches it says it doesn't even feel long since it's entertaining too. I will def subscribe after one of those. Loved your genuine reactions!
You have a great dynamic. It's great to see you enjoying BTS together. I watch BTS all the time with my 5 year old daughter and she calls BTS my first children because I've loved them since 2013 LOL.
All BTS member live in South Korea. When they recording American program usually they do it in America. But when pandemic, they recording in South Korea. This Tiny Desk Concert recorded in South Korea, because of pandemic.
Jimin's voice is so beautiful ❣️ he recently made his solo debut with an EP with very different genres in it. I think you would really like Jimin's solo music a lot too - I'd recommend Like Crazy, Letter, Filter, Lie and Serendipity to start out with. But Jimin is super versatile and sometimes raps and goes hard too lol
Also, since you like Jimin’s voice so much, he recently released a live video of a song that he wrote for Army, that is on his solo album. The song is called ‘Letter’ (편지 in Korean. And I agree, his voice is so lovely. ua-cam.com/video/DMDJt9x8LlI/v-deo.html
Jimin's voice might have reminded you of Michael Jackson a little maybe? He gets compared to him a lot because of their registers and because Jimin is an incredible dancer and performer. Even Michael's nephew loves Jimin haha
Tiny Desk is usually filmed in the US, but this was during the pandemic. BTS filmed in South Korea and they built the set to fit the Tiny Desk vibe. They actually built a couple of sets during the pandemic to mimic being in the US. For example they recreated the set for the Grammys where they performed Dynamite also they recreated the James Corden studio. They give 110% to all their performances.
It has never been confirmed but it is HIGHLY possible….(people say Charlie Puth confirmed it but he didn’t really. He said he suspected it but that isn’t a for sure)
@@AmorTYuzonthis episode has nothing to do with perfect pitch. It shows who has relative pitch. There is a big difference. I love Jk but he does not have perfect pitch. The best examples of who has perfect pitch is Mariah Mariah Carey and Michael Jackson
Jimin is amazing, he has a very different voice from the rest, he is so defined that he can reach notes that others cannot, please react to like crazy or to the new angel song he's from the new fast and furious movie where Jimin sings.❤ thanks for the reaction
Hello! Let me first say a big THANK YOU for your open-mindedness and for not being bitter because of the initial criticism of your lack of knowledge regarding singing voices. ARMY, as you will continue to discover if you choose to keep learning about the band, is relentlessly protective and deeply knowledgeable of BTS. We are very well-intentioned, though. Anyhoo, to answer the question as to where this Tiny Desk was filmed; it was in the record store, Vinyl & Plastic by Hyundai Card in Seoul, SK. And I think it set a record for views at the time it was released, 9/2020. If it's okay, I would also like to add to the recommended list; it is called BTS Room LIVE and it is a LIVE performance of parts of 7 of their songs from debut to present (at that time, 2021). The names of the songs are on the lower left corner and the albums are on the lower right. Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/RRhjdYsNwAk/v-deo.html 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Thank you for giving BTS a listen. And live they're excellent . Imagine they're dancing while singing and rapping live. And don't worry ARMY loves long videos 😂. I'm excited to see your journey 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I enjoyed your reaction. You are both too cute 🙂 I will be 56 years old in October and BTS found me in 2019. Army has a saying, BTS finds you when you need them most and I really did. I was in a massive depression and came very close to suicide. BTS is the reason I am still here. The first video I saw was Dynamite. I am ashamed to say I reacted like many Westerners do. I hated it. I hated the clothes and the bright colors - The 70's vibe is not something I ever really liked. The dancing was what made me check out their next video which was "On - Kinetic Manifesto" and I was hooked. I also thought Jimin was a girl - He is now my bias with the 6 other members hot on his heels. I love them all. Jimin did a solo song called Promise. I still listen to it every day to remind myself of where I was and where I am now. BTS brings such positivity and love to ARMY that we just cannot help but to return it in kind. I am so thankful every day that I have been able to go back to their beginnings and watch their journey to now. It is inspiring and only made me love them even more. If you choose to continue on your journey with BTS, I would suggest watching live performances with English subtitles whenever possible. Those are the best. The videos are cool and the productions are wonderful, but live is incomparable. I would also suggest checking for explanation videos for some of the songs like Spring day (Italian Army did the best one I think). Spring Day is a huge deal to the Korean people and for very good reason. The Rap line (RM, Suga, and J-Hope) do some wonderful songs that the explanation videos would make even better because it explains references that are only in the Korean culture. Their songs are almost always very positive and have a deeper meaning than it appears on the surface. They also have a story line that runs through several albums that is pretty cool. I hope you continue. I am subscribing in the hopes that you do. I highly suggest watching the Taylor Marie "A Guide to BTS Members: the Bangtan 7 next if you can. I think you will understand better why ARMY is so in love with these young men. Good luck to you 💜💜💜💜
Oh did I mention.. guys and women love Jimin.. his voice, dance, and his talent!! Once you Jimin in you can’t Jimin out!!
You beat me to it😅. I love Army

G DRAGON KING ,
So, there's a video of Jimin just waking up and still in his pajamas when they were filming one of their reality shows, and he sings from a corner of the room about how he now hates Hobi (JHope's nickname) for waking him up when he was tired.

Music speak no language and age... I'm glad that this young fella watch and appreciate music without prejudice.. You raised him well ☺️
Thank you so much 😊 this means a lot 🙏🏼
Next, please watch BTS room live. It’s a medley of b-sides, 1 per year from 2013-2021. This will give you a taste of some of the genres that they have in their catalog. And a lot of their personalities.
Great idea. We certainly will. Thank you 🙏🏼😊
I think this one is always great for new listeners too!
it's a must
Ooh yeah. Personalities are unleashed. 😅
Jimin has a unique and beautiful tone of voice, he is captivating💜
That first line from Jimin (end w the high voice) was what got me hooked on bts. It will always give me goosebumps.
That is Jimin and that is his REAL voice!!! He has a unique tone and timbre and can also sing lower, but his high tone is his signature.💜💜
We always say that they are SO much better live than in the MVs💜
They definitely are amazing here!
Of course, without a controlled study environment, I can't rule out the miniscule chance that the whole group of them manually manipulated their own voices to sound this bright, but it would be quite an incredible feat for everyone to sound this consistently metallic for an entire song, much less an entire segment.
Besides, having those effects added takes nothing away from their performance ability. One can listen to and admire their unadulterated voices in other sources and still appreciate their vocal chops in this one!
Glad you enjoyed the performance!
@@onenottwoorthree Yes. Just like every singer who sings through any microphone. That doesn't mean they can't sing.
Jimin’s vocals get you every time they are so unique 💜🔥
Spring Day came out in 2017. It is still on the charts in Korea and has been there continuously. When RM says it's been the roughest summer ever, but Spring will come. He is referring to the COVID-19 epidemic. They used the tiny desk concert format as a way to stay and touch with army during the pandemic.
💜🙌🏻 their love & commitment to stay connected to Army is immeasurable 🙌🏻💜

Not only are their sparkly microphones cool, but each of them has ear monitors that match the microphone.
I think reactors believe BTS use auto tune purely because they are not used to this level of talent in today's music industry.
@@SLiPinBoise - exactly! 💜
Please go for this and don't bother about the longer video. We ARMYs love them. 💜

I can’t hear Spring Day without my heart aching for those children and families envolved in the tragic incident.
There are even UA-cam videos filmed from the drummer's kit in a BTS live performance 😊
The one you said was good at English is our fearless leader, RM.
If you put in the "main" in:
RM is main rapper
Jimin (and J-Hope) is (are) main dancer(s) - they have very different styles so it works out.
Not that is matter much anymore after 10 years.
💜
That’s jimin he has that unique voice like feminine to masculine voice 😊
BTS live with a live band behind them hit soooooo different!!!! I agree they sound incredible live!!!!
They really do. The band is incredible! 😊🙏🏼
yes you got chills bcz its jimin singing
guys, don't forget to turn the subtitles on. thanks for the reaction. hope you both get to know them better. 💜
I love seeing your close relationship!! Fathers and sons should be that way!!😊
They sang this Tiny Desk from Korea fir NPR during Covid, so that’s why they sang “Spring Day” to remind us that this too shall pass and Spring will come.💜
They did a song in conjunction with Coldplay called My Universe.
Thank you so so much that means a lot! We certainly will! Hello from Wales UK 🙂🙏🏼
last time i heard a man sing that high and that clean like Jimin was Michael Jackson
And with all their success, they are still the intelligent, caring, compassionate, driven, often shy, funny, passionate, goofy, unique, humble, beautiful inside and out, guys they were when they debuted.💜
I am so glad that I found them - or they found me - when I did; though I do wish I had come to them earlier.
They have songs that will make you smile; make you rock out to them, loosing yourself in the music; make you think, about the world around you, about humanity, about things we accept as normal even if we know they need to change, about hope; and they have songs that will make you curl up and break down in tears, and what song that is will be different for each of us, and often we don't know why it affects us so much.💜
They know the power of humanity, the truth of the human heart.
This was filmed in a record store in Seoul. Their band is called “Ghost Band” and they have travelled with them for concerts in the past.
Jimin it’s amazing 😍😍🔥🔥
PARK JIMIN HAS MOST UNIQUE VOICE!!!

Thank you so much 😊🙏🏼
The name of the band is Ghost.
YES JIMIN voice has feminine high voice❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Another live performance that I think is worth checking out (but might not be recommended as often anymore) is the Music Blood performance of Film Out on the Bangtan TV channel. It's one of their Japanese songs, and the vocals are just so clean and beautiful.
Or the live clip of their new single Take Two for Festa! That one is also amazing

The members of BTS are all Korean and they live in South Korea. Their company is Big Hit Music which sits under Hybe Corporation.
You two are so sweet together. Loved your reaction 💜
Thank you so much 🙏🏼😊
Just to give you a warning, because I see some other commenters recommending explanation videos for the Spring Day MV (the last song they sang here), those videos deal with heavy, heavy material.
@@XplozoneReacts Absolutely, no problem! It's a well-made video, but not something you want to be blind-sided by.
Spring Day (queen) was released in February 2017. It has never left the Korean charts. Never.
Amazing! We'll certainly see the original soon!
@@XplozoneReacts also watch the explanation video by Italian army. There’s a lot to the mv that makes it great.
@@XplozoneReactsIt’s a beloved, beautiful song by itself about the often conflicting emotions that missing someone evokes (which most people can relate to) but watching the MV and its explanation takes the song’s meaning/message to an entirely different emotional level.
Наш Чимин прекрасен, уникальный человек во многом ❣️
😊🙏🏼
People always says Jimins voice have auto tune, that people are so wrong 🔥🔥🔥
#BTS es un super grupo tan maravilloso y completo, la Vocal Line ( Jungkook, Jin, Jimin y V) y la Rap Line Rm, Suga y Jhope 💜🫰🏻
Muchas gracias por su reacción.
Jimin’s voice 🔥🔥
Aww. That’s so wholesome. 😊
All BTS member live in South Korea. When they recording American program usually they do it in America. But when pandemic, they recording in South Korea. This Tiny Desk Concert recorded in South Korea, because of pandemic.
JIMIN JIMIN
Thank you for enjoying their performance! 💜💜
Чимин бесподобен, его голос невероятен, мёдом разливается по ушам🥰
부자끼리 너무 보기가 좋네요
착한 아들 멋진 아빠 같아요 ❤
Also, since you like Jimin’s voice so much, he recently released a live video of a song that he wrote for Army, that is on his solo album.
The song is called ‘Letter’ (편지 in Korean. And I agree, his voice is so lovely.

You noticed that V has a soulful voice… yes V has a soulful voice
💜
And Jimin’s voice is Angelic, very unique
Thanks for the reaction, borahae 💜
Jimin's voice might have reminded you of Michael Jackson a little maybe? He gets compared to him a lot because of their registers and because Jimin is an incredible dancer and performer. Even Michael's nephew loves Jimin haha
I can see why! His voice is unreal! 😊🙏🏼
JIMIN🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
They are incredible live, I’ve been to a few concerts and there’s so much joy at the bts concerts.
OMG! Love this reaction! I think you’d love Taylor’s guide to the bangtan 7!! It’s a sweet lil intro to the band and each member!!!!!!
Thank you so much! We certainly will be very soon 😊🙏🏼
There is a guide to the 7 members of bangtan if yiu would like to see it you'll get to know the members more as a group and individually as well.
thank you. looking forward to more BTS reactions. You all are lovely.
Thank you so much. There's a lot more to come 😊🙏🏼
Tiny Desk is usually filmed in the US, but this was during the pandemic.
One additional thing, Jungkook apparently has perfect pitch.
Yes he has it
His ear for music is impressive I general
It has never been confirmed but it is HIGHLY possible….(people say Charlie Puth confirmed it but he didn’t really. He said he suspected it but that isn’t a for sure)
@@amberpearce710pls watch run BTS episode 150 in this episode is all about who's member have perfect pitch.
Jk doesn’t have perfect pitch he has relative pitch which is still a great skill.
@@AmorTYuzonthis episode has nothing to do with perfect pitch. It shows who has relative pitch. There is a big difference. I love Jk but he does not have perfect pitch. The best examples of who has perfect pitch is Mariah Mariah Carey and Michael Jackson
Jimin is amazing, he has a very different voice from the rest, he is so defined that he can reach notes that others cannot, please react to like crazy or to the new angel song he's from the new fast and furious movie where Jimin sings.❤
thanks for the reaction
Here is the link:

💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Good luck to you 💜💜💜💜
RM is actually the 'middle child' . Three members are older and three are younger than him!
