Dude you're a predator. The world needs to be nice and you are doing nothing more than making people who have the courage to pay it forward change their minds to become an asshole like yourself. You should be ashamed of yourself scammer.
Hey man! I'm a diamond 1 league player, wouldnt think someone else was into RSD and league at the same time... I guess gaming alot = lots of youtube = possibly RSD. Getting higher rank on league cant make us happier, that one is tough to admit, itsan unquenchable desire... intresting shit. Cheers brother.
If you make a million dollars or you finally get that hot girl and you become happy for that moment, it's not because that event made you happy. It's because when you reach that goal or achievement you GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSSION TO BE HAPPY. If you want, you can be happy as soon as you wake up, happy to have another day in life. That will lead you to a better life
Pr0t3gy15 some of your aspects are true , but most peoples social circles consist of pure fictional friends. If you are not taking care of your relationships with your friends why do wonder why your game with women sucks? cuz its coming from the same place. If you are not treating yourself properly why should others do it. If you want to have a happy realtionship you should start with the realtionship to yourself cuz you are always like a mirror in front of a woman. We built a certain carma by our thoughts and actions in life. Thats why we feel attracted to certain things, opinions ,humans etc. so think about and start living your life towards a direction of self love, spiritual love, self boundaries, health purpose etc. MEDITATE OR TAKE MEDICINE IF YOU ARE DEPPRESSED OR TROUGH YOURSELF OUT THERE AND TAKE ACTIONS. YOU CANT CHEAT THE SYSTEM OF CAUSE AND EFFECT.
Thanks - how do I give myself permission to be happy on a daily basis when I am in the first world and have my healthy finances and family....how do I not feel guilty about being happy when others have horrible lives despite having done nothing wrong and not deserving their situation?
I've been saying this forever! I love this talk! People consistently ask me "Why are you so happy?" and I'm like "Dude why are you NOT?" Happiness is the norm.
I can guarantee you that if you’re running just a little bit outside of your house for 5-10 minutes everyday, doing MINDFUL meditation, try to force yourself to be greatfull at things, setting challenges for yourself like “before this day ends, I will go for that run!” And doing it even if it rains outside. Eat right, or at least eat less sugar, less carbs and more protein and vegetables. If you do these things for 2 weeks, I guarantee you that you’ll be happier. Each MINDFUL meditation “session” you do, it will bring you closer to yourself. Each time you force yourself to be greatful, you are learning your brain to think about happy thoughts randomly throughout the day❤️ And then running and eating right. Great body=greater mind. And if you want to, you can get in to religion if you already aren’t. Buy a Bible or a Koran if you want to. Happiness are just habits, if you love yourself, of course you are gonna do good habits. But you can do good habits to get you to love yourself and life to. Running does so much good for your brain, I’ve read an audiobook on running. I run everyday. But those days I don’t run, is still great because I’ve conditioned my brain to think positive thought every time because of Gratitude. I guarantee you that you’ll be much happier if you do these things. Love you❤️🧘♂️
Happiness is YOUR norm not others but yes others can be happy like you absolutely, they just need to do it their way and that’s for them to figure out unfortunately
7:00 I used to not understand the concept of vacations, because I saw it as temporary happiness. Now I realize that real life is happiness and vacations are just "extra" to mix things up and add flavor to life. I am very blessed.
Note for self: Do this 6363 Exercise taught at 1:05:00 often. (please Like this comment randomly, so that I get notifications to come back here. Thank you champions)
I had the most intense and deepest experience of my life last night. I tried the breathing exercise taught by Julien in this vid and went into meditation to try and dig up my inners demons. And it worked. 20 minutes in and i unraveled some dark shit that i have been carrying for 10 years, something that crippled me and that my brain thought to be absolutely true. I cried like i have NEVER cried before in my life. It just went all out. I recently got dumped (the day after we hooked up actually) by a cutie because i was just being too needy for her, i came from a place of desperation and scarcity. And it triggered some deep emotions in me, some stuff that i didn't understand. So I went through all the pain i felt and realized that it took source from one traumatic event in my teen years, involving a particularly harsh rejection by a girl i was fond of. At that time, i had huge insecurities about my looks. I was very skinny. And when you're a teen and you're building your identity, it can easily be disrupted by others. I was fond of this girl and her curly hair. I just wanted to give her love and express to her all the positive energy i had in me at the time. I was a little boy in a teen vacation camp, my feelings didn't come from scarcity, i was happy. But one time, we were just hanging out. I don't remember what i said to her, maybe something chody like : "do you think we could be together ?" To which she replied : "No not you, you are a skeleton." And the guy next to us looking at me, with a mocking smile on his face : "Is that true man ? You are a skeleton =) ?". BAM. That was it. In a couple of seconds, i had my confidence (at least the little i had) in myself shattered into small pieces. I think i started pickup back then to subconsciously compensate for all this shit i had buried in me. I even verbalized it to a friend : "I think i'm doing this because i'm chasing the chimeras of my past". The chimeras being the girls that didn't like me when i liked them.. I fee like something is gone, at least a part of the pain has been processed. I know there's more, a lot more actually. But if you know how to go through it and explore it you're on the right track. Tips if you want to create good conditions for this experience to happen : as few stimulis as possible. I did it in my place (this way no judgement from anybody, no one can hear you or see you), in the dark, naked, with earplugs in ears so i could hear my inner body more easily. Find what suits you the best and let yourself explore the scenarios that trigger a reoccuring pain in you. Through respiration, you can find it. Everytime my brain started to drive me away from what i was looking for, i regrounded myself through respiration. There, that was my experience. And i know there are gonna be more. Good luck guys ! May the RSD be with you.
Brother i just tried this today but i thought to only do it 10 minutes and i did for an hour with my eyes closed, a lot of relief but didnt cried and also i do feel theres so much more, have you advanced?
I've been working on myself and making great progress but recently I was rejected and it caused me to glitch and start to doubt myself, I began to feel insecure and all again but then I listened to more of your videos. I am now reminded that my value was never dependent on anyone in the first place. Thank you Julien for dedicating your time to helping others to help themselves. You're the man
I see happiness as experiencing the full spectrum of our emotions with a stable sense of self that's not at threat plus a coherent worldview in line with your values
I don't understand why there is nobody criticizing this at all. He literally said about resources and books as being "more shit getting in the way". He either talks out of his ass without thinking or he doesn't understand what he is experiencing, maybe because he is not a psychologist or psychiatrist. He obviously dives in some shit he doesn't understand at all and teaching to others his own experience about it.
@Fahim Well I quoted him directly. I am talking about this video and what he said here. He did said exactly what I wrote above. This is called talking out of your ass before thinking it trough. I saw some of his other videos when he is talking about books, and that is making it worse, today is saying you this tomorrow is saying that. He might be on his path of becoming a teacher and these might be his missteps, I don't know. But I am surprised that no one is really listening to what he says. I well aware of what he is trying to explain to people, but he is not delivering that at all, in this video anyway. Sorry.
@Fahim I understood what you are saying, and yes you probably understand what you think you should take out of it. You understand what's best for you, that's great! But he's delivery is flawed, here and in many other videos I watched with him. He assumes you know what is in his head. He assumes you know him in everything he says. Well not everybody knows him.
Holy shit Julien. You have LITERALY impacted my life more than any other person on this planet. Thanks a lot for everything you did, I hope I'll meet you someday. Peace!
AWESOME video. For those interested in the idea of diving into yourself to release and 'heal' the internal traumas and barriers to happiness, let it be emphasized that it's not going to be unveiled or released by a few hardcore deep explorations or attempts at healing. It's just too much to be removed at once and it would be extremely distressing to try to iron-man it. Instead, it is important to create a personal commitment to recognizing painful experiences for what they are (just your own innocence on auto-pilot through negative programming that was imprinted on you) and decide to 'let-go' or accept them as they come up, when you can over time. It's not something that you will figure out and have it click like an answer to a riddle, but instead a gradual unfolding. The speed at which you'll shift will be determined by how committed you are to choosing to feel into yourself and allow the emotions of the moment as they arise through your day, day to day, forever more. Day by day, every time you are willing to feel into the discomfort and what is truly happening within you, that will slowly move mountains. for anyone who would like a book reference for a technique that will allow for an easy but effective way of releasing the subconscious stuff julien is talking about, I recommend 'Letting Go: The Pathway To Surrender by David R. Hawkins' two other sources for practice and understanding are Teal Sawns videos here on youtube, and The Presence Process by Michael Brown (this is a hardcore 8 week practice and would be fitted to people who like to dedicate themselves or stick to plans) Julien mentioned dr hawkins in the vid too Much love to Julien. Thank you brother.
This is Julien's best video and something that everyone getting into pickup needs to watch beforehand and fully understand. Humans in general should learn this shit. But like Julien said, you can listen to him and think you "understand" it but really you don't unless you put in the work. Self-enquiry is the fastest, less bullshit, straight forward way towards this. High results, but it's intense. But if you're tired of being in hell every few days and feel like committing suicide so often like I used to then you'll put in the work. Because fuck that shit... Maybe like 6 months now that I have not been depressed.
I watched this a few years and it really didn't click with me until recently. I was chasing self improvement so hard until I got really physically sick. It ruined my relationship and nearly cost me my job. My life felt stagnant and I was in a deep depression. For years I was running away from all the negative feelings I had about myself and with the illness they all hit me like a tidal wave. I realized I needed to address these feelings and search for happiness in myself. Not in external goals or purpose. Now life feels better than it ever has before. I feel proud to be my authentic self and I am working toward to loving myself unconditionally.
Reminds me of Alan Watts "The goal of the teacher/"guru" is to no longer be able to trick the student into believing that the teacher has more to teach". The student already knows, the teacher just removes the illusion of ignorance.
This video changed my life. I can't thank you enough Julien. Its kinda funny, I didn't have to go through the subconscious work, I just kinda forced myself to be happy for a few days, smiling all the time and laughing at nothing and I have been residually happy ever since. Sounds ridiculous, and it is, but hey, whatever works :D
This video has not only changed my life, but the people in my relationships. I'm sure you get this a lot but you have no idea how thankful I am that you posted this.
At the end of this video during the breathing technique i felt so relieved i literally would've loved to hug you and cry on your shoulder tbh. Such a strong sense of hope and feeling that everything is going to be okay i don't think i have ever experienced to that extent. Much love and appreciation Julien, thank you.
Shit, I've know for awhile that my approach to my life and the goals in my life was wrong, I just didn't understand in what way. Julian, you perfectly summed it up. My focus needs to shift from "what do I need to do to get happier", to "what do I need to remove in order to experience what is already there". Man after I watched this, I started meditating right after and I got that gimps of what that actually feels like. It there, Its fucking there, and it has been the whole time. My whole journey has changed today. My desire for change has been from a place of pain, always. A desire to escape. Im tired of it, its like you said. trying to count to infinity, fucking impossible. Thanks for the content man. You never know who its going to affect, but it did for me.
Hey Julien, The point that hit me the most was: that you don't need to understand but to know the things. That things point you in your direction. So Long I have been studying, grinding, reading books, working hard and somewhere along the way I lost myself. Because I did so much to get my goal I forgot what my goal was about. In these days I have realized that I need to connect back to myself and let go of learning for a while. All in all, thank you for sharing, you are a great mentor!
This video made me cry out of happiness. It made me feel such a huge relief. Thank you Julien for giving this value too me and all the other thousands of people who learned from this. You are a true inspiration. Thank you!!!!
"So: first you familiarise yourself with the view. Then, second, you internalise the view through experience. Third, you prepare to ‘catch yourself out’ in the act of conforming to pre-set emotional patterns. Fourth, you stare into the face of the arising emotion. "This is by no means an instant cure, but it is an immediately effective method. Failure is axiomatic when it comes to attempting what is usually thought of as impossible; but so is success - right from the beginning. "Every time you try to stare into the face of an arising emotion, you confirm yourself in the practice of cutting through conditioning. Even wanting to start is success. Even a first failed attempt is success; because, in a very real sense, there is no such thing as a bad meditation session. We learn something, as long as we remain open to learning. So this must be our attitude if this practice is to make any difference to our lives. We are bound both to fail and to succeed many times; rather like the salmon that have to leap up waterfalls to reach their spawning grounds. Trying to change a lifetime of internal and external conditioning is a difficult task, but not an impossible one. However, your journey can be a little more joyous than the salmon’s! If you begin to practise you will experience a difference in your life. The ultimate goal is always both very close and very distant; and when one day you come to realise that the path is the goal, the concepts of failure and success will no longer have any meaning. "Those who have experience of meditation may find this method easier than those who have never attempted it before. But whatever your level of experience, the existence of painful emotions is a spur to practice. This is especially the case if perception of cyclic patterns allows disenchantment with the habits of duality. Everyone has their own individual capacity, and there is no saying whether people who have sat in practice over a period of time will excel over fresh practitioners confronting their emotions directly for the first time. Motivation is absolutely necessary. Without the firm decision to embrace emotions as the path, even those who have vast meditative experience will not succeed. "It is sad to reflect on the number of people ostensibly engaged in spiritual practice, compared to the number of people who are prepared to work on themselves as they actually are in an everyday setting." Chogyam, Ngakpa. Spectrum of Ecstasy (pp. 241-243). Shambhala. Kindle Edition.
You made a really fucking good video here, Julien. This is why I subscribed in the first place. You added genuine value to our lives and proved that the media scandal helped you more than it hurt. Keep growing and teaching
Holy shit how did I ever stop listening to this man. This is literally some of the most profound, real shit you will ever hear. I legitimately shed tears of happiness listening to this lecture. Thank you Julian!
Longest period of time I've been constantly happy was probably a week. I spent a week volunteering at a camp and it was soo peaceful cause i just talked with friends and i didnt even go on my phone all week. Then i came home and it was back to this sociological default format of happiness which is brought about through the ego
I have learned to be able to be happy alone. But it's made me forget how to have real interactions. But when I am around people I love, and we share love and vulnerability; I feel much happier 🙂
This is a great video Julien 👍👍🙌🙌👏👏 It truly shows how you studied (and learnt) a lot and became a an expert of soul, which is an amazing subject to sink and investigating into. I' ve been in a similar path where I' ve been spent the last 3 years and more reading a lot about soul, anxiety, confidence etc.. I disagree on a couple points though. First regarding Eckhart Tolle teaching... In his "The Power of Now" he teaches that you have to focus on the present moment ALL THE TIME, so not that you only focus on the present moment during meditation AND then when this is over you re back to your usual problems (anxious thoughts, stressful thoughts etc etc). In his teaching he uses a pretty straight and drastic approach, he says the PAST HAS TO BE DEAD EVERY MOMENT, IT IS USELESS, YOU DO NOT NEED IT, ONLY USE IT WHEN IS ABSOLUTELY NEEDED (like when you re at work). As for many.. meditation is the way.. It takes out the emotional charge from the thoughts, it weakens the thoughts (my best definition of meditation) >> SO therefore you automatically become more and more present, but not only during meditation but also during your normal daily activity. Like magic your useless, sticky thoughts become more weaker. Second point, he also, similarly to you, says that you have to abandon yourself to the emotion: do not fight it, do not label it, do not judge it... just surrender to it, feel it. THEN it goes away by itself. The only difference is that you do not need to go and dig deep inside yourself and try to find what is really causing these negative emotions. This would mean going back in the PAST and try to find out what is going on, BUT the PAST HAS to BE DEAD... there is no need to go and see what s going on there. IF the emotions comes just realize that the EMOTION IS NOT YOU and feel it, abandon yourself to it and that s it. Plus, personal opinion, I would be a bit caution to ask people to dig into your personal trauma or better (as Joe Dispenza would says) "OPEN THE BOX" because you might get an unexpected reaction, you never know. Would love to hear your reply and view on this..✌👍👍 Julien, your content is amazing ... your "Stop being cool" is a spot-on issue showing that you re really someone who knows what is talking about. Not many around. Stay strong my friend 💪💪
He's caught on to ideas in Buddhism, Mindfulness, Spirituality and so on. This is what they talk about..? How to undo the self talk, the self induced suffering?
Saw this live in Vegas and it was superb. Julien has gone through hell with the media scandal but I'm happy he's taken his experience and become a better, happier man for it. The strength of character it must have taken to view that whole episode as a learning experience and take the positives from it must have been immense. I chatted with him outside afterwards and I said he's got a great energy about him now, much better than the pre-scandal days. It's strange to say but the scandal may have been the best thing for him! Big respect Julien and keep up the good work. Ps he was a really good bloke just to have a chat with too.... Reaffirms my belief in the RSD brand when the instructors are great guys off camera too!
This change my perspective that I've build up for the pass 4 months... I thought I was at the right direction but I was chains validation & not the true happiness inside of me for 24/7 Thank you Julien, much love from a kid behind the screen who lives in Southern California
Julien man there's a long journey ahead of me, jesus christ this video blew my mind. As I'm writing this I feel shivers going trough my body, and that happens so rarely. Thank you for showing me the way, really amazing, no words to describe this stuff. I shared it with all of my friends, I hope they're going to benefit from it as much as I did just by watching, and beyond.
Every new born child is happy. And when we start to grow up our parents, our teachers in our kindergaten, in our schools, in our work start comparing us to others, and say stuff like: You are not good enough, your friend Joe has A and you don't or You shloud have more money, you should have kids etc.. The moment we start to detach ourselfs from this kind of thinking we may be one step closer to be happy! :). Peace Julien great video!
Julien is being able to find truths many people are happy to learn. When the world discovers his dedication is giving good fruits that shall substitute his older reputation to so many. Anyways... Keep searching Julien. ""Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you."
Julien, make a guided meditation! A lot of people resonate with you. Most of these guided meditations on UA-cam don't work for me but when I listen to your video on how to let go and do the exercise with you, it actually works. You keep it simple, you know what you're talking about, and it overall just feels right.
It’s insane how even meditation can be a form of distraction. The only true way to be happy is to 100% love yourself and in order to do that you need to go through hell before you can get to the finish line. By hell, I mean spending time by yourself with absolutely no distractions and allowing all of those deep subconscious negative thoughts to come to you. In that moment, you don’t run, you don’t find something for temporary joy, you don’t give it an emotional response.. you simply just embrace it. Embrace the fact that you’re not your thoughts. Everything you tell yourself to cover up your insecurities is just your ego. If you can handle that pain and don’t let it control you, you’ll realize it was worth it in the end. It will slowly start to lose its power over you and you’ll learn to love yourself again. The feeling of “being free” is real. You have to let go. To whoever reading this, don’t give up on your dream, you’re not alone. Unbelievable video by Julien
Julien, my love. MEN AROUND THE WORLD NEED IT!!! THEY NEED TO LEARN THAT IT'S OK TO CONNECT WITH THEIR INNER PAIN AND EMOTIONS, IT'S OK TO GET THERE, GO EMOTIONAL, SCREAM, CRY, WHATEVER THEY FEEL. AS THE MAN IS ALSO HUMAN, LIKE WOMAN. THEY BREATH, THEY FEEL, THEY HAVE ORGANS IN THEIR BODY LIKE HEART, THEY FEEL PAIN. NO DIFFERENCE!!! THE DIFFRENCE IS JUST THAT RESISTANCE BASED ON EGO MADE BY THE SYSTEMS AROUND US THAT HAVE BEEN MANIPULATING US FOR THOUSANDS YEARS. AND YOU - EVERY MAN, HAVE STILL BALLS AFTER DOING THAT INNER STUFF, EVEN MORE CAUSE YOU ARE BRAVE ENOUGH TO DO THAT, TO BE A REAL HUMAN! BRAVO YOU, PEACE AND LOVE TO YOU MAN!!!❤💪💯💣 And you have aknowgledged all of these that you can now teach others, by going through all that sh*t, so this fact makes that sh*tty events a valuable for all of us, remember that!!!
Before you get to the state of happiness you have to go through the emotion of happiness Like we all watch this because we want to be happy, well we’re dependent on the lesson julien teaches to reach the state of happiness So the emotion of happiness isn’t bad, it’s just immature, like a teen growing into adulthood
Always come back to this video when I need a kick up the arse. This is the best shit I have ever seen, literally.... This video blows every other single video done by a PUA out of the water
JulienHimself Truth is a pathless land Great work respectively or non work 😊Julien Ps You shine because you don't care about shining Thanks For sharing all your experience
I love it Julien. I've been rationalizing my purpose being what gives me happiness, but on the other side of the spectrum, if we all sat around being happy, we wouldn't get anything done as a society. Understanding the inner voice or ego is about balance. It pushes you to achieve, but we should balance it with knowing we are enough. Well done though bro. Great work
I just found this post and I started the process just tonight and I made a huge breakthrough and I understand so much in just one session of working with myself. I watch Julien's stuff all of the time and it has changed my life. I am becoming more of my authentic self. I'm eternally grateful and so glad I understand what I do and that I can use this information to becoming a better me. Thank you Julien for this wonderful information you are giving to others. It's amazing how much it has changed my life! One day when I can afford one on one time with you as my coach I will definitely be doing that because this stuff is amazing when you apply it! Thank you again!!
the awareness of anything will destroy it, the awareness is key, great lecture, as soon as we bring awareness to anything it is step#1, but it is 50% of the battle
The key is to no longer ignore every aspect of the self, we ignore, the thoughts, emotions, feelings, we deny ourselves the awareness to the Subconscious... When awareness comes through Questioning, Why then we can get to the root, but only when we are willing to go into that awareness with Love, we all want Happiness b/c We only want to be Loved. "Lack" of love is the root cause. That Love has to come from within first, we lack love for ourselves so we revert to getting it in our external world. Loving ourselves is not "Selfish", it is being your own best friend coming from a space of I will not deny you or Hide anything/experiences that might bring suffering, for the Ego is like an Over Protective Parent/a copy of who our Parents are so it thinks/programmed to think it's doing you justice but it needs to Expand(As in Rising into a Higher Perspective not expand as in building off of the old foundation from once it was building off of, the expansion can be assisted through the perspective of the Highest Self) itself, and We have to let All of the Self expand together as one family, only then integration and release can occur. It's not about Picking one aspect of Self to take Control but allowing All Aspects to have a chance to be heard/expressed. Good points, much love.
24:35 - In my mind that went: "Mystery was the first teacher, don't let him be the last" All kidding aside, awesome content Julien. One of you finest! Also love the analogy that the "journey" is a straight line walking toward the horizon while getting rid of all the blocks, instead of everyone always people saying it's like climbing a steep mountain.
Another huge spiritual practice regarding cultivating happiness is detachment. I mean as long as we're here we have to be doing something with our time, bodies and lives . Shouldn't it be something that we're really interested in? If we can effectively pursue our interest , especially if said interest benefit our fellow humans, and not be attached to the outcome, we're golden. It also really helps to realize that you're not your ego identity and if you suddenly dropped dead it would "probably" be like waking up from a dream in the real reality.
after watching all the videos in the happiness series and applying what was said, a few days later I felt more true happiness than I had in the last few years. thank you so much Julian!
I used to do the sensory deprivation tank and never once did I experience any type of “hell”…just pure peace and actually would go a lot because I could organize my thoughts. Sort out my issues with no distractions. Every answer seems so clear in there. Don’t let how he described it scare you. I highly highly recommend it. I don’t suggest doing 2 hours your first time tho. Maybe that’s where he went wrong. Do an hour if you can
Happiness is not a goal. It is a condition. Select appropriate goals, work to achieve them. Even then happiness is evasive or fleeting for some personalities.
Feeling happy is not what want ! Listen to it again. It's finding being happy that happiness is much more then a feeling. You can't think it ! 🤔 It's being it by Letting go ! When you look at the issue or issues. You start to laugh at how you looked at it ! Listen to Julien again . Look for what I just commented in what he said ! Explore it !
the journey of returning back to God... (aka our creator) > yes. we have a creator. > the quicker that's *realized* the quicker you/we find *true* peace. its the tale as old as time itself 👍
I've recently had a "satori" experience but i'm not sure what to call it. It was 3 days ago, I was feeling overwhelmed emotionally with everything and I said I can't live like this anymore, I just felt so emotionally trapped and boxed in and what I started doing was breathing to let out all that negative toxic sludge. I still feel like I have to continue doing it but I've realized from what Julien is saying is that happiness comes internally and once it does you feel inspiration come up to go and do things from an inspiration type of frame versus before I would feel bad internally and I would do things because I felt like they were the right things to do but I would necessarily not stick with them. What I am saying is that I feel much better and sooo optimistic about the future ! Good luck!
now that i have re-thought all this a day after i've watched the video, i feel like you're talking about conditional happyness again. don;t get me wrong, i liked a lot of what's been said here. i even meditated the evening after i watched the video and the morning after just diving into those unpleasant moments i know i've been through and experienced them with acceptance. that was cool. it felt relieving. at the same time it's like you're saying "i'll be happy, once i get rid of all that negative mass i've collected in my subconscious mind". living that way is kinda like driving a car forward but only looking in the rear view mirror. again, it's "i'll be happy, if/when..." whatever condition. i know i'm up here, but i think i'm down there and i'll get back up only when i throw all the garbage, so to speak. correct me if i'm wrong, but that's how it seems to me. i just don't feel right about it. and i feel like happyness is a choice. it's an internal thing based solely on my decision to be it. i also watched the video with teal swan on shadow work and the word "why" got into my attention. instead of asking myself "why is this happening to me", i'd rather choose for myself why it is happening. and also, if i choose to move into the light, i'd rather move in to the light, rather than dive into the darkness. respect for you bro. it ain't hard to tell you've grown and expanded a lot along your journey so far. i'm all about a discussion here so i'd love to know what you think about what i'm suggesting. peace : )
Julian, where you said you went through that thing and lost it all to make you get a glimpse of where you needed to go. I had that experience too. It's so true you go back but at least you know where you need to go now.
This is so simple and powerful! Just after a few times working on this, my baseline level of peacefulness increased by a lot and stayed there. Many thanks Julien!
6 months ago I did a lot of Ayahuasca in Peru one night and I thought I went crazy. since then I've pieced a lot of my experience but this video just explained my whole experience. I got so scared and depressed for weeks after because I resisted going into the pain of that experience while I was on it. it felt like I was dieing when I went I to the pain. then I became aware of how I use dirty sex to further myself away from this repressed state/belief/whatever. you don't know how grateful I am that you made this video. thank you
After watching this, I think the hard part for me is separating the belief I have on one hand of always wanting to get better at things outside of myself like my goals, but then on the other hand realizing that true happiness can only come right now. It's hard to explain, but hope that makes sense.
"choiceless awarness" its an answer for your problems :) its a state when you are doing things beacause you are happy, not beacause you want to be happy, and the feeling that you are taking right action beacause you dont have a choice to not to do it instead of forcing yourself to do it. Great podcast about it soundcloud.com/athenepodcast
Julien rediscovered Stoicism from first principles, good stuff :) Consistently letting go is at the core of it. Seneca "meditated" (not the modern meaning) on losing all he had, and spent a day per year or so in deprivation of all luxuries to remind himself that all he has are not essential to who he is. Touching base with his core identity, striping out all the ornaments around it.
Thank you so much Julien, this is by far the best video on personal work I have ever seen. Making this available for everybody to see is awesome. Thank you for this gift dude!
its so crazy cause when you really geht the "process to function" you know it's the right thing cause you then feel what he is talking about all the time! That feeling after like emotionally letting go is so calming or somewhat i can't even describe it, thank you very much Julien Blanc!
I watched this video a few weeks ago, didn't really had a chance to think about it, but yesterday I got a huge rush of unexplained anger and sadness coming up inside me. I though about trying the technique he shows in this video. I spent like five hours in my bed living crazy anger, the more I was feeling it the more came up!! This experience was hard to live, but I am glad I went through it, I feel a little bit lighter today. Now I want to rewatch the whole video to try to understand it with a different point of view! Thank you for this video Julien!! :D
This video seriously altered fucking history I'm my life. For anyone who is reading this comment the key to letting go is to just fucking feel the pain and discomfort and be OK with it. You will know exactly what to do so stop fucking putting it away and burying that shit. Once you do that you will realize that literally everything is going to be fine. AND YOU FINALLY LET GO AND IT'S FUCKING AMAZING!
Lessons that I had learned - When you have happiness with the Capital H that Julien is talking about, you will stop needing things to complete you. But it doesn't mean that when you drop it, you won't achieve the fucking good things that you once "needed" in life. You just try to achieve it from another place, and that place is abundance. In abundance, you are complete, and you will be in a bliss, you will have inner peace, you will realize that everything external is irrelevant and useless because you are already complete. But for instance, in your completeness, you realize that you still want to pursue those things, you do it for the sake of inner fulfillment like love, inner peace, or some other reason but not for the sake of completing what's lacking in you like how you always did it because again, you are already complete, why would you even fill a lack if you are already complete? It's like a cup that is full, but when you do the thing that you want to do, you don't need to fill the cup anymore because it's not empty, but when you do the thing that you want to do, the cup just overflows (abundance). You don't need it, that's why at the same time you tend to excel in the thing that you want to do too. It's counterproductive. The journey is not getting the "insert thing that you want to achieve here" and needing it, the journey is realizing that you are already there but we were just socially conditioned that's why there are barriers that are preventing us from getting there. Letting go of all those barriers will lead you to the Hapiness that Julien is talking about. But it's not an easy road again, because those barriers had been with you ever since your subconscious mind had been awakened, and you can't bullshit your subconscious.
OMG! that's life changing staff right here! A BIG THANKS to all RSD team! I sincerely love you guys. I am gonna do mindfulness meditation right now! I am gonna try and eradicate my subconscious limiting beliefs about my weight loss! Julien thank you. And all this for free... THANK YOU!
Julien you explained it to the best level of intellectual which shows you reminded me the teachings of Buddha keep it up !!! You're man of Good Thoughts !!!
I will rather be at peace than happy all the time. I think when you embrace every emotion as a human being that you are, then you can get peace / happiness. Even if you accept you are sad you can be at peace, happy with that. In my humble opinion!
Hey there julien, my name is Jose Pinhal and i really like they way and the capacity you have to understand the human nature! When i watch your videos I feel like everyone as potential but we are only blind sometimes. Keep up with the good work. Cheers
Default mode happiness this is one of the most powerful things i have ever tried to reinforce and the thing that most help me in life overall. THANK YOU JULIEN!
that is very inspiring, but my default is actually being happy, i'm happy 24/7, i never feel sad, depressed, or angry, and i have no idea how this started but i'm thankful for it XD
Meditations based on the acceptance of the present moment as it is, are the best answer to this, fellows. And I particularly recommend Vipassana meditation (you learn it in 10 day very silent retreats). It's what has helped me (and still helps me) the most in my life. I wish everyone give themselves the chance to try at least one full 10 day course. 🙏🏼💛
Thank you Julien. I have been following game for decade and I have been putting my energy on the wrong things. Focusing in on the things I have been trying to avoid has been a perspective I haven't adopted yet. Even with therapy I have been unwilling to go there. Talk is cheap doing the work is the most difficult thing. Thanks for putting it this way. Hearing that people who are doing well are still struggling was supprising helpful. It never goes away but the way you deal with it is how you change. :)
Even for temporary happiness, it's not something that comes when your reasons to be unhappy disappear. Reasons to be unhappy will always be there for you. But the same is true for reasons to be temporary happy. It's about training your mind to focus on them. It feels strange at first, but then your mind changes, and it's like your whole life has changed, even if it is literally the same.
Thanks so much Julien. This is the best video ever. Thank you for so much honesty. I finally understand what happiness is. For all my years Ive been chasing and chasing but never happy. Now it finally hit me. Happiness begins inside of you...
Do it from a place of abundance - I take that to mean "Let your work/words/life be a shining example of the genius/light/love within you and your hard work? "
This is fking amazing LOL, first day after being enlightened I can already feel myself being more ecstatic and in tune with the present. Thanks for providing this on youtube as a free and universal resource :D
You are kinda right and I wonder how to break out of this? Like before I got promoted I was like "Once I got promoted into this senior position I will be super happy and chill." Now I am in this position and there is still this feeling of wanting more. And I think my whole social circle is like that. That's the reason why successful people party hard and get drunk because it's the only time they can fucking relax.
I like that. I feel like especially our generation is very much dominated by "hustling". It's almost like we don't even know anymore how to enjoy life, because there is always more on the horizon that we want to achieve. Always a new mountain to climb.
HAHAH. At the cafeteria at work yesterday, this oil & gas guy was talking to a colleague about how he was suffering having a home on the East coast, West coast & Florida, but wanted to live in the South because of the cost of living. First thought I had, "Humblebrag, much?" I'm sure the other guy he was talking to was probably renting.

That will lead you to a better life
Yep! However "feeling happy" is not the state of lasting Happiness that I'm referring to here... Watch the vid! ;)
disagree

some of your aspects are true , but most peoples social circles consist of pure fictional friends.
Pr0t3gy15 giving yourself permission to be happy is quite a new concept for me. Damn
I've been saying this forever! I love this talk! People consistently ask me "Why are you so happy?" and I'm like "Dude why are you NOT?" Happiness is the norm.
Teach me
I can guarantee you that if you’re running just a little bit outside of your house for 5-10 minutes everyday, doing MINDFUL meditation, try to force yourself to be greatfull at things, setting challenges for yourself like “before this day ends, I will go for that run!” And doing it even if it rains outside.

And the Manifesto
This was slick Julien. I just lied down in a park and listened to the whole manifesto. Legend
Axel Schultz youre an idiot buddy

Hawkins'
two other sources for practice and understanding are Teal Sawns videos here on youtube, and The Presence Process by Michael Brown (this is a hardcore 8 week practice and would be fitted to people who like to dedicate themselves or stick to plans)
Julien mentioned dr hawkins in the vid too
Much love to Julien. Thank you brother.
mindandmagick has a good channel as well
thx for the advice man
Anymore info to share bro?
Thanks brother
Love this comment, you putd in to words what i never could do!
I will take on the challenge as i have a clinical depression. If this works, I owe you my new life, Julien.
Wish you the best brother. Stay strong
It was hard to start but the second you dive deep into those events you come out feeling amazing.
You've already done this? Awesome. Any starting tips?
+Dylan Mogl I used Headspace last year. Did 150 days straight :) Stopped it eventually. maybe I shd do it again, without an app this time though.

Julien is my fucking savior 🙌
I watched this a few years and it really didn't click with me until recently. I was chasing self improvement so hard until I got really physically sick.
It ruined my relationship and nearly cost me my job. My life felt stagnant and I was in a deep depression. For years I was running away from all the negative feelings I had about myself and with the illness they all hit me like a tidal wave. I realized I needed to address these feelings and search for happiness in myself. Not in external goals or purpose.
Now life feels better than it ever has before. I feel proud to be my authentic self and I am working toward to loving myself unconditionally.
How did you do it? How are you doing now, Jin?
Reminds me of Alan Watts "The goal of the teacher/"guru" is to no longer be able to trick the student into believing that the teacher has more to teach". The student already knows, the teacher just removes the illusion of ignorance.
This video changed my life.
I can't thank you enough Julien.
Its kinda funny, I didn't have to go through the subconscious work, I just kinda forced myself to be happy for a few days, smiling all the time and laughing at nothing and I have been residually happy ever since. Sounds ridiculous, and it is, but hey, whatever works :D

Such a strong sense of hope and feeling that everything is going to be okay i don't think i have ever experienced to that extent. Much love and appreciation Julien, thank you.
wow. buy power of now by echart tolle
Hey Julien,
The point that hit me the most was: that you don't need to understand but to know the things.
"It is sad to reflect on the number of people ostensibly engaged in spiritual practice, compared to the number of people who are prepared to work on themselves as they actually are in an everyday setting."

You made a really fucking good video here, Julien. This is why I subscribed in the first place. You added genuine value to our lives and proved that the media scandal helped you more than it hurt. Keep growing and teaching
Thank you! :)
Everyone needs to hear this. I've been stuck in the paradigm for years and has led to drinking problems and a whole slew of issues.
Would love to hear your reply and view on this..✌👍👍
Julien, your content is amazing ... your "Stop being cool" is a spot-on issue showing that you re really someone who knows what is talking about. Not many around.
Stay strong my friend 💪💪
Honestly this is the best video I've ever seen. This is extremely helpful, thank you Julien :)
He's caught on to ideas in Buddhism, Mindfulness, Spirituality and so on. This is what they talk about..? How to undo the self talk, the self induced suffering?
Is it still the best video you’ve ever seen? If NO, please send us the link of the “new” best. Cheers 👏😁
I thought I was at the right direction but I was chains validation & not the true happiness inside of me for 24/7
Thank you Julien, much love from a kid behind the screen who lives in Southern California

I didn't know about you until that media scandal, then I checked you out to see if you were actually that bad. I've been subscribed ever since :D

Julien is being able to find truths many people are happy to learn. When the world discovers his dedication is giving good fruits that shall substitute his older reputation to so many. Anyways... Keep searching Julien. ""Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you."
ye old julien quote: any attention is good attention lol
Thank you brother
Before you get to the state of happiness you have to go through the emotion of happiness
Like we all watch this because we want to be happy, well we’re dependent on the lesson julien teaches to reach the state of happiness
So the emotion of happiness isn’t bad, it’s just immature, like a teen growing into adulthood
Always come back to this video when I need a kick up the arse. This is the best shit I have ever seen, literally.... This video blows every other single video done by a PUA out of the water
Thanks! PS: Wait until you see what's coming in Transformation Mastery! ;) ---> julienhimself.com/transformation-mastery/
Will be sure to check it out brother

Truth is a pathless land
Great work respectively or non work 😊Julien
Ps
You shine because you don't care about shining
Thanks For sharing all your experience
You will always have sad thoughts in your life, it will never end. Being able to deal and grow with them it's the skill to aim for.
Thanks man you've improved my life. I'm slowly but surely letting go of my childhood trauma😊.which has been tormenting me for the past 5 years.
the awareness of anything will destroy it, the awareness is key, great lecture, as soon as we bring awareness to anything it is step#1, but it is 50% of the battle
I have almost made peace with my dad because of this video, thank you.
24:35 - In my mind that went: "Mystery was the first teacher, don't let him be the last"
All kidding aside, awesome content Julien.
Do an hour if you can
Yes, regardless of your experience, sensory deprivation tanks are amazing and I HIGHLY recommend trying it out! 👌
It's being it by Letting go !
When you look at the issue or issues.
You start to laugh at how you looked at it !
Listen to Julien again .
Look for what I just commented in what he said ! Explore it !
the journey of returning back to God... (aka our creator)
> yes. we have a creator.
> the quicker that's *realized* the quicker you/we find *true* peace.
its the tale as old as time itself 👍
This man shares his stressful life with these innocent people, but happiness is just follow what your god wants from you
It's like super clear explonation of Echart Tolle / Buddism... And most important paradigm one can stumble upon.
Crazy mind-blowing
Glad this was so helpful! 🙏
Good luck!
Used to think dude was an ass clown but this shit blew my mind and was very well executed.
now that i have re-thought all this a day after i've watched the video, i feel like you're talking about conditional happyness again. don;t get me wrong, i liked a lot of what's been said here. i even meditated the evening after i watched the video and the morning after just diving into those unpleasant moments i know i've been through and experienced them with acceptance. that was cool. it felt relieving. at the same time it's like you're saying "i'll be happy, once i get rid of all that negative mass i've collected in my subconscious mind". living that way is kinda like driving a car forward but only looking in the rear view mirror. again, it's "i'll be happy, if/when..." whatever condition. i know i'm up here, but i think i'm down there and i'll get back up only when i throw all the garbage, so to speak. correct me if i'm wrong, but that's how it seems to me. i just don't feel right about it. and i feel like happyness is a choice. it's an internal thing based solely on my decision to be it. i also watched the video with teal swan on shadow work and the word "why" got into my attention. instead of asking myself "why is this happening to me", i'd rather choose for myself why it is happening. and also, if i choose to move into the light, i'd rather move in to the light, rather than dive into the darkness. respect for you bro. it ain't hard to tell you've grown and expanded a lot along your journey so far. i'm all about a discussion here so i'd love to know what you think about what i'm suggesting. peace : )
Julian, where you said you went through that thing and lost it all to make you get a glimpse of where you needed to go. I had that experience too. It's so true you go back but at least you know where you need to go now.
I love this it never gets old. If your happiness depends on the external then it is not true happiness
That feeling after like emotionally letting go is so calming or somewhat i can't even describe it, thank you very much Julien Blanc!
this video is gold. life changing advice. must see for those trying to understand definition of happiness. awesome content mate
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! Check out part 2 here: ua-cam.com/video/uk1Z2rmEMaY/v-deo.html 🙏
Julien this is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lessons that I had learned -
When you have happiness with the Capital H that Julien is talking about, you will stop needing things to complete you.
THANK YOU!
From all I have studied regarding self-development I can say this is solid staff
Julien has grown so much spiritually...best video ever
Witnessing the return of Christ Consciousness. Beautiful to watch.
(Julien's story) "How did you do that?" And I would tell them, "just be cool." -- yooo, sharing from the heart. Thanks!
that is very inspiring, but my default is actually being happy, i'm happy 24/7, i never feel sad, depressed, or angry, and i have no idea how this started but i'm thankful for it XD
Julien, you're a wonderful person who is deeply impacting many people's lives. Thanks you for that, I hope you realize that happiness we all have
Even for temporary happiness, it's not something that comes when your reasons to be unhappy disappear. Reasons to be unhappy will always be there for you. But the same is true for reasons to be temporary happy. It's about training your mind to focus on them. It feels strange at first, but then your mind changes, and it's like your whole life has changed, even if it is literally the same.
adyashanti is the best teacher that teaches to deconstruct the mind
Thanks so much Julien. This is the best video ever. Thank you for so much honesty. I finally understand what happiness is. For all my years Ive been chasing and chasing but never happy. Now it finally hit me. Happiness begins inside of you...
Easily the best you've ever done and the most poignant advice I've ever heard. Thank you Julien!
I cried, this really hit home man i just realised i have some deep issues inside of me i need to fix
Do it from a place of abundance - I take that to mean "Let your work/words/life be a shining example of the genius/light/love within you and your hard work? "
One of THE most insightful things I've heard in all my years of studying self development.
This is the best video you've put out so far Julien (maybe even by RSD as a whole). Seriously, this is gold.
This is fking amazing LOL, first day after being enlightened I can already feel myself being more ecstatic and in tune with the present. Thanks for providing this on youtube as a free and universal resource :D
Yes, most people are on a happiness quest, not a truth quest.
