I have a 2018 RT188P with a Yamaha SHO 115. My boat is almost setup exactly like yours. Just a few different things, I have a 24V Minn Kota 80lb trolling motor, dual Garmin's on the dash. and my batteries are Optima's. I have dual console with a coin box storage. I have owed numerous fiberglass bass boats in my lifetime. I decided to purchase a RT188P because I was no longer fishing tournaments and I did not what spend a lot of money again for a new boat. My RT188P has proven itself over the years. I've ran this boat in 2 foot plus waves and handled it without any problems. This was my first tin boat and if I had to do it again, I would definitely purchase another RT188P or the RT198P. The most important thing, you can run and gun on the lake for two days without refueling. Enjoy your new boat, you will have fun with it.
Damn, that boat finish looks like a glass boat! That is a cadillac of boats! Too nice, too much $$$$! Thanks, MDJ! GOOD LUCK. this season will be watching for you on the tour!
Hi Mark, boat looks amazing. Enjoy it to the max. Have fun with family and friends. Stay safe and healthy. Can’t wait for the season to start. I can see wins in your future. God Bless!
I bought the RT188P 2023 and got it in November. I love the boat. It rides great. Has great fishing deck and storage as you mentioned. My 1 complaint is that the front seat is too close to the trolling motor pedal, so I bought an offset seat pole which gave me more space to operate the trolling motor comfortability.
Great video. I bought a RT188 in 2017. Camo and no carpet. I love mine I have put same equipment on mine except the power poles. I’ve thought about buying a new one but can’t let this one go because I’ve had 0 issues with the boat. Good idea getting with the tandem axle trailer. I wish mine was. You’re going to really like your boat. Good luck
I got mine last May. Took all summer to get the power system figured out. I should have got the blades. Four 12 inch helix. Mega live and target lock. Love it
Thanks man I was between this and a crestliner . And I think I'll go with the ranger . I love that boat plug that's awesome. Great rig . I pick you for fantasy fishing man . Get to it my guy nhave a great season.
Great Boat Daniels! I too have an aluminum boat, so many advantages!! I Really like the trailer ladder! Looking forward to seeing you do well this year sir!
That's a dope boat. Hopefully get to run into you on Middle Pond, Tuskegee Lake or on the creek soon. May have to convince you to come down on the Tallapoosa river when the Hybrids and Stripers start running to do a little bank fishing. The action can be lights out
Awesome video. I have the same boat, with long term plans to do most of what you have done to yours. I have no need for livescope, but the rest is what I want to do.
Awesome Rig breakdown! I have the 198P and I love it. I do wish I could go faster but that’s not a big deal. Can’t wait to see an update in a few months.
@@casey10614 There are a few factors that have to be in play to get the highest speed but I average between 52-55 but majority of the time it’s around 52ish
I love my 198p, I have also owned the 188. My only issue is both boats are under powered. This is because Ranger wants you to step up to the more expensive glass boats.
Definitely a slick rig! I have a question on your house battery. You said it's an AGM? Is there a reason not to go lithium on the house battery? I was thinking of swapping out to lithium the next time I replace mine.
One thing to beware of with those rangers mark, the latches on the consoles are horrible, can be easily broken into, saw it first hand on a friends rig. Doubt you’ll ever have it anywhere you’d have to worry about it but just wanted to give you a heads up. Stoked for the new year an can’t wait for the season to start, I’ll be rootin for you big dog!!
Can't wait to see u get in the skinny water and pull in some toads Love the boat been thinking about a smaller rig myself def. Going to keep this one in mind
Aluminum is the way to go..essentially if it’s for pleasure fishing. You can take it anywhere and not worry about cracking your hull. Personally think it’s a no brained yo but aluminum. It’s one thing if you’re on huge open waters all the time, but for mist people that’s not the case
Since Dustin got one, and now you got one, are we gonna see a aluminum tournament???? You just need wheeler to get one now and you guys could make your own league!
Love the rig but that garage is freaking amazing MDJ..quick question..I noticed you went with X2 100ah on the lithium trolling batteries. Can you tell me why those vs Dakota or Ionic 50ah LB? Also no LB for the cranking or electronics. I’m curious because I’m considering buying LB right now for my entire boat.
Have you tried fitting rods in the left locker? I own the same exact boat and wanted to run tackle in the center locker and rods in the left. However, it seems I can only fit rods less than 7' in the left locker so I'm currently running the rods in the center. Curious to know if yours is the same. Thanks and love your channel!
Awesome rig Mark. How often do you use your power poles ? Would you recommend them for a weekend warrior? Thanks for the content, looked like you had some success in Florida a few weeks ago..?
Once you have them you'll never not want to have them again. I use them all the time, if for nothing else then to aid in launching and take out. If you fish shallow then you'll always find time to use them.
Sweet but really impressed with a garage big enough for 2 boats and your tow vehicle 😎
😂 right, I am like damn I want can lights in my house😂.
Beautiful rig !! Time to get some crappie slime on it !

Man, that's a clean setup 👌 . Can't wait to see you on the water putting in that work
Damn, that boat finish looks like a glass boat! That is a cadillac of boats! Too nice, too much $$$$! Thanks, MDJ! GOOD LUCK. this season will be watching for you on the tour!
Honestly there not bad compared to the rest
Awesome boat Marc. Looking forward to seeing some you - tube videos of you fishing out of it. Looking forward to watching your 2023 tournament season.
More to come!
That baby clean rite there, MDJ!
I love those rangers! Very nice MDJ, love the color as well. We welcome you and the NEW boat back to NC. LOL
Hi Mark, boat looks amazing. Enjoy it to the max. Have fun with family and friends. Stay safe and healthy. Can’t wait for the season to start. I can see wins in your future. God Bless!
New house new shoes new boats. I’m inspired!!!!

Great looking rig brother, look forward to see you fish out of it, and good luck with upcoming season!
Really nice setup. I love my Tracker Classic XL, and I know you're going to love yours. Good luck this year.
Ready for another banging season MDJ!!!! Great video can’t wait to see this boy in full action!!!!
Thanks man I was between this and a crestliner . And I think I'll go with the ranger . I love that boat plug that's awesome. Great rig . I pick you for fantasy fishing man . Get to it my guy nhave a great season.
ive got the RT198P set up very similar and i love it
Great Boat Daniels! I too have an aluminum boat, so many advantages!! I Really like the trailer ladder! Looking forward to seeing you do well this year sir!

Congratulations on your new rig. I hope you enjoy it & good luck this season.
That's a sharp boat...great set up...When we going for a ride
Great information thank you . I have been looking at the 178
You're gonna love that boat! I have the same boat in red and absolutely love it!! Bought mine last April.
Beautiful rig! Can wait to watch you win AOY this year.
Great looking boat 🚢 thanks for sharing 🎣 👍
Awesome video. I have the same boat, with long term plans to do most of what you have done to yours. I have no need for livescope, but the rest is what I want to do.
I have the same boat, without as many toys. Great job my man!
Awesome video MDJ. Best of luck this Tournament season
Seeet set up. Your garage is clean man. Love it
Leave it to Ranger to make an aluminum boat just like a glass .... Nice boat Mark good luck this year 👍
Awesome content look forward to what else you got coming! I miss my tin rig but my glass ranger rides like a Cadillac!!!!
Sweet rig.
Can’t wait to see you at Okeechobee
awesome rig man! thanks for showing it!
Loving the new boat, good luck this year!
Awesome tin rig!🔥🔥🔥
Nice rig! I fish multi-species on Lake Superior in a big boat, but would love that rig on the Mississippi River for bass and walleye
Definitely don’t want to take it out there lol
Very nice boat, like the setup you have.
Great video Mark. Congrats.
Nice ranger boat wow have a great tournament season also im always rooting for you let's go a get that win 🏆
Living the dream man
Love my 188P, perfect size, stable, and plenty fast enough for the average fisherman..
I hope to see you up at Martin in your new boat. I have a 4 year old 198P model.
Yessir I’ll be there for sure
Nice rig MDJ!!
Awesome Rig breakdown! I have the 198P and I love it. I do wish I could go faster but that’s not a big deal. Can’t wait to see an update in a few months.
Doesn’t that thing run 57mph. 😂
@@casey10614 There are a few factors that have to be in play to get the highest speed but I average between 52-55 but majority of the time it’s around 52ish
I agree with 52ish. Mine handles rough water really good.
Bad ass boat. Congrats.
Nice boat! What I want to see is it being used in a tournament, getting back into the backwater spots where big ones haven’t seen a lure in a minute
SWEET rig. I hope I can catch you sneaking into Falls or Jordan Lake lol
Don’t be surprised lol
I love my 198p, I have also owned the 188. My only issue is both boats are under powered. This is because Ranger wants you to step up to the more expensive glass boats.
Sick Rig MDJ. Love it dude. I love my Aluminum Tracker
I’m just trying get on that thing a ding something up catch a few yonder’s and couple belly shirts lol
Awesome rig!
Hi Mark, what is the exact GARMIN unit that you are running? Love the content!
Nice boat and nice job on the walk though
Definitely a slick rig! I have a question on your house battery. You said it's an AGM? Is there a reason not to go lithium on the house battery?
I was thinking of swapping out to lithium the next time I replace mine.
I have a lithium for starting and electronics so I was wondering the same thing.
Lithium is good too. They only make an AGM at the moment for cranking, plenty of power tho
You have the best freaking garage. Awesome
Thank you!
That’s one awesome boat.
Creek series in style 👊
Nice Rig Mark! I know DC aint gonna let you out do him. We gonna see this in the creek series?
Nice rig MDJ. Look me up when you come to NC, We can go to Bugs Island to catch some stripers..
Nice rig! When will you do a video of the man cave? Looks good so far!
Not sure yet, but at some point. Still getting strait
Damn Mark, you convinced me I want one!
Yessirrrr that thang clean bro 🔥🔥🔥
Sweet boat brother.
great lookin tin rig
Look at MDJ with the ride around on the Middle Pond. Like the boat man.
You know, keeping local lol
Can't wait to see u get in the skinny water and pull in some toads
Love the boat been thinking about a smaller rig myself def. Going to keep this one in mind

SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Mark, question which 12 inch Garmin do you use for live scope?
Good luck this year
Looks good bruh🤴🏾🔥💯
Since Dustin got one, and now you got one, are we gonna see a aluminum tournament???? You just need wheeler to get one now and you guys could make your own league!
We all got one lol great idea
That boats smaller than the tourney boat ??? I have a 90s 20'4" Mirage Bass boat & I thought that bad boy has real estate !!! Ha
Nice rig is it for sale at years end. And btw nice crib huge garage
When you popped that first compartment it brought that new boat smell to me 👃🏼ahhhhh
You smelled it too lol
I have a TXW 175 bass tracker with a single trailer. Do you know if they make a tandem axle trailer for bass trackers. Very nice boat and set up Mark…
Not 100% sure but you can alway upgrade trailers.
I highly recommend it from other guys on both tours. So far they have been 💯
Sweet tin rig!
12:28 huhhh? U leave the back end strapped down when launching?
Do you have problems with the compartments leaking when it rains
Have you tried fitting rods in the left locker? I own the same exact boat and wanted to run tackle in the center locker and rods in the left. However, it seems I can only fit rods less than 7' in the left locker so I'm currently running the rods in the center. Curious to know if yours is the same. Thanks and love your channel!
The exact same, I run my longer rods in the center hatch
We need to get it broke in, on the Middle pond soon!
I’ve been sneaking out there lol
I have to ask… what are the dimensions of your garage? I have serious garage size envy.
What’s the width of your garage doors?
What Garmin Units are you running on the bow and console. You mentioned the size but not the models. Btw, very cool boat.
Echo map ultras 106 and 1206
Yo Fam! That’s Clean! 🎉
What makes you go with 8' power poles vs 10?
Nice Row Boat
With all the belts and whistles how much does a rig like that cost I want one to start tournament fishing out of!!
Likely about 55k with all the add ons
Probably 50k or so
Can't wait to see you catch some biguns out of that
Clean...💯
Sweet boat,
Old man step heck ya and im 2 years younger then you lol
What you got on the box goose!😁
Nice Rig, When we going fishing??
Rate the bate wakebaits please sir?
Looks awesome! Why didn’t you go with 19 footer?
Just thought the 115 would be more efficient in its size and gas consumption. Other than that no reason lol
All the time my friend. Can’t have a rig without them
Great 188 I got the 178 in 18 solid boat
