I bet several of these or like these joined together would make a gorgeous club table or dining table. Or even kitchen counter top. But the amount of time and craftsmanship put into it... Man, you have my greatest respect!
Believe it or not, this video just popped onto my feed, and I'm glad it did. You sir are one hell of a craftsman . I enjoyed every minute of this performance that you put on, and am now a subscriber to your channel and I'm sure I'll enjoy watching what else you created. One of these days I'm gonna give this here a try. Good luck in life and stay safe.
Thank you, a very good quality UTube video, pleasant music; very relaxing to watch you do all this work! Watched beginning to end and expect to attempt this in the future. Lots of work, steps, sanding, gluing but end result is incredible and worth the effort. Just nice to see craftsmanship, humbleness, and a wonderful work effort. Thanks again for sharing, subscribed. Be safe in the workshop and surroundings.
Beautiful work, I’ve made a lot of cutting boards and everyone says they’re too nice to use but they look like firewood compared to these. Thanks for putting in the work!
i guess im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a way to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the login password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me.
@Hugo Cristiano thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Wow nice looking cutting board That was a lot of glue up and cuts. I hope your making really good money making those. I had one idea to bring just a little more bling to it, on the maple strips add a red color wood like cherry but reverse your spirel out pattern or 0 so if your eyes connect the dots you see a hidden pattern, now that's going to take a hell of a lot more work but it can be done prior to dealing with the spiral pattern its just a matter of lining things up.
Parabéns meu amigo o meu nome é José Nilson Balbino sou Brasileiro eu Admiro muito o seu trabalho eu acompanho todos seus trabalhos e foi muito admirado parabéns mais uma vez
When people see the completed boards, they do not see the work and effort that is put into making them. Great board and video, so well done. I noticed you were experiencing the glue joints slipping under clamping pressure. I sprinkle salt on my glue joints and it does stop them from slipping as you apply clamp pressure.
People are still enjoying your video, all these years later! Thanks! The recycler in me wonders what you did with all those walnut wedges that were leftover? :)
Greetings. very rarely do i get to see an absolutely brill video but I'm hooked on the music as well. 10/10 I'm a new subby so please can you tell me who the music is by. Merry xmas sir to you and all the family keep safe.
Looking at drum sanders, I see you have the Jet 16/32, you also have a very nice planer. I am upgrading my planer to cabinet style, is a drum sander still really necessary and if so do you recommend what you have or is there different model/brand to consider?
How long did you let your glue-ups dry before sawing the ends flush / doing the angle cuts? I usually let them dry overnight, which would make this project take weeks (which it may have). Honestly great work man!
Fantastic boards, just as a heads up running end grain through a planner is very dangerous. Eventually it binds and things get nasty. Speaking from experience I had one bind up about 1/4 way throught. Ended up breaking my hand and going through a cabinet when it got kicked out. I was told I was going to get bit one day didn't really believe it. I had done lots a boards, I learnt the hard way.
Not necessarily. Yes, care needs to be taken, such as making very shallow passes. I can get a little more aggressive since my planer is a 5hp with a spiral cutter head; virtually no noticeable difference between planning face or end grain. I used to have a small dewalt planer that I would use for endgrain planning and it definitely took a bit more careful consideration on depth of cut. Still to this day, I usually only plane about 1/64" each pass. Curious as to what you were planning that you said bound up and got kicked out.
I actually watched other folk's videos on making a crosscut sled, then added the guard later. I used shatter-resistant plexiglass and gave it enough width to cover my face when I'm close to it aligning cuts. It works really nice for when I need to adjust a cut while using shims on a piece and I need to lean in close to see the alignment while the saw is running.

Amazing work (the waste always hurts). Love your sled design.
brilliant and beautiful. In the world of quilting this design is called twisted log cabin. It is a lot easier producing this design in fabric

Nice job Reuben. Keep it up.
I'm sorry I sold my 20" planer...I've built a lot of Andrei's designs. He is amazing.
Absolutely magnificent! I'm still not exactly sure how you knew where to cut for the next space to create the rings/lines?
that festool sander is nice, and the cutting boards arent bad either =)
Love it!
Wow nice looking cutting board

Does the salt eventually dissolve or is it crushed?
@@misimiki It eventually dissolves after it has done it's job.
Great job! You earned yourself a new subscriber! :)
Thanks buddy!

The recycler in me wonders what you did with all those walnut wedges that were leftover? :)
As any woodworker knows, it went to the scrap shelf 🤣🤌
Que maravilla de trabajo y como lo disfrutas.💎👑💥💖💕❤💓👍✍️👀
Awesome job, meticulous work. looks like you have a lot of time invested in one board. was this for sale, gift or just to do?
Way too beautiful and well crafted to be a cutting board. Maybe for serving food or fruits?
Garage shop with sliding table saw. Awesome
привет. отличная работа. браво .но не хватает еще одного поворота как в оригенале у mtm.
sooo many glue ups!!! how many days did this take holy cow
Very cool. That took a lot of time.
top marks , job well done
Great music too
Nice work. Besides the maple strips what are the other wood(s) used in this project?
nice work, big huh from Portugal
Very good!!!!
Very amazing job. What kinds of wood are you using
Really Wonderful congratulation
Sweet sound track!
Amazing boards
I love it
Great work, was there a reason you didn’t use one of your angled off cuts to set the rest of your cuts in the sled?
Bravissimo!
great work
NICE!!!
nice work.
I enjoy your videos. Do you have plans available for any of your cutting boards?
Świetna robota
Sweet job

Looks amazing...great job. I understand it is super repetitive but if you talked a bit more it would make the video less daunting. Keep it up man

Beautiful
Lovely. The finish looks nice, but try roasted walnut oil, which has an incredible aroma and dries hard.

That would be awesome as a table.
Super, perfect
So beautiful
Excellent - great work.....man I hope those boards are getting $350 each!
Greg Kieser if only that were true!
Man, geniuses are rare nowadays, but once in a while one of them shows up.
This is Jedi master shit here. I am in awe sir !
I see how it is done. Nice to have great tools. Didnt say what kind of wood was used... or finishers.
Good work
Amazing
that music in the background is super intense
Music was relaxing. Peaceful. When I don't like the music on a video. I turn it down and put on my own
I really like the looks of the crosscut sled you are using. Especially the plexiglass top. Any videos or plans for making that?

Absolutely Beautiful 👍👍.. your hands were definitely blessed by God.
