I've had the fold 4 for 2 years and just pre ordered the fold 6. If I had the 5 I probably wouldn't upgrade. But I love the square edges🎉
It does look and feel better
I waited 7 months for this im dissappointed
now looking overseas
yea
Same feeling, brother
Fold4 1799€
Fold5 1899€
Fold6 1999€
you okay Samsung?
People complaining but buying
That why prices go up
@@tomislavbosnjak66 still rocking the 4, don't see anything worth upgrading for .
@tomislavbosnjak66 they aren't actually. Their Fold 5 sales have stagnated compared to Fold 4.
Inflation: am i a joke to you?
@@HABO2210 Yeah right
They wont you to believe that so you would buy Fold 6
Vivo x Fold 3 Pro, is still king of Foldable phone & less expensive, no doubt 👑
But no stylus support 🤦♂️ And OneUI is still the best for foldables
And pray that it even see full 6 months. In most parts of the world both phone costs exactly the same.
I can highly agree, the OneUi is a much better OS. If they would have assembled the phone like the Vivo, bigger outer display and 100w charging, then it will be a killer foldable @@Techtablets
@effyboy93 yes trust me one ui is the best
The only video we need 😊
Thanks 🤩
Dang I waited to see what it really would be like, but I think I'll get the oneplus or the vivo x 3 pro instead
sold fold 5 for oneplus open, and see that 6 will not be in my pocket
chinese phone collect your info
@@philliplue9291 everybody does, sooo
Only thing keeping me from the open is those that say multitasking and usability of the large screen isn't as useful on Open as Samsung is able to do with the Fold.
Whats your opinion
Ew
@@philliplue9291 So does Samsung and Apple and Google and give it freely to your gov.
Good review as you always do 👍
Thanks for watching!!!
I think UDC is fine for this, since you can always use the front camera, or, even better, the main camera for video call.
Yes and it's really only for video calls using the inner screen.
oh, almost forgot about the announcement today. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Nice camera work!
Thank you, it's quite a bit harder a a hands on session but I did what I could.
Please thank Chinese Foldable companies for giving us phones we actually want. Vivo X Fold 3 pro
True, Vivo, Hauwei, honor and Xiaomi are pushing more innovations in foldables. But Samsung has the edge with software and DEX.
@@Techtablets Depends on how you rate innovations. Most of them do not have the combination of an IP rating, wireless charging and wacom pen input. And as you stated the Samsung software is awasome for foldables. Also the trade-in deals a normally quite good.
Just got one .. waited for this disappointed
@@Giovanni1a I'll take 100w wired charging compared to Samsung's pitiful amount.
Sure, get chinese crap phone spying on you all the time. Btw try their non existent customer support😂
I feel like the biggest thing holding the foldable back is how delicate the inner screen is to the gorilla glass we're used to
Not really, its not as delicate as people think. Obviously its not glass but its decently durable.
Samsung decided to lose its share of the fold market 😂😂
Awesome first impressions and hand on video as always Sir
Awesome, thank you!
Looks good. Is there AOD with lock screen wallpaper like on the S24 and iPhone 15 Pro on both screens?
Second 🎉
Awesome video ❤
Thank you!
Oneplus Open still easily king on all fronts. 🍺
That and the X Fold 3, but if you need the stylus Open/Find N3.
Got a Vivo Xfold 3 pro global on the way. Glad I didn’t wait for this if I’m honest. Looks nice don’t get me wrong, just more of the same
Yes it's nice, but really the same just tweaked. Unless you need the stylus support and desktop mode the X Fold 3 Pro is great option.
Should have waited for Xiaomi Mix fold 4
@@mustafaghotawala5869 I just came from a Xiaomi 14 Ultra (which I loved) but wanted to try a brand I haven't had before
Same.. I waited for this.. disappointed
@@mustafaghotawala5869 not global
Ofc they shouldve pushed a lot more changes by now. Tho i do think this is the best looking zamzung fold so far.
And i do prefer UDC cams on these folds.
Waiting for real full review. Also navy color. 🔥🔥🔥.
Hope you having fun in there.
Thank you I'm having an amazing time in Paris. Yes it's the best looking one yet and it's a shame they didn't give us stylus support on the outer screen, larger battery and better charge time. And improved cameras is always welcome as let's face it the Z Fold cameras aren't amazing. They are decent but not flagship level.
Yeah sammie just being cheap ass at this point. Minor to non hardware upgrades and new colors.voila-all new price bump... Only thing that saves samsung is software for the rest they are playing catch up with chinese folds.
The spen not working on outer makes 0 sense.
Love fold 6
Gracias 🖖🏼
De nada
if not broken don't fix it ❌
if it's broken sell it again at higher cost ✅
probably samsung design and marketing team
I ordered the crafted black 256 GB
Nice colour I like the Navy blue and silver best didn’t see the black.
@@Techtablets The crafted Black seemd special at the back with that texture feels like carbon fiber Also ordered the buds 3 pro i got great deals since im trading my Fold 5 and camera dont matter since my second phone is iphone 15 pro max upgrading it to 16 probably in Septembrr
@xxprouaexx great 👍 I got there pink one from Samsung to test 😂 later I’ll be getting the iPhone 16 Pro Max for camera comparisons.
@@Techtablets can u make a detailed camera comparison for fold 6
@xxprouaexx I’m not sure that would get enough attention or if people really care.
Samsung spent more marketing than developing their new products. First and last time I bought a Samsung is the S8+.
Same.. I wanted a fold but this is Sad
Love the phone My only gripe is I wish it was a bigger battery and charge faster. Don't really need the s pen on the outside.
Surprising since the increase width makes the phone how I'd say as very almost asymmetrical. I dig this. Guess it'll just be a run and gun foldables rather than an next gen smartphone.
Vivo & Honor are hands down better phones.
I have the mix fold 3. I wish I could get android auto and pay to work at the same time
After going through the feedback from end users buyers and subscribers it will give an opportunity to the organization to address the user concerns areas of improvement and serve the community in a better way .
Let’s hope.
I have the 4 and will def trade-in my phone to the 6, but if you have the 5, I personally wouldn't switch to the 6.
No not really but from the 4 and under it is.
Yes, the Fold 4 had reliability issues and probably a good time to trade it in before you risk issues. I had problems after around 6 months and traded min in for a Pixel Fold, which has been perfectly sound for nearly a year!
I prefer the UDC as long as it isn't that piece of crap they use. I don't notice the camera when using my fold unless I look for it. Having the camera block my content is not preferred for me. I wish they would use a good UDC on the front display.
It's a shame the fold series has just been tiny iterative improvements since the fold 2. Why bother with the tiny wideness changes each gen instead of just making it properly wide like the pixel fold?
I was expect more. Bigger battery, faster charging, camera improvements, stylus support with the outer screen etc yes such small changes.
Very informative. Is the S Pen case designed to allow the Fold6 to lay flat when in tablet mode when placed on a desk ot table?
Nope I found it rocked a bit on a table due to the back of it.
That defeats the purpose if you need stability to write...
Wow amazing Galaxy Z6
Guess I'll wait til next year
I bet it was busy :) I was there a few weeks ago. So busy.
Very busy! But I was busier with Vivatech I felt. Now it’s the calm before the storm! 🤣
@@Techtablets Excited to see what you find there. You should also try out the electric mopeds in Paris. If you survive that then you can survive anything. :)
Do the interior screen have anti reflective features? Or does it less reflective as Find N3? Fold 5 is too reflective though
Not it doesn’t and the outer screen isn’t iOS the S24 Ultra reflection reduction.
@@Techtablets thanks for the reply. Sound like N3 inner screen still better suited for preference.
I absolutely love the inner screen but I wish the outer screen was slightly wider
Same here!!!
They can keep the under display camera for me. It looks cleaner and you can take selfies with the back cameras. Only use it for face unlock, and keep it clean
Good point!
Is 4400mah enough for the Fold? Cause I'm unsure whether the battery life would be worse than the s24 ultra
Just but if you’re a heavy user you’ll have to charge.
Samsung starting to remind me of Drake.
Drake? Why?
I have a first generation OnePlus Open, older hardware, but better everything else. Lighter, thinner, little to no crease when phone is open, better format when phone closed.
I had the fold 3, and the fold 6 isn't much better.
In my Opinion, the OnePlus Open is the best foldable available in the US.
So I'm keeping my fold 4 for another year then 😢
It's still good.
yah same here, was hoping for a larger screen
The upcoming Honor Magic V3 and Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 are gonna smoke this.
Highly likely expect the software side of things.
Sold my S23 ultra and iphone 15 Pro max to purchase Vivo X Fold 3 Pro and X 100 ultra. No regrets whatsoever. Extremely happy
I have both and very good phones!
Hi mate, me too, previously owned S23 Ultra, now i am a X Fold 3 Pro owner, never regret, tested, even camera also better.
At this point I'm more focused on the triple fold from Huawei that just got leaked.
Let’s see the next honor magic v3
I'm really looking forward to that one.
For me under-display camera is still better for foldables. Doing selfies while unfolded isn't really secure to take a photo anyway. The quality is more than acceptable for video calls. The camera improvements on cover screen is the one should be better and the main cameras at the back as well.
I think the size seems nice, though I wish it is still slightly wider but not too side that it compromises the one-hand ergonomics, which at least Samsung uniquely sits at not just among foldables but smartphones in general that even smaller phones tend to be already too big for small and medium sized hands.
I wish they could make it bit thicker to fit S-Pen inside, but then its tough decision since most seems don't care that S-Pen and prefer thinner device.
It’s more for video chat I think.
i really like it but.... the price. Pfff, too much for me. I stick with the 4th gen instead 🤷♂
Expensive phones that's for sure!
4 mp in 2024 shouldn't even be a thing, for anything, let alone on a 2000€ device!
I think they should use a cut out camera and move it to the far top right then we get proper quality from the inner camera for voice calls.
AI can't fix company greed
Samsung is playing catchup in hardware compared to the Chinese brands. The only thing they have going for them is Google software feature exclusives.
Software, DEX, IP rating and stylus. This is there edge over the competition but others are catching up they need to give us something new a standard wide aspect from screen. Maybe larger inner screen like 8”.
While Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi and One Plus have made amazing foldables with lots of design improvements, Samsung has released literally the same outdated device for a 3rd year in a row. Oh and for $100 more. They have become the Apple of the Android world.
Sadly they have. It’s a shame I really was expecting something new and different or at least many of the thing mentioned in the review about larger battery, stylus support with the outer screen. Larger outer and inner screens, standard expect ratio outer screen and a stylus silo within the phone. Not to mention charge rates and a larger battery.
I saw an article saying that consumers are keeping their tech for longer and longer, which Apple understands, so apply a business model of iterative updates. Samsung has finally realised that copying Apple is the best long-term strategy and is doing the same. It is boring for people fortunate to upgrade regularly, but it differs for the average consumer who upgrades every 4-5 years.
Vivo made the best fold1ble with the x fold 3 pro .
It didn't change in many ways, but it changed in the *right* ways.
If I wanted a OnePlus Open I would buy a OnePlus Open. Fold 6 sticks to a design that's perfect for my use case, and improves that design. Would I upgrade from a 5 to a 6? No. Would I upgrade from a 4 to a 6? Well yes I did, but only because the 4 was a bad year for durability and I'm cashing out while I still have trade-in value. But if I had a Fold 3, now we're talking - dramatic improvements from there.
And that's how it should be. Radical design shifts every year make the phone fresh for people who spend way too much to upgrade yearly, but radical design shifts aren't objectively improvements. The Fold? Very nearly every single change year over year is objectively an improvement, no room for opinions - if you liked the Fold 2, you'll love the 6, period.
On the other hand, major redesigns always have people who aren't happy about it - there are still people upset that headphones have largely gone from using 3mm jacks to being either USB C or Bluetooth, because removing the 3.5mm jack was a move that paved the way for better waterproofing but at the cost of a feature that some people still used.
The Fold 6 will appeal to Galaxy Fold fans, but I wonder if it will persuade the agnostic to move to Samsung as it does nothing new or compelling. Can Samsung keep selling to the same fan demographic and afford to do anything more exciting, as it is unlikely they make money yet from the Galaxy Fold?
Same fold for last 3 years stay clear
No more folds, i am very happy with the ultra series. All in one screen and no hassles to open the phone.
Old format is gold.
just because you don't use folds doesn't mean they should go away. options are gold. the world doesn't revolve around your specific needs.
@israelramirez0202 i have used fold 4 for 1 year and just 20 days before warranty was expiring, the hinge got stuck. Samsung service center told me that whole inner screen will be changed along with the hinge. Where as the display was completely perfect and scratchless. I traded my fold 4 with s24 ultra and i am now relieved. So if u guys are happy with the shenanigans its individuals choice. I just shared my experience for those who buy the device from out of pocket.
Those who are sponsored or receiving the devices officially or through other sources they are good to go.
But at least for me i see a device which is with me for atleast 3 years.
Sold my S23 Ultra.. too wide for 1-hand operation
Please do Vivo X fold 3 VS Samsung Fold 6
I might do.
Improvements = price😂
ah yes so true lol 🤣
really wanted this to be better than the vivo x fold 3 pro but cameras are a let down, that said having a galaxy watch I feel stuck in the ecosystem. Skipped the Fold 5 and went back to the S23 Ultra over my Fold 4 do I wait again for the Fold 7 to get a better crease and a wider cover or accept the AI, better Snapdragon and that it folds where the S23 doesn't.... or even shell out for the Vivo X Fold 3 pro global! choices choices
Don't forget Xiaomi's foldable and the Honor's magic V3 are also coming so plenty of choices which is great for us!
that camera bump looks like it came from some 100$ phone lol
Haha 😜
To expensive given there is always a risk that the crease will crack for no reason with normal use (and I dont mean the screen protector)
It definitely doesn’t justify the 100 dollar price increase to a phone that was already overpriced
The only thing I wish they would have added is anti-reflective screens.
Yes that would be nice!
Yes they did.
They are owned by Corning, so I suspect are expensive to buy and would have meant an even higher price rise. Maybe Samsung will develop its own anti-glare display, which will cut costs?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
👍 Thanks for watching!
Last year, I wanted to buy the Fold 5, but after it was announced, I felt disappointed and decided to wait for the Fold 6. Now that it has been announced, I feel more disappointed than before, and what is worse is that it has become more expensive.
I am now excited about Chinese devices, especially the new Vivo and Honor Magic V3
You know I was the same this is why I never bought and reviewed the Fold 5. I waited for this and now it’s hear I feel a bit disappointed 😢
@@TechtabletsI think I'll have to wait another year to see fold 7
Actually, ultra wide angle camera is a new sensor capable of recording in 4k60fps
Yes so I’ve found out I can do 4k60 now
It’s odd they never mentioned that.
4k60fps does not sound as sexy as AI AI AI......😂
6 ? thought the 5 only came out haha
Nope now onto 6 :D
I love paying more so that influencers can be flown around the world, dined and wined
Well i'm not sure about that, and I paid for my own flight by the way :)
@@Techtablets oh, i am surprised
This comment made me chuckle
There is no doubt that Samsung spends more on marketing than most companies, and it is also relevant that Samsung is an important income source for influencers. That is just the way it is. Just use your intuition and sense to determine what these upgrades are rather than listening to the PR and marketing.
Most just trashed Fold 6 here based on price and published features...
But does anyone have all current foldable phones to do a fair comparison?
How does it feel in the hand?
How does the hinge feel in actual use?
How about durability?
Does all have pen input?
Does all have 7 generations of Android updates?
Hope reviewers can give such actual comparisons...
Honestly very disappointed with the Fold6. Looking at what Vivo, Honor, and Oppo are doing in their foldables I think Samsung is only relying on its name to sell their fold (and their software to be honest) which is not enough in today's competitive market...
Same phone, different name since the Z Fold 3... this is just a joke...
The Fold 6 is still king because of software. No point of having all the bells and whistle if after 1 year support becomes non existent. The other Chinese phones are not well supported, even the more premium phones from them.
Treu they do have the edge with software, stylus support and DeX.
@@Techtablets agree, would love the Vivo X Fold 3 pro (global) but Dex, Ai, stylus and Galaxy watch support might just trump bigger cover screen, lesser crease and better cameras
Funny that samsung said : The World First thinest and lightest fold
" Lol what about the Honor magic v2 what still much more better and cheaper too :)
And now the V3 is coming which will be even lighter and thinner.
Take a shot when you hear "design" :P
That’s 10 shots at least 🤩😱
@@Techtablets :D
This device looks similar to the previous generation, which I believe is because Samsung is weary of the design.
Sorry what?
Too busy looking at the Vivo X Fold 3 and upcoming Xiaomi Mix fold 4.
Mix Fold 4 should be interesting.
Honor V3 also is an another choice rather than Fold 6....
Same narrow front screen, meh....
Honestly I'm disappointed. The Fold 6 is a little thinner, a little lighter, the front cover is a few millimeters wider... There's a new processor, the software is definitely improved... But ultimately it's always the same device. Same inner screen, same cameras, same battery, same charging... Too few if compared to competitors folds.
I felt like they have wasted a chance to do more. Bigger battery, faster charging, outter screen stylus support
The small battery is a shame, as a device with a larger inner display would ideally need a larger battery than candy bar alternatives. With OnePlus moving to 6000mAh this year and rumours that they are working on 7000mAh, it does show how far the Chinese are ahead in hardware. Samsung fans make the excuse that the software is better, but I am unconvinced, especially if, like many, you do not use DeX, an S-pen and don't need 6 years of support on a device that you will likely ditch after 2-3 years.
Crazy asking price..and the most body part made from Plastic. totally absurb.
Samsung bots on here dropping some idiotic remarks about nothing :)))
Where?
@@Techtablets check the comments, all the names ending in "-y4j" or similar are just bots. All the reviewers that dropped videos on the latest samsung products have the same bots with the same idiotic comments.
Thanks I will make a not of that I've been banning so many.
What a disappointment. That skinny outer screen is the reason I just can't use this phone.
that crease is so bad, but why? Vivo, Honor has got it so less that it can be easily ignored. But this looks so bad.
Too little, too late tbh
25w charging they are behind now 5 years
Very behind in charge rates compared to other foldables
I heard that even the new iPhone will get 40-watt charging, so I can only assume that Samsung still needs to find a method to charge their folding phones fast.
That screen resolution can't be right, according to gsmarena it's 1856 x 2160 pixels.
No spen support on cover screen is a deal breaker 😢
Yes, with the narrow front display, s-pen support on the front is probably more useful than the interior. But as Samsung pay a license for the use of the S-pen display, it is another exercise in cost-cutting.
So odd they didn’t add this!
It would seem so cost cutting so they didn’t do it.
@Techtablets but Chinese ones like Honor , Oppo, Oneplus all have it ! 😩
Way too expensive. I'm more curious what oneplus will do with their next Open device.
Samsung is the best (incompetence/disappointing your fan base).
A Thinner edges, more square design and a full price++ . They didn't even bother improving the quality of the screen to hide the 4mpx camera. Samsung is just a deception on the foldable market.
What a Shame.
The fact that crease is so insanely obvious in all angles is just a monster failure from Samsung
25W charging for a 2024 flagship that costs almost $2000 is criminal. Absolutely criminal.
I really thought they would have upped the charging speed to at least 45w
That stupid crease is still there after 6 iterations. Bloody Samsung...
Ridiculously expensive samamys
Could of atleast gave a spen in device.
Samsung fold not as good as rivals for hardware, but Samsung software is superior with more features. One UI is far better than anything from OnePlus, Vivo or Xiaomi. What do people really want?
The hardware is not the best now but yes the software still gives Samsung the edge.
25W charging? no way
Sadly yes still 25w like it’s 2017.
very bad, samsung didn't bring something Impressive and I guess Chinese companies ganna win the foldable market. aiming to buy one of coming Impressive Chinese foldable
After waiting and saving for months to buy the ZF6, I am am completely deflated. Samsung seems hell-bent on shoving AI down my throat and turning a useful tool into a kid-like toy. I don't want AI enhanced pictures... I want higher resolution cameras. I don't need help turning stick figures into cartoons, I want a built in S-Pen. The list goes on and on. AI is obviously planned to substitute for higher quality hardware. I'm out.
not worth it = Z fold 6
some notable
- the battery is not sufficient for its asking price
- modem is outdated for its asking price
- CPU is the same as S24 plus which has a price of 799
- S-pen is not integrated
- AI is just software and it will be available to S23 and S24 models
- the increase of price is for them to have margin to retain developers and engineers on their R&D department
- Camera is the same
- price increase so they can cover the rent on the venue, so they can cover the reimbursement of the flights of their guests and invited marketing artists
not enough, only a niche market for fold 6
those are dumb enough to by a 1900 phone and those have people that does not think about the expense
for a middle class, there are better phones out there and second hand phone that can save you a lot of dollars
still rocking with a note 9 and A52
can't go wrong with this 2, no fancy AI, because these AI stuff, you can download third party app and have the same feature
use capcut for editing, use google translate for conversation, etc...
for security, if you are diligent enough to not to fall for sms scams, use android messages and block them
for voice phishing, enable caller ID,
see fold 6 is not worth it
Tons of missed opportunities as you said. I'm sure its a great device but Samsung has become the same as Apple does. Only minor changes and no point buying it. I hope the Chinese such as Onepuls, Honour would come out with something more impressive.
couse you don't need to upgrade your phone every year. Only rich UA-camrs and reddit show off upgrade every year
@LendMeYourSuperCar You have a point. If I wasn't covering these phones I do I would still be using my S23 Ultra or S22 Ultra.
