To be honest, this OnePlus 12 is best and alternative for those who gets Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24 plus with Exynos Processor phone, and you get charger in the box
Yes you get the 100W 25 minute charger which is good. Samsung cheaped out copied Apple so no charger which is stupid and theior charge rates are a joke compared to other brands. But great phone so good for the price.
I got the 256gb s24 exynos on sale for $750 in saudi arabia. I got it over the oneplus because it has more support here (shops actually know how to repair samsungs) and the official warranty, and also for the better camera and optimization. I don't like raw performance phones as they tend to be buggy.
I pre-ordered two OnePlus 12's for my husband and I in January, and we both still love them. The camera is even better than my OnePlus 11, which I also loved, and the battery lasts forever. My OP12 will only lose 1% in 8 or 9 hours while I'm sleeping and will last all day easily. The speed is incredible and everything just works the way it should.. unlike my Pixel phones I've owned, unfortunately. Oh, and the antenna is the best I've ever seen! We live rural so that is very important to us. I've never dropped a call with this phone. Thank you for your review.
@@Bolty47 I paid only $599 for each of our 16GB RAM + 512GB storage OnePlus 12's. That included the free upgrade to the high end version, several pre-order bonuses, and a Motorola phone trade-in. Heck of a deal and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. This is THE BEST phone I've ever owned by far.
I also use GCAM on a S20 FE and Oppo X7 Ultra. I programmed the configs on my own. Its sad, but GCAM is unbeatable. My brother using a S23 Ultra was shocked after comparing my S20 FE midrange camera results with GCAM compared to his Flagship device.
This is the best phone of 2024! OnePlus absolutely killed it with the 12 best bang for your buck. $400 less than the 24 ultra and the 15 pro. You can't really say anything bad about it. Speed, battery, screen, performance, software, and cameras are more than good enough. It's a 9/10 because of that curved display. But still. Amazing phone! Plus now OnePlus is building their own ecosystem. It's just going to get better.
I really love my Oneplus 12. It's fast, UI is smooth as silk, absolutely no bloatware, works like a beast with all the multitasking I do on it, great display with good visibility outdoors, excellent RAM management, superb battery backup that lasts all day and has never let me down. Camera is decent too, works for my purpose. I own the Galaxy s23 ultra as well but use OP 12 as my primary phone as I absolutely love it! OnePlus is the proof how much other phone brands are ripping you off!

Chris great review👍But honestly I haven't been happy with my OP12 cameras, only 3x telelens was useful. best vfm flagship for sure, especially for the price you can pick it up from various markets/shops. Got the 12/256 model and i'm really happy - i would only change the curved screen, but i've grown used to it.
My country's is jammed packed with most of the top end flagship smartphones including the Vivo X100 Pro, Xiaomi 14 Ultra to even as niche as the Xperia 1 V. It's basically a good place to get most of the top smartphones minus a Pixel. If it weren't for me needing a more lighter smartphone this would easily be my top 5 smartphones to get. OnePlus is good but could still be as good or better than others.
the only thing I don't like about it is the curved screen...everything else is exceptional to a high degree especially considering it's *significantly* cheaper than the Pixel 8Pro yet has 4 times the storage
The reason most brands use a lower optical fingerprint scanner is because it's cheaper. In China they refer to the type of fingerprint scanner on the Oneplus 12 as an 'ultra thin' one (that's what it translates to anyway). Apparently they are double the price of the standard lower ones as the technology is different
I main the OP 12 and have been using it since April 1st. Incredible phone and I love it. I actually got it on a phenomenal deal, so that makes the experience sweeter. One gripe - Oxygen OS. Too buggy and it's frustrating.

@@Techtablets Anytime :D follow your channel, at least you are transparent. Oneplus 12 is not a option for me. Now hesitating between the honor magic 6 pro and xiaomi 14 ultra, which one would you keep?
People say autobrightness on Oneplus 12 is not great, was it the case for you? Brightness jumps up and down when you scroll a page with white background. Or it often dimms to 0 and not remembering your adjustments to brightness
Thank you for the review once again! I'm between this and the honor magic 6 pro! which would you prefer for the cameras and overall! is the zoom on honor with 2.5x very annoying? improved?
I own it for 2 months, and had 8T before. Honestly the camera in this phone sucks, i am really disappointed. The selfie on my 8T was excellent, this one isn't. The only mode the photos are somehow ok are master mode. I love the os, bit will never buy oneplus again. I had 5 oneplus devices, no more
People from Indian part now avoiding Oneplus totally for their Green line display problem. They haven’t solved the problem yet. Funny how they managing to make ad on their phone without solving the problme😊
Xiaomi 14 Ultra haptics is pretty terrible coming from my old LG V60. It literally has a quarter strength of the V60. That is one area Xiaomi needs to improve. Can't have a flagship phone with piss poor haptics. Battery life is also not great for a new phone. Need to charge it 3 times a day if I keep in between 20-80%. Lucky to get 6 hrs SOT. Not possible to even get 6 hrs if using only cellular data. The speakers on the otherhand is significantly better than the V60. And I haven't heard a comparison with the 14 Ultra in which the 14 Ultra didn't sound better.
@Techtablets I'm thinking about buying oneplus 12 or vivo x100Pro. I've seen photos from vivo and they are definitely better. I also care about the overall experience - battery, color quality on the display (I saw that Vivo seems to have perfect reproduction), ergonomics (I don't know if these oneplus are too big). I also thought about Xiaomi 14 Ultra, but it probably fares worse in terms of battery, display and photo quality. Can you suggest something?
Just moved to a OnePlus 12 after the frustrating updates on my Xiaomi 11T Pro after 2 years. My previous phone was also a Xiaomi, the Mi 10T Pro, which was decent in the camera department. I wasn’t considering the camera quality of other phones and was about to pick the Mi 14, but their poor support for updates and patches was disappointing. Even OnePlus can be a better competitor against the iPhone 15. Moreover, it comes with a charger and an infrared sensor to control your home devices!
If there was one thing I was a bit disappointed since I started using it, it's definitely the fingerprint sensor. I moved from Xiaomi Mi11i which had sensor built in the power button and the difference in performance and accuracy is night and day. It's a bit annoying to be honest.
Nice, agree with everything here, I have been impressed with mine. My only slight issues are it doesn't support adaptive brightness which is strange and the auto brightness is too dark for me when indoors and can't be set. I also miss 1 touch display notification previews like my pixel had. Also find some problems with the camera focussing on multiple faces at one time, makes the other faces that are not primary focus a bit soft. I'm also not a big fan of the curved display or the size. Phone is kind of huge for me, It's really time oneplus started making more reasonable sized flagship options like 6.1-6.3 inches like all the other top tier android manufacturers offer. OxygenOS is a lovely operating system though and battery is stellar, definitely the best value flagship out there.
The too dark brightness is really annoying. I thought im the only one who notice it. No UA-cam ever mentioned. Why is it not adaptive (learning) like on Samsung?
@@sviraci Yeah very confusing, pretty sure adaptive brightness comes as standard on android so OP has literally stripped it out to replace it with inferior auto brightness. Makes no sense at all
@@corsinivideos yeah i dont know why they did it. Also why they dont fix it yet. beside this it is an amazing Smartphone. But this ruins it when use it a lot indoor.
@@sviraci Yes, I either turn off indoors or just adjust. It is a great device otherwise, although I do miss 1 touch on lock screen display notification previews like on pixel.
Thanks to your review I bought the (Chinese) OnePlus 12. Its a very good phone but unfortunately the display uniformity issue is there. I also think the throttling is a bit too aggressive but this can be fixed with root hopefully.
I am using the same chinese version on global rom. The best thing is the battery. Full of bugs, not good main camera. Too heavy.Sorry, It does not deserve 500 usd dollars price.
Compared to my OnePlus 11 this still runs much cooler to be honest, even playing mobile legends at 60 fps (can do 120) it still runs as hot as running it on 120 fps mode, also those throttling scores it probably due to summer heat
Oneplus no longer has that special place in my heart, op5 was my last. Nowadays it barely offers anything different to competition. Be it software support, price, community support or anything. It having no official presence in my country doesn't help either. I used to get out of my way to get oneplus devices
I noticed sometimes I have to turn off auto screen brightness outside and just put it brighter and it is more than bright enough if you use the auto brightness it isn't always bright enough outside . That is something 1 plus can make better is to bring the screen to full brightness when you're outside
Excellent video. Id like to share mine. Had this global version for 4 months now, very happy with, worth every penny. Performance is fantastic, camera is great for me,although im still learning to use it until now. Battery is great too depending on how you use it, on my case, im out all day with my data on and it can last almost a day, maybe less if i use navigation apps and do some gaming. Thermals, i used it on the beaxh recently and i noticed its warming up specially i took a lot of photos and videos, maybe its the sun.but overall, worth the wait and every buck.😊
I sent mine back for a refund, the clock on the lock screen and the notification shade is unusable because oneplus made a stupid decision to make the hour digits deep red when they are '1'. Everyone is complaining about it, I went though the OnePlus support channels and this was the reply I received: `I would like to kindly inform you that the red number 1 is a tribute to our brand, it's part of OnePlus logo. It always been red for number one in OnePlus clocks. Therefore, you can rest assured the clock is not broken. This is a default feature and it cannot be changed.` My current phone is a OnePlus 3T, and it does not have an unreadable red clock. Why no-one mentions this in reviews is beyond me as being able to quickly tell the time is basic functionality. Community posted workarounds do not work. I'm not rooting my phone and breaking my banking apps and google pay to try and fix it myself.
How do you compare xiaomi 14 global version vs oneplus 12? I bought xiaomi 14 at first week of release and got it for around 510€ after selling the free tablet and trade in.
Phone is excellent but i have issue with the screen under direct sunlight the text is getting shadows behind and i have checked with 3 more mobiles the same issue presents. Can you please test this issue and let me know is this normal or not. I can mail you the exact video so that you can understand it better.
excellent review That's throttling stuff you talk about it's not there remember the taste that you do that is heavy real heavy so if you're doing normal gaming is not going to be that heavy so there's no throttling, got to remember that the test you do is designed to heavily impact the phone so and you're not going to heavily impact the phone while you're gaming so it's not there

People say autobrightness on Oneplus 12 is not great, was it the case for you? Brightness jumps up and down when you scroll a page with white background. Or it often dimms to 0 and not remembering your adjustments to brightness
Its really like that. I notice the same
Thank you for the review once again! I'm between this and the honor magic 6 pro! which would you prefer for the cameras and overall! is the zoom on honor with 2.5x very annoying? improved?
The Magic 6 Pro has the better cameras I feel. The zoom is okay but like any too much digital zoom is bad.
@@Techtablets thanks for the answer 🙏
No worries
It also has an IP68 rating, tougher display, and better PWM display.
The camera housing is gigantic, not good
Sadly they are all huge now and well 3 cameras normally sometimes even 4.
Agreed on screen brightness... I'm disappointed on screen brightness on direct sunlight 😢😢.
It should have EXTRA BRIGHTNESS option...
Yes it should compared to my other flagships it's one area it lacks.
@@Techtablets can't believe that REALME GT6. has 6000 nits 🙄🙄
Mine got damaged within 3 months. So I can't do a 6 month review, or any review for that matter. But this phone should be phone of the year.
How it got damaged?
How did it get damaged
You did not face software problems because this is a Chinese version with a global ROM ؟
is the chinese version with global ROM better than the standard version you can buy in US and Europe?
@@Babolatplayer on the contrary , I mean the standard version is better
How long does the battery last on 5g? How much for WiFi? With standard settings. Do you know? Some say 8 hours, others say 5 hours
9hrs plus
@@Farihcasm how much 5g?
@@krzychom1161 it's 5g and in 4g it's 11h+
Camera is copies from. Huawei
Love this phone so much battery for days cameras are great and its fast as hec
Sure is!
Oh you have that issue my units seems to have been unaffected or so minor I can't see it.
this or Honor 200 pro?
I am using the same chinese version on global rom. The best thing is the battery. Full of bugs, not good main camera. Too heavy.Sorry, It does not deserve 500 usd dollars price.
Iphone forever ❤
Compared to my OnePlus 11 this still runs much cooler to be honest, even playing mobile legends at 60 fps (can do 120) it still runs as hot as running it on 120 fps mode, also those throttling scores it probably due to summer heat
Im watching this on my OnePlus 8 Pro. I still love the 8 but you're selling me on this one 😂
What about videography? 🤔 Especially in lowlight situations - it was the weak point, mainly due to the bad image stabilization
I love my OP12 so much. I'm hoping they'll move away from a curved screen in the next generation but I still don't mind it much.
Everyone always says you can’t tell the difference when using FHD, I can clearly see it on my phone
@TechTablets great review! Can i ask you what is the brightest display you reviewed?
Not sure about the brightest but the one that looks the clearest in the sun is by far the S24 Ultra for me.
Im looking for oneplus 12 to replace my dead mi 10t pro because of the motherboard issue
Is the EU charger included?
Aliexpress one comes with the CN charger but they included an adapter for it.
Who is the best one plus 12 or honor 200 pro
If honor then only magic 6 pro. Otherwise choose Oneplus 12
Oneplus no longer has that special place in my heart, op5 was my last. Nowadays it barely offers anything different to competition. Be it software support, price, community support or anything. It having no official presence in my country doesn't help either. I used to get out of my way to get oneplus devices
Looking at your ex😂
When I get a new Job I will buy this 😃
All the best 😊, hope you got the job
I noticed sometimes I have to turn off auto screen brightness outside and just put it brighter and it is more than bright enough if you use the auto brightness it isn't always bright enough outside . That is something 1 plus can make better is to bring the screen to full brightness when you're outside
who can't they do a smaller one
Lol, I guess I am the only one who wants an even larger phone
Everyone is complaining about it, I went though the OnePlus support channels and this was the reply I received:
`I would like to kindly inform you that the red number 1 is a tribute to our brand, it's part of OnePlus logo. It always been red for number one in OnePlus clocks. Therefore, you can rest assured the clock is not broken. This is a default feature and it cannot be changed.`
My current phone is a OnePlus 3T, and it does not have an unreadable red clock.
Why no-one mentions this in reviews is beyond me as being able to quickly tell the time is basic functionality. Community posted workarounds do not work. I'm not rooting my phone and breaking my banking apps and google pay to try and fix it myself.
First World Problem
There are alternatives for that you know.
In the video I mention that as a Con that the screen in sunlight is dull, but your issue of shadows behind text is something mine didn't have.
It's a OppoFX7U but nerfed in some aspects like no AF on selfie cam and no x6 tele. So we buy the OP12 only because we cant get oppo here.
Hopefully next years Oppo flagship goes global I believe it will now.
Really great phone expect the software is wank..
Throttling is much better than destroying your phone. Even 50% throttle is still faster than budget phones.
That's true as heat causes damage if it's long term. But still which it wasn't throttled as much as it is.
excellent review That's throttling stuff you talk about it's not there remember the taste that you do that is heavy real heavy so if you're doing normal gaming is not going to be that heavy so there's no throttling, got to remember that the test you do is designed to heavily impact the phone so and you're not going to heavily impact the phone while you're gaming so it's not there
It is there eventually when you game for around 20 minutes with a game like Genshin impact you see the row drop a little due to throttling.
IP-68 Rating?
Ip65
Amazing review as always, out of this and a X100 Ultra which one would you pick?
