- Lang & Heyne represent the very best in mechanical watch making with respect for and understanding of the history and techniques of the past and yet able to use modern tools to realize what past watchmakers hoped to create in both beauty and technical accuracy.
Thanks for putting a spotlight on this great manufacture. Very enjoyable video. When the day comes for that grail purchase why not go in person. Dresden is an incredible city. Imagine that beauty on your wrist for a night out perhaps attending the semperoper.
Simply - Wow! Just started watching your videos and am really enjoying them.
Thanks Bill for this very informative reply, talk about stellar qualifications what a brilliant and talented family. I remember Zeiss cameras and zeiss lenses, top quality. Growing up my father had a Zeiss camera, that was stolen but I still fondly remember it. Also Zeiss recently dabbled in cameras making. I have a soft spot for independent watch makers, we desperately need them.
Beautiful watches...I love the simple 3 hand ones ... the rectangular shaped watch was really an interesting movement design. Good show!
Hi Bill, wow 😲 what can I say, stunning the caliber VIII has to be the prettiest watch in some time
This was a rare treat. Would love to see this brand in person alongside Patek, VC and A@S. At this level I would be curious to see if there discernible differences in craftmanship or if it would primarily be artistic. Thk U.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I imagine a remontoir is the escapement sends each impulse of power to the remontoir, and the remontoir regulates the actual impulse to the seconds, minute gears and motion works.
Helloo good man.I deeply respect and appreceate your videos, the way you look, valuate and "judge" the watches.I had a pleasure to visit Lang&Heyne workshop. It is experience which open my eyes about "high horology" production. At the moment I was there, the guy was making Bridge of Georg, after CNC milling. Hours of handwork. Amazing. Just an example. And that is what makes
Hi Bill, referring to Caliber VI not VIII, if u are heading to Dresden make sure to take lots of photos, and insightful videos of L and H and others, of the bench, the possible engravers folks that actually make the things rather than CEOs and salesmen and the surroundings make a whole visit experience, Cheers
do you think the trigonal bridge makes the caliber VI less stable than the caliber I since it doesn't have the three-quarter plate?
Beautiful watches 👍
# 100 yeah congrats Sir.....Thanks for the education..
Thanks for bringing Lang alive. Prefer Voutilainen, but only just.
Great story as
Boy that Augustus I is something else! Would you say that these are all around better watches than what A Lange can put forward at each corresponding price point? It’s hard to imagine Lange being outdone in terms of movement quality and finishing, at least in their higher value offerings.
Presents are great to receive especially the ones that go tick tick, keen to know what m Lang’s father did before, he must be in his 70s to start a new brand?
hi, can you tell what are your thoughts on Glashutte, Pavonina, Women's Watch, 18K Rose Gold and Stainless Steel Case, Quartz 1-03-01-25-16-34-SD, thank you
Georg is my grail watch!
IV !
Have yoe ever been to Dresden?:)
