There is nothing like not growing up. Lol. I did not have a lot of money to spend as a kid, so my Airfix collection was limited. I wanted to buy some of those soldier sets featured in the comic books in the 60s and early 70s but never got around to it. I had forgotten some of those sets were actually games with a board (playmat) and rules. Then were a lot of sets I was not aware. I grew up in a small city with only a few small hobby shops which only had the boxed soldiers. Hobby shops in a larger market area probably carried the larger sets. I found two fold out ads for a line called Atlantic in a 1979 wargame (Panzer Force). One had Far West Kits, Far West Wargames, WW II Wargames, Nato Armor Kits, WW II Armor Kits, Far West Story and HO scale Modern Armies and Armies of WW II. It is great to see you opening up these old sets. Rock on!

Absolutely delightful stuff. Thank you for showing us all these toys. A few of my friends had the games and whatnot (The lucky sods). There was an Ad on Telly for the Tin Can Alley Rifle Set, back in the day. No-one knew who the bloke was. The way the camera lingered on him, suggested he was meant to be famous, but we didn't know him from Adam. I didn't find out 'til recently that he was Chuck Connors, star of an old North American TV Show called 'The Rifleman'. Whoop-di-doo, big deal. Nonetheless, the toy was highly desirable, but it was nowhere to be found. And so we got our hands on Air Rifles instead. And is why the NHS is still popular today. Thanks again for bringing Christmas Day back, albeit for an all-too-brief spell. Cheers.

If im working on something i stop then months would go by and it would be still unfinished. But i still collect and im almost out of space.
