Hopefully you all enjoy the episode. This was a labor of love. So many hours but worth it in the end.
I'm sure some of you will ask, "Where are you traveling? Will the show continue?"
Currently in Croatia and heading to Bosnia and Herzegovina next. Aiming to gradually move east through Europe and into Asia. The show will absolutely continue. I'm not your average traveler - I brought a PS4!
The next episode will be The Last of Us on Grounded. Kind of like the God of War episode on God Mode. No trophies. Just Man vs Game.
Thank you all for the support and kind words. See you in the comments.

Adam McDermott I did Grounded on my very first playthrough, because I used a exploit where you could play Grounded + immediately. It was really bloody tough, but a lot of fun at the same time, which says a lot about the game. I did Grounded immediately because I wanted all the trophies in the game, not just the platinum, and that’s exactly what I did. Of all the trophies though, the ones that irritated me the most where the two long multiplayer trophies. I was so sick of the god damn multiplayer after I was done, that I will never play the multiplayer ever again.

I am not really a fan of the Call of Duty franchise. However, I decided to give Call of Duty: Modern Warfare a shot since it was free on PS Plus this month. I am almost halfway through the trophies. I am trying to play the game on Veteran difficulty in one single playthrough. The key word is TRYING. LoL This video was definitely worth the wait. Because of your video, I now know a couple of good strategies to help earn a few of the trophies. You bring so much joy to us gamers. Thank you for all that you do, Adam. :)

@@AdamMcDermott I just wanted to say "Thank You" again for uploading an awesome video on your Platinum Journey for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. I was able to earn the Platinum (#35) for this game as well. Veteran Difficulty was absolutely brutal. It tested me especially on the 'No Fighting In The War Room' and 'Mile High Club' Missions. The last trophy that I had to get was the 'Best of the Best' trophy. As you know, that trophy is a little tricky. It took me like an hour before I finally earned it. LOL
I believe that some of the credit should go to you. Your video helped me get the platinum. Thank you for all that you do. :)

I'm playing mw at the moment(psplus freebie :) ) but I don't think I'll go for the plat... too much trouble, I'm playing it mainly for the nostalgia, it's my favorite cod too
    but anyway, great video!

Funny. For me the toughest part of the Veteran play through was the end of the Chernobyl mission where you have to hold your ground against an onsluaght of enemies while waiting to be rescued by the helicopters. That level almost made me rage quit the platinum, but I stuck with it after a week break and finally beat it, so good on you mate for seeing it out till the end!

    • @AdamMcDermott

Conventionally, I rapidly clicked on this video as soon as I was notified. Also left a like before watching it.
And now I feel like dropping several more likes, if only that were possible.
Platinum Journey is such an enjoyable format! It takes no Argus eye in order to see how much work is put into these videos.
The result is, I am impressed by the editing, by your skills and perseverance, and I rewatch those videos regularly haha.
It's also THE perfect time for you to drop this video right now, where MW is available for free for PS Plus subs.
The only COD games I played before are Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 3 [also currently doing the BO3 platinum trophy], but now Im happy to add MW to the list [in the future, I also plan on getting and platting Infinite Warfare and maybe WW2].
I have to compliment the persistent work you put into these videos. And also, I am insanely impressed by this video in particular for beating everything on Veteran without the glitch.
The only trophies I have left now are the ones for collecting all intel, and all the ones for Veteran.
    Also, 21:00 seems utterly heartbreaking.
I actually liked getting the Best Of The Best trophy, I just love practicing stuff like that (my best time is 14.23 I believe); but the narrow doorways made it a bit frustrating; it was easy to just get stuck a bit.
Hereby, I wish you a great day, a further enjoyable journey 'cross the globe, dear traveller, and thanks for your videos! :D
[By the way; what gaming feat are you MOST proud of?]

    • @AdamMcDermott
      @AdamMcDermott  5 років тому +2

If I could heart your comment more than once I would. Thank you so much for saying such lovely things.
I did not know Modern Warfare was on PS Plus this month. That is good timing. It will be interesting to see if it boosts views.
Best of luck with Modern Warfare.
I knew going into the video that it wouldn't feel right glitching veteran. Took fecking ages, but got through it.
Yeah, 21:00 was a real gut punch. Made even worse because it took me so long to get back there.
And I wish you a good day too.
Either beating Resident Evil 4 on Professional mode back in the day or speed running Shovel Knight in under 90 minutes. For the speed run to be successful, you have to know every detail of every level, how to skip by enemies, how to beat bosses as fast as possible and of course not die. Really thought of giving up on that one. Didn't help that I was absolutely fed up with the game.
What gaming feat are you most proud of?

    • @abandon4
      @abandon4 5 років тому

Adam McDermott Thank you very much for the reply! :)
I'm actually collecting all the intel in MW right now (I'm roughly at 12/30. I did my first playthrough without even looking at the trophy list, just so I could enjoy it most). This trophy list is a great one in my eyes: No online knick-knack, only singleplayer trophies; no unnecessary grind, and a high difficulty, making it all the more rewarding.
I definitely do hope that this coincidence of MW being a freebie this month will bring your channel to a more public light, because it's criminally underrated.
It's hard to say what I'm most proud of, but the Yakuza Kiwami plat, the Outlast 2 plat and my 100% in Overwatch make fine contenders.
Yakuza Kiwami was just strenuous and purely luck based, I had to learn how to play all sorts of Casino and dice games, mainly Japanese mahjong, and spend dozens of hours in them.
Outlast 2 should be obvious; if you ever heard of the 'Messiah' trophy, you'll know the drill. If you didn't, here's the requirements:
"Finish the game in Insane mode [= no checkpoints, no saves, one life, hardest difficulty] without reloading the camera battery [know the whole game inside out]."
Overwatch mainly because of how time-consuming it is, and because of how much ludicrous luck some of the trophies require (like Halt State and Cratered).
Maybe the Paladins platinum trophy as well, just because I had to find 11 other players, somehow get into the same match and have all of them die simultaneously for the 'Last One Standing' trophy... that was a nightmare because it's difficult finding so many people to do it with, and then having all of them be online at the same time, et cetera. xD
I have never played or watched RE4, so I can't assess its difficulty.
But from watching your Shovel Knight platinum journey alone I already knew I won't be touching that one haha. ^^
And I hope you don't mind answering these questions, but two more came to mind:
      1) What is your most nostalgic videogame/game experience?
      2) Which platinum trophy do you think you'll attempt next?
      Cheers!

    • @AdamMcDermott
      @AdamMcDermott  5 років тому +1

Yes. The trophy list is perfect for the reasons you stated. Other games could learn from it.
Jeeney, Outlast 2 sounds insane. Didn't know it was that hard. Fair play to you on the other two games as well.
Yeah, steer clear of Shovel Knight, haha.
      Sure:
      1) What is your most nostalgic videogame/game experience?
Pokemon Red was my first ever game. So that's a big one. Got it for Christmas. My parents stuffed it at the very end of my stocking, the cheeky feckers. Have replayed it and FireRed several times.
Staying up all night playing Uncharted 1 with one of my cousins. Never had a game looked so good. Drake's clothes got wet in the water!
Those are the two big ones for me.
      How about you?
      2) Which platinum trophy do you think you'll attempt next?
I'll be doing The Last of Us on Grounded next but that isn't a platinum. Umm, I have a big list of potential games but haven't yet decided. It will be single-player with no online trophies. That is on the only thing I can guarantee.

    • @abandon4
      @abandon4 5 років тому

Adam McDermott Other games should learn from MW indeed.
I love challenging trophy lists, but only if the game itself intrigues me enough (which, I reckon, is self-explanatory).
Thank you, by the way. I loved Outlast 2 so much I never raged in it, and although it was very difficult, I replayed it several times even after platting it. Fantastic game.
Overwatch does make me curse here and there haha, but the game is enjoyable (which is surprising, because it's online only, despite me preferring singleplayer, so kudos).
Yakuza was not enjoyable at all though. aha
My personal most nostalgic videogame ever is actually LittleBigPlanet 2.
It was my first contact with videogames, and I initially played it at an acquaintance of mine in Russia, during summertime.
I loved it so much that I was longing for a PS3 with LBP2 next christmas, and I got it.
To this date, the entire franchise is meaningful to me. It molded the majority of my personality, interests, way of thinking, and the baseline of my knowledge as a whole.
Even to this date, I listen to music made by the community in the game, many of which date back to 2011-13. And for years, it was the only game I played. I literally played thousands of community levels. A franchise to never be forgotten. Most of the music tracks are effective when it comes to forcing a few tears out of my eyes, heh. LBP3 is very meaningful as well, but LBP2 just set the bars.
I only got into trophy hunting in laaate 2016.
And I'm excited to see the TLOU run! Perfect prelude to Part 2 ^^
Im currently doing 100% in Bioshock Infinite, Destiny 2, BO3 and MW.
In the future, I'll definitely get my hands on Red dead Redemption 2 and Wolfenstein 2 (I really want to beat Mein Leben). Will take months because of my lack of leisure but I'll get to it eventually.
Thanks for the response and keep up your lovely work!

Those 2 sections were bloody murder. Still it took me half an hour to finally get through them plus beating the record on cargoship mockup. Then again no one is the same. Train yourself better and always remain calm. If you don't know what to do then consult the internet. I just completed the plat trophy a few days ago, I know your pain. It was insanely satisfying to get that “another day at the office” notification.
