I have to say the Arkham City's challenges are even harder (the combat is easier, but there are challenges where you have to do 3 challenges in a row and those are a nightmare), but still fun overall, the only part I hated was collecting riddles, more than 700 in the trilogy.

It’s weird. Reflecting back as I get ready to retire my PS3, Arkham Asylum was the 2nd game I ever platinumed. For a time I had the opposite problem of blowing through the combat challenges and getting stuck on the predator challenges. It was only after I got really into Arkham City and earned that platinum that I forced myself to go back. I have since redone both on PS4, and if they come to PS5 (along with Origins which deserves a remaster), I would absolutely platinum them again.

Just bought this game on the winter sale because of this video i helped my brother complete arkham city to 100% when it first came out but never really liked arkham asylum when i played it
It's funny how everybody seems to find different challenges as the most difficult. For me, Shock and Awe and Intensive Treatment were by far the easiest combat challenges, I managed to get both the regular and extreme versions done within 5 tries. I struggled far more with Sewer Bat and Rumble in the Jungle where both of those took me an hour each to finally beat. I also struggled a lot with the predator challenges while others seemed to have had no problems with those. It's all about getting big combos and that basically just boils down to maintaining a rhythm. If you can get up to a x40 combo, you rack up a lot of points quickly and then it really trivializes the combat challenges as you'll blow past the score requirement with a round to spare. Hi Adam! I was really struggling to get the platinum for this game, I really suck at combat even after playing every Arkham game, but this video gave me the inspiration I needed and I finally got the trophy last night. I hope you continue making content like this with newer games. Have a good one!
Congratulations on the platinum and sticking with it. I'm always happy to hear if a video of mine helped someone. I am not particularly good at games so it can give people hope. I just recently platinumed this game and I noticed a trend. The trend was most of the riddler trophies and puzzles were available to be grabbed along with the joker teeth normally being in the direction that ud most likely go along the way to objectives and if u simply looked around a bit through out the game ud only have to back track for very few of them. I had 190 of the 240 trophies and puzzles by the end of the game and also since all of the riddles and puzzles boost ur level considerably I had all of the upgrades long before the end of the game the thing about stuff like this is it's only tedious if u make it that way. Alot of the challenges can get anoying mainly rumble in the jungle and shock and awe
2021: Still waitinng for Arkham City & Knight Episode :). I know both of them are a bit heavy open world and you're not a fan of open world stuff, but City has some of the best boss fights in the series and Arkham Knight has the best story. Even Origins is awesome but has a multiplayer trophies in it :(. But you have to play City and Knight and make an episode one day for the god sake 😂. This is really my favourite episode of all, because I love DC Comics & Batman is one my favourite fictional character of all time. I lover his animated series, movies, comics & games in this case. Arkham games sets the standards for tie-in games and all of them still brilliants till these days. Great Job Adam I rewatched this episode I think for 20 times :)
Still not interested in Arkham City and Knight I'm afraid. Delighted to hear this is your favourite episode. Batman is a great character. A true classic.
2022, still rewatching. And this time I'm attempting to a platinum :). Those combat challanges will make me go crazy 😂. Adam, once again, after all of our requests you should give up and give us Arkham City and Knight Episode. I think those are some of the most requested games on the channel. Well that's what I understood after the 3 Q&A videos and the lives with Lucy, Guy and Lewis.
Each episode takes so much time to make, I don't fancy doing one about a games which doesn't interest me. There is so much I want to cover. Got the next 3 years planned out :)
Welcome! At least you know you are not alone in struggling with the combat challenges. If a dummy like me can beat them, I'm sure you'll definitely beat them.
@@bruh-js7lo Thank you very much. It is not as impressive as is seems though. UA-cam sorts comments by newest first so even if the video is old, I still see any new comments. I do get a kick out of people watching videos from a couple of years ago and still enjoying it :)
I had problems only with shock and awe extreme. Every other combat challenge I completed without retries. Maybe it’s because I’ve done all challenges in AC first, but I think Adam just did it wrong. The strategy is to evade after hitting somebody. And using as many moves as you can. But Shock and awe extreme is just awful. Good luck if you haven’t earned this platinum yet! It’s not that hard P. S. Adam, I know how you felt there! I literally couldn’t think about anything else at night after not beating those challenge rooms in AC! Good job, love your videos!
I most certainly made mistakes while trying the challenges. Despite having a show about platinuming games, I'm not particularly good at them, haha. Yeah, I also lay awake at night thinking about those challenge rooms. Thanks. I'm glad you like the videos :)
Adam McDermott maybe you weren’t good, but now you definitely are good) You’ve got platinum in dead space, shovel knight, the last of us, uncharted etc. Those are not easy, to say the least)
For Batman Arkham Asylum my only Struggle is the combat medal trophies Im missing the freeflow silver, Freeflow Gold, Freeflow Perfection and Pefect Knight (Which I'll get for 100% the game after beating the challenge levels😅)
Adam McDermott want a challenge? I suggest batman arkham night to you. It's time consuming and fun. I've already got the plane and let me tell you its definitely the hardest in the series. Have fun :)
Thanks to you, your video convinced me to not try the platinum for this game :) I have Arkham Knight platinum and even finish it at 240 % fantastic game but it's was too long, some trophies drives me crazy,I love Arkham Asylum but I find it hard to navigate in this map.
Great to see even more content coming to this channel Adam. Platinum Journey is amazing, but it sure as hell can take alot of time to make it into a video. And as hard as it can sound, it's not gonna make too many people interested just because of the wait (which is hella worth it if i may say so). That being said, I'd really want to see a normal gameplay on this channel if you're into making this kind of content. If not, then something else would be great. Thats what mans1ay3r is doing now. You propably heard of him from the Machinima's gamerpoop. Also, next thing you can do is to set up a patreon, and monetize all of your videos. I wish you thousands of subs man, because you really deserve it.
Thank you for your input. I did normal gameplay videos in the past, but they no longer interest me. I have not heard of mans1ay3r, but after checking out his channel I see what you mean. However, I do have a show that I am currently gathering resources for which will break up the episodes of Platinum Journey. It will take a few months and probably a couple of tries to get right, though. It involves two of my favourite pastimes - playing games and drinking. I might set up a patreon in the future, my channel is a bit too small to do it now and I don't feel like the series is at a level to ask for support in making it. Thank you for the kinds words :)
Man, oh man :) It's great to know that we share two hobbies. Can't wait for the new vids then. I'll enjoy watching your channel grow :) Keep up the good work then Adam, and good luck.

I've done most of the riddles without a guide;I say "most" becasue there were 20 or something that I couldn't find. And now I don't want to even open the game!
Kacper Babiarz It’s the joker funhouse extreme. Where you need to get 1 million score in 3 minutes, I’d say I’m an above average Arkham player but it took me a while. The other ones were easy though
Finished return to Arkham over 4 days, finished the story on easy on day 1,spent day 2 doing riddler trophies and spirit of Arkham, day 3 on challenges and day 4 playing it on hard,a tough experience but a great game.
So you finished a 12-hour long story in a day twice? Just too crazy man. I played 3-4 hours a day which I rate a good amount of time and finished it in 5 days, don’t forget to live mate.
@@PaulTafuria I had just left college, and had no job,and Covid still hadn’t gone away, once you know how to play the game, the story is really quick, skip all the cutscenes, and just rush through the game,it’s simple
Got the platinum for both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. And I loved them both apart from them challenges which in my opinion can do one. They were even harder in Arkham City but perseverance was key and I earned that elusive platinum. Playing on Hard wasn’t a real challenge, Bane wasn’t fun, the two titans in that room with the elevators was also a bit tricky but Poison Ivy was the real test on hard mode. The first one wasn’t a 20 hour platinum like it says on the guide I think I did it in just under 30. Arkham City was a grindy 63 hour plat. But I did it.
Hey Adam, awesome video as usual! I have some huge nostalgia for these games, I remember first seeing screenshots in the magazine coverage of it and being incredulous at how jaw dropping the graphics were. Having replayed it recently on the Return To Arkham version, the game holds up solidly but the platforming and boss fights are a huge let down, and the RtA version is notoriously the worst HD ports other than Silent Hill. Its much maligned by fans due to the bad redesigned characters and awful screen-space reflection implementation, alongside the shift to UE4 which prevented even a stable 1080p60 (its dynamic 1080p30, usually below a full 1080p, even when player on a ps5). The game is still fun though, despite its so-called metroidvania aspects being a sham. Its an extremely linear game in reality. I did like the combat still, and the detective elements are brilliantly realized, with the story a middling exercise in the generic. The challenge rooms are all I have left for the platinum but oh boy they're tough. Glad to see you finally finished the game though Adam, and i'm glad you enjoyed it

Just found your page..I'm a die hard trophy hunter as well so I feel your pain..I wanted to platinum this game but that trophy for doing every one of mic moves in one combo pissed me off so bad I just stopped..great game though...you've made me wanna give it another try.
Welcome to the channel. I'm not great at the game so if I can do it, I'm sure you'll be able to do it too. Best of luck!
@@AdamMcDermott thanks homie..buuut I dunno about those challenges..but shit..if I can platinum all 3 dark souls..Bloodborne..sekiro and Nioh..this SHOULD be a cake walk..but I highly doubt it. We'll see.
I just got the platinum trophy for this yesterday. The last one i needed was shock and awe extreme also. After trying getting it for 4/5 hours the day before yesterday I give up, came back the next day and got it within 1 hour lol.
Congratulations!
A true classic.
such a calming voice
Thank you!
I suppose the challenge maps won't be too much trouble if you're already mad as a hatter, congratulations on yet another victory!
Haha, cheers!
Love your videos man. I keep rewatching your content every few months. Keep up the awesome work.
It is so cool to hear that not only would someone watch my videos once, but also rewatch them. Cheers!
You didn't lie when you said you were back. YES! I enjoy the videos, keep up the work!
I am back indeed! I'm glad you enjoy the videos :)
Shock and awe extreme made me want to give up on this platinum. Infuriating.
You are not alone
Wow nice chanel! Right now im going mad with the combat challenges so came to yt and found your chanel. You got yourself a new subscriber
Welcome! At least you know you are not alone in struggling with the combat challenges. If a dummy like me can beat them, I'm sure you'll definitely beat them.
This was my first platinum back in the day. Perfect freeflow was the hardest part for me.
Man this is fucking sick
Haha, cheers!
Adam McDermott wow you even replied despite this video being like 2 years old, you’re a great youtuber
@@bruh-js7lo Thank you very much. It is not as impressive as is seems though. UA-cam sorts comments by newest first so even if the video is old, I still see any new comments. I do get a kick out of people watching videos from a couple of years ago and still enjoying it :)
Adam McDermott ah that makes sense, thanks Adam! I don’t understand how you still don’t have anymore subs!
So glad to see more regular content from you Adam, love your videos :)
I'm glad you stuck around :)
It’s not that hard
Best channel on UA-cam!
You are too kind. Thank you.
For Batman Arkham Asylum my only Struggle is the combat medal trophies Im missing the freeflow silver, Freeflow Gold, Freeflow Perfection and Pefect Knight (Which I'll get for 100% the game after beating the challenge levels😅)
Best of luck!
This channel was such a good find. Subbed in an instant!
Welcome :)
You know, after watching this, I kind of feel bad for suggesting this before 😂😂
Ah, you're grand. Up until the challenge rooms, I was enjoying it.
Adam McDermott want a challenge? I suggest batman arkham night to you. It's time consuming and fun. I've already got the plane and let me tell you its definitely the hardest in the series. Have fun :)
Sauce God Only getting the knight fall was hard
@@lenz3958 Even getting Knight fall isn't hard, it just takes a while
Welcome back, Sir.
Congrats and well done!
It is good to be back.
Thank you!
Love your vids m8 BRILL BRILL stuff , am xbox all the way and love achievements . BUT love watching ur platinum vids BOSS 👍
The only Riddler trophies I enjoyed were the ones where you had to take a picture with your visor. All the rest were such a pain in the backside.
Just watched all of youre Platinum Journeys. Good shit dude! ;D
Wow, all of them. Fair play to you. Thanks for watching :)
Came here after going through the torture myself lol
another great video, always a pleasure when I get the notification for these! keep up the great work
Thank you for the kind word and will do!
I am on the same mission today in Return to Arkham : Arkham Asylum 😑 Anyway good job and good play Adam 👏
Cheers and best of luck!
Thanks to you, your video convinced me to not try the platinum for this game :) I have Arkham Knight platinum and even finish it at 240 % fantastic game but it's was too long, some trophies drives me crazy,I love Arkham Asylum but I find it hard to navigate in this map.
I'm honoured. Yeah, sometimes the trophy isn't worth potentially killing your enjoyment of the game.
I'd recommend playing on easy first and getting every trophy except the other two difficulty trophies it makes the challenges 10 times easier
Good idea.
Shouldn’t u be writing names a notebook
Do Arkham city
Haha, good to know we share hobbies.
Thank you :)
This video inspired me to go for the platinum for this game. Now, I can say in total agreement, Shock and Awe on extreme isn’t an easy challenge…
We know each other's pain
I feel you so good right now! Stuck at Shock and Awe (extreme) en Route to Platinum, tomorrow s gonna be the day. Thats gonna be my fastest Platinum (Started 29th January). Played it on ps3 Back nearly 14 years old in the day whitout Platinum it and now the time has come to Platinum the Return to Arkham version, LOVE THIS GAME!
Best of luck!
@@AdamMcDermott Finally Made of trough hell and Back! Now the only Thing left is the playtrough on hard, that s gonna be nice

This video is brilliant! Might attempt it myself :)
Thank you. Definitely give it a go. Great game.
Great content man.....!!!Nunca perca a sua individualidade!E sempre faça o que você gosta......SEMPRE.
I've done most of the riddles without a guide;I say "most" becasue there were 20 or something that I couldn't find.
And now I don't want to even open the game!
Just do a guide it doesnt hurt
@@ioadiess760 what?? I mean I have done them without using a guide
@@yehiaashraf6702 i feel u just look in places most obvious
This was my first trophy platinum on ps3. Even though I had to play it again platinum it again for Batman Return Arkham for the ps4 still enjoyed it.
I'm so proud of have this platinum
Gotten the platinum for almost all the batmans but I can’t do the challenge rooms. So my friend does them for me
Nothing wrong with getting a bit of help.
You should Platinum Batman: Arkham City
Too many collectibles. It would drive me nuts.
@@AdamMcDermott theyre actually not that much. A lot easier than TLoU and GoW
Adam McDermott I’ve managed to do it but was stuck on one challenge map for 2 weeks
@@sheev6952 which challenge map was it?
Thanks Adam i finally got the platinum trophy on this game!
Congratulations!
@@AdamMcDermott Thx
Hi Adam! Nice video man! :)
Hi DeltaGames! Thank you :)
Adam McDermott You should do Uncharted 4, I got that game Platinum yesterday! It's an amazing game :D
I've got a couple more games to go through first, but Uncharted 4 will get an episode.
Adam McDermott Can't wait for the next episode, I'm enjoying this one.
Quality content
Cheers!
I got the platinum for this game and is was so fun and I’m making progress on Arkham city
Did you platinum City because I’m about to punch my TV
@@elijahb30 lol XD i know the struggle,i have decided to platinum this game so wish me luck
Would be great if you could do the Platinum Journey on the other Arkham Games!
It is unlikely. Didn't care for the open world direction of the series and all those collectibles.
