Thomas, this has been an amazing year watching your channel grow week on week. You have shared with us so many magnificent moments and images and to say you have been an inspiration would be an understatement. Today's vlog was no different and to see so much contrast in the mono image was magical. Have a great Christmas with Charlotte and Monty and your family and so looking forward to following you in 2018
Thanks, Thomas, for all the wonderful videos this past yr. encompassing extended effort and sometimes much travel to your photographic destination(s). They always make us feel like we are right there with you, almost helping you compose those magnificent shots we see from the warm cozy comfort of our living rooms, while you endure the often extreme temperature and climate extremes in pursuit of that ever elusive perfectly framed photo. One can only imagine the effort required in these desert locations presented here, all the while trying to keep sand out of your wind blown equipment. Very much enjoy your commentary on each and every photo shoot and your reverence for Mother Earth very much shines through as you capture another fleeting moment in time and then, share it with us all. A very Merry X'mas to you and your family as we look forward to your next adventure, wherever it might take you and us.
For me the videos when you are "in the moment" and you talk about your pure awe of the sights you see are my favourites. You have the ability to take us with you with your passion for your subject and the detailed search for the perfect shot. Your talents go far beyond just knowing when and how to press the shutter. That last image was amazing, almost abstract femininity, it’s one of those images that should be printed as big as possible to almost entirely cove a wall.
Thanks Thomas for all the fabulous and inspiring video's this year. They always make us feel as if we are there too sharing your adventures. Hope you your wife and Monty have a great Christmas and a well deserved rest for you all. Have fun. Cheers Steve
Thoroughly enjoyed all your Namibia vlogs, stich them together and you have a great programme..? Thankyou for all your work this year, merry Christmas to you .
I’ve loved the whole Namibia series and I was in this very spot last November so it brought back wonderful memories. I’m returning in a couple of weeks time and I’m now armed with all the tips you’ve given which have been invaluable. Thank you again for your insight and I look forward to many more videos.
Both of those shots turned very nice, I do love the simplicity of them both and I really liked how the long lens made the small dune look so much larger. I find myself wanting more and more to add a long lens to my bag for landscapes. Thank you so much for the great videos Tom and Merry Christmas. Jason
Fantastic mate. Love them shots. Brilliant. Thanks for taking the time to post on Christmas Eve. I wasn't expecting anything till new year. Much appreciated. Hope you, Charlot and Monty have a great Christmas and a brilliant new year. Best wishes.
Christmas Eve and a Thomas Heaton vlog, brilliant way to set me up for Christmas, stunning pictures as always. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Thomas, Charlotte and Monty
Awesome b&w image of the dunes. Thanks for sharing your videos with us, which are made in a „special“ way. Great stuff. Looking forward to following your channel next year.
So so so helpful. Tomorrow I'm going to camp for 2 days in Jordan's wadi araba and I'm hoping to shoot similar photos of huge red sand dunes and some wide shots of many smaller white sand dunes that just dissappear in the distance. The information about the aperture was very helpful and the way you evaluate the landscape before shooting is incredible
I love your work with the dunes. From now on, I don't want to be a good photographer, I want to be a good imagemaker. Because that's what you've demonstrated here: how to *make* an image out of the environment you find yourself in. Thank you for your inspiration and bravo!
Nice to hear your understanding of the desert. I live in the desert a few hours from Death Valley National Park and know it as an under appreciated wonder.
Great vid as ever Thomas, just keep these coming mate. Happy Christmas to you and yours, oh and to everyone else. Lets hope we all have a great new year.
Wonderful work Mr Heaton. Your an important voice in the skills and concepts of Landscape photography, thank you. best Keith in Ireland.
One of your best black and white images ever, without a doubt. The textures and the curves were just breathtaking. BRAVO!
The black and white image... STUNNING! Excellent job, I am itching to get out and get some photography done, thank you, Derek

Exactly. Thomas genuinely shared what he had to share without caring about the amount of subs or any kind of advertisement. So refreshing.
True words.
Ditto. Best LP channel out there.

Great to see landscape photography with a long lens.
“It’s gonna be lit” -Thomas Heaton
Playing with creation. Holy visions. An artist walks the planet.
The black and white is a masterpiece. Just amazing...
The b/w photo of the dune at the end of the video is my favorite of all your photos. The ripples in the sand, the sharp lines and contrast. Beautiful!
The B&W is the best image to date, IMO! Beautiful Thomas.
Wow the dunepicture is marvellous!! The rinkles, the contrast is amazing.....
That image of the smaller sand dune, so beautiful. You'd almost think something so perfect couldn't exist.
Merry Christmas

I love the way the direction of the sand plays with the green foreground tree near the beginning. Beautiful Thomas! Nice work
Thomas - your work is superb. You come up with great images no matter what environment you are in.
what photography today needs is a story from the artists perspective behind each one of it...
