You can't interact with the same people who pays his bills? Every single streamer out there talks to their audience all the time, no matter the age. Inappropriate can be absolutely anything, it doesn't need to be sexual....which he clearly stated btw, even Twitch admitted to that.
i mean, he goes on about how Twitch didn't go threw a legal process to suspend him and all that, but what he DOESN'T want to say, is that Twitch doesn't need any sort of Legal response for a ban, you're on their website under Their Terms and Conditions. And if they feel you've violated them, then they have ALL the right to ban or suspend you period.
Dude...if you're a guy Docs age and you have to start using age of consent in certain jurisdictions as a defense...I'm not a gamer, I don't know much about Doc. What I do know is this is a godawful explanation and the man has some serious soul searching to do.
@@l__f0 Nothing "DID" him in, he's still wildly popular on UA-cam. Twitch themselves admitted he did nothing wrong. He baited the media so hard, they ALL fell for it.
The case was a suit over Twitch breaking their contract with Doc- it wasn’t brought to a Federal Hearing because it was never filed under that. The most probable reason for the initial accusations never reaching a criminal court probably has to do with lack of evidence (the “sexting” was probably one off messages and no real intent could be acquired under legal statues). As a result, we can comprehend that Doc, by a criminal court, has never been proven innocent or guilty, and that in a civil arbitration, Doc was cleared by an arbitrator “judge” (they aren’t actually judges) for his messages not constituting “sexting.” HOWEVER, you shouldn’t let the arbitrator judge’s conclusion be a representation of truth. There are many times where an individual is found innocent or acquitted in criminal court but found liable for their proposed charges and must pay fees. A famous example of this is OJ- acquitted for the murder but then proven liable in the deaths. How does that work? Well, it’s complicated…
That's what I found odd. "Twitch makes the decision to terminate my contract and ban me while admitting that they never investigated the age of consent in the jurisdiction where the users messages were sent and received ." That tells me that these messages were sent across state lines, possibly out of country where the age of consent would go up to 18. The fact that he's tap dancing around saying her age says a lot.
what you're referring to is for media and/or inappropriate conduct. dating a minor is legal everywhere. but a kiss will have you on the registry, and likewise any conversations a court finds too icky can ruin someone's life
@@notyourdad9548 but there’s so many registered and not registered sex offender weirdos in this world so they love it when one of their kind gets off the hook! Just like they did with Kobe
Soo if they are in school , they can not watch Dr. Disrespect….if they are on vacation they have all the time to watch. Your argument don’t make sense but u are not the only one to say it
So because Twitch was incompetent and didn't do a proper investigation before banning him. Twitch didn't investigate whether the minor in question was in an age of consented state. Since it was a civil case to begin with there were never criminal charges levied out to Doc. So legally he's innocent, however since Doc admitted the messages were inappropriate at times hints to that morally he was doing something. See if he would have just released the Twitch Whispers we could form our opinions but Doc doesn't want to release those messages because he knows that they make him look bad. He's hiding something which goes against his "I'm always real and unfiltered" brand he set up. Unless he releases the messages no one should trust him.
He sued twitch the first time and risked discovery. Twitcj could have forgone arbitration and went to discovery. But they didn't and paid his contract. So....your theory needs some revisions to add up.
@bryancollier704 again they didn't do a proper investigation. It was a civil case that was about contract violations the lawsuit wasn't about the messages but rather why twitch decided to terminate Docs contract. The courts were leaning in Docs favor in regards to Twitch wrongfully terminating Docs contract which is why they settled to avoid it going further and possibly losing more money. Since Doc decided to corroborate the ex twitch staff members claim in his now deleted Twitter post it's odd that he's now saying that this was all just a "You activated my trap card, you thought I was a PDF but I made it all up to expose the media" it makes no sense. Why didn't Doc say this two months ago? If the messages aren't as bad as he claims why not show the messages? This could have been avoided months ago but all this latest response did was prove that he can't be trusted off of his word alone since he's contradicted his own previous statements about this situation.
Having to include the "jurisdiction" where the "not quite minor" lives means they are for certain under 18. It should absolutely destroy your career directed at interacting with children.
Doc is cappin' HARD. Either show the actual chat logs and list the age of who you were talking to or STFU. He already admitted to his actions, there's literally no point in him trying to walk it all back months later after he saw all the demonetizations and canceled brand sponsor ships. He needs to reach harder.
As a corp attorney I will say I believed him when he said he couldnt speak due to an NDA. But now I am certain he did something detestable. Because the fired twitch employee had nothing to lose so a NDA does nothing to him. It would be like saying I will sue a homeless person. But for DDR to speak out while still being allegedly under an NDA involving those twitch related dealings. It means he would stand to lose at minimum any amount he earned with them due to backlash of community outcry potentially. Which would result in quite a large amount of punitive damages. But since he spoke freely it means there was never any NDA directly saying he couldnt explain the details of the issue that resulted in a NDA. It would also be the reason he isnt able to reveal the chatlogs because he did something he knew wasnt right but the NDA is what protects that aspect of the agreement. Sealed message logs and no "employee" can refer to the situation in public formats. Which is a standard separation NDA contract for any private contractor dealings.
Twitch was responsible for keeping employees silent. He can defend himself from criminal allegations and speak on the subject to some extent after twitch violated NDA. Now if doc is lying, twitch can easily speak up and show he is lying. So we will see. Just cause one person breaches NDA, it's not gone.
@@bryancollier704 The keyword being "employees" silent. You will notice with most jobs they come with a similar disclosure agreement which would be similar to the standard NDA settlement contracts. Once he was fired he had no more obligation to abide by the "twitch company's" NDA. But even if we take your point right, he can defend himself against "criminal" allegation right? So this still would mean he can not speak to the public since gossip columns are not law enforcement warrants/indictments. Okay, lets say that doesnt matter and we continue sticking with your opinion. Why verbally spill the entire beans on the NDA but refuses to show chatlogs and offered several apologies while saying he indirectly did something clearly wrong. Which would be much more logical in my expert opinion of 9 years in corp law. NDA settlements arent done because someone is "innocent" of conduct violations to that company lol. He wasnt just signing that for giggles so if it was all harmless and so forth with the millions of dollars he had on hand couldve easily been spent on a clear contract violation lawsuit since he was terminated in the action of all the claims. He said they did no investigation and he had those messages confirming he was perfectly fine in what dialogue he had. But again he refuses to show the chatlog he vanished for months after this all hit social media, now he does a full turn around and still cant show what was said in full context? In my career I have NEVER seen that done or even heard of it being done lol. Twitch NDA's cant compel broke ex employees but they can compel rich contract workers on NDA locked resignations. Meaning the fact he spoke on the matter at all shows he had no true NDA but a normal buy out. It shows it was pretty serious at that time and the business move was to cut ties on both parties involved. So something questionable for sure happened and he knows it. It just took him time to remember that twitch wont put those messages out there because it hurts their money as much as his. But the ex employee had nothing to lose and everything to gain. I think him and that ex employee are morally bankrupt but contract wise i dont see a NDA be present in this that would not allow him to speak on or show what happened.

@RobGradyVO because it was brought up in the court case he won. It was a case about sexting. You think the definition wasn't brought up? This is what bothers me about the haters. The obvious reasons for things are thrown out so they can find the worse possible way to paint it. Professionals had access to all the evidence and chat logs. They went over it numerous times and fund nothing wrong. There were 3 possible charges they could have got him on and they could not even get 1 of them to stick. The issue was reported to child safety, and they decided it wasn't something to follow up on. But, rumor video makers who have access to zero evidence are controlling the narrative. These are people who make fake thumbnails showing people saying fake quotes to get views and likes. They literally start off with a lie to get you to watch their videos. Clickbait. They are who everyone believes? People who took the text that read "what are your plans for twitch-con?" And acted like it said "wanna fuck at twitch-con?" So they would get views. @@TheAlamzy the legal of age on consent depends on where you live. In the U.S. it can be as low as 16. He also said that the person was a minor which means they are under 18. I’ll like to mention that a lot of people maybe are confused about that, but doc is choosing his words very carefully to confused people. But at the end of the day the second a person mentions age of consent that means the person is under 18, that’s the only detail that actually matters here. He got away with it legally due to age of consent laws in which the user lives in. Which is why he brings that detail about.

I'm gonna be the minority here, looking at the comments, but let's say he was actually guilty of these stuff. Let's say, everythign is true that the Twitch guy says. He lost most if not all of his sponsors and partners during this process. He did suffer the consequences of his actions. But everybody acts like that this is the end of the road for him and there is no coming back. Which means that ppl think that if you make a mistake once, then you are done and you should be forgotten and outcasted from sociaty. I think this whole comeback for him probably is his way of saying he does not want to be cancelled because of one mistake. Let me just give you an example. Michael Vick literally killed dogs. multiple of them. I love dogs and I love Vick too. He spent his 2 years in prison, sacrificed 2 of his peak carreer years because he made multiple and horrible mistakes. But he did everything since then to right his wrongs and ppl slowly forgave him, networks are employ him, he is in a good place. I am definitely not saying that Doc didnt do anything bad. Looking at all these stuff he probably did. But for me it doesnt mean he should be in social purgatory for the rest of his life.
He’s made multiple mistakes. 1. Cheats on his wife constantly, we know about a few, there are most likely plenty. Once a cheater, always a cheater. 2. Talked to a minor inappropriately. Now, number two should have you publicly ostracized no matter if they’re 17 or 13. What’s the problem? What is the difference between 17 and 18? Legality, that’s it. Mentally? Nothing. 18 year olds still have, most of the time, a teenage mentality and still act like teenagers. Most young adults will regret or feel uncomfortable with past relationships because of age gaps. Look at Tana and Cody Ko; Tana was down and underage and later on in her life thought it was a terrible situation she put herself in. On the other hand, Cody should have known better but he did it anyways.

Local age of consent doesn’t matter for internet activity. That enters federal jurisdiction, and that age of majority is 18.
yup you're right but people are braindead.
@@davidlauderdale7147Nonetheless, he shouldn’t be talking to minors. Anything else is just noise
That's what I found odd. "Twitch makes the decision to terminate my contract and ban me while admitting that they never investigated the age of consent in the jurisdiction where the users messages were sent and received ." He won’t sue bc then the real age comes out and messages

@@Rome__kingSeeing as Cody never technically referred to Doc does any issue arise? I can’t see it where Cody ever even alluded to the messages being about Doc. It wasn’t until Doc responded that we knew who Cody was talking about.
I don’t follow Cody nor Doc. An average person would not know who or what Cody’s messages were about. An average person would have no way of knowing who the messages were about because no identifying information was given.
@@Michael-pi8ps I think we are on the same page then lol. I am only saying his behavior doesnt match "i cant talk due to NDA" but he continues to talk while showing he has suffered no significant financial loss. He didnt issue a lawsuit again anyone for breach of contract or defamation of character. That saying "a hurt dog will holler" is more true than not I found.
I hope he isnt that type of person but if it were me and I know for certain i never did anything that sketchy regardless of context like you said i wouldnt even know to respond or care to do so. Especially making the amount of money he was at the time.

“Do you know the legal definition of sexting? Because I do” does not sound nearly as good as he thought it did. If you have to get THAT technical, you clearly did something wrong and are using legal loopholes to finagle your way through the system

Ima go ahead and trust the professionals here.
@Faminetheblack why does he need to release the dms and show you to clear his name?
The professionals who do this for a living didn't find anything wrong.
Why does he have to prove it to anyone else? Why don't people trust the professionals who had access to all the evidence and chat logs?
Why trust video creators who start with lies? Fake thumbnails showing people saying fake quotes.... all of them do it. They all LIE to get views.
I'll trust the professionals who have seen the evidence.
Why would we think the person was above the legal age limit when he himself said it was a minor.
The worst thing is that there are people who actually believe him and are actively defending him.
only pedophiles defend pedophiles.
my problem is the fact twitch is going unpunished even when they knew
So you are saying that Twitch caught their streamer beeing a pdf and lost in court to him and payed him money for catching him? And they decided to never even show the messages or never mention what was in those messages? And on top of that judge as well was ok with pdf messages and did not put him in jail? Doesn’t take a genius to work out that he obviously has a lawyer behind him on it. If you know twitch also there many shady things twitch have done, people literally committing crimes snd having sex on it and still don’t get banned so wouldn’t surprise me if what he says about twitch has truth behind it.
The worst thing is people ignoring that a court cleared him of any wrong doing to try and destroy someone who they're jealous of

I think it's weird how he spun this narrative about how he "fooled" everyone with using the word inappropriate and minor in his tweet..like he had some kind of grand plan.
The gaslighting he's doing in his "explanation" around people who asks for the messages.."are u second grade"..it just doesn't suit him.
He was building up his speech as he was putting hard evidence on the table at the end ...witch it didn't..

Legal age of consent doesn't mean not a minor
What?
@@TheAlamzynot 100% certain but i think it’s cause in some states 16 is the age of consent but technically you’re not an adult until you are 18. so while a 16 year old could consent in certain states they aren’t adults yet and morally it’s wrong imo
@@TheAlamzy the legal of age on consent depends on where you live. In the U.S. it can be as low as 16. He also said that the person was a minor which means they are under 18. Taking both of his comments into consideration, this means the person he was talking to was either 16 or 17.

If my private messages were released i wouldn't have a problem im not talking to kids 😂
@@HomeboyMcGoo I dont understand your point. I started with let's say he is in fact guilty. I never argued that he shouldnt be punished for it. My argument was about a whole other thing

If you talk to minors you will do it again. If you cheat on your significant other, you will do it again. He is a repeat offender. He will not stop. Give Doc an inch he *will* take a mile.
The severity of your offense determines the forgiveness. If a guy kills someone in cold blood, they should not be in society. If your prey on minors, you should not be in the general public. If you get in your car drunk and kill someone, you don’t deserve to be able to drive ever again. There needs to be consequences for bad behavior.
