Respect for reading Oleg Sentsov! I'm Ukrainian but I've been living in Ireland since March 2022. And I've subscribed to your channel after your video about Irish books TBR and now I watch all your videos and it really helps me to follow English speaking book world ❤ Thanks and have a great time in Ireland ❤️❤️❤️

I used to own all the Sue Grafton paperbacks. I donated them to a nursing home before one of my moves. I realized I was never going to read them again. The nursing home was glad to have the books. The residents love them.

For those reading the comments, Elena Knows is a great choice when looking for disability representation as well. It’s short and you can read it in an afternoon and the way she describes how the main character copes with her chronic illness and moving through the world is quite unlike anything I have read before. Highly recommend.

Hi Greg here’s my suggestion. Leave this note inside the cover of “ In The Distance “. Reminder: The reason “Trust “ was a co-winner of the Pulitzer, it was a make up call for In The Distance not winning in 2018. That way you will maybe read it sometime

I would really highly recommend Sharks in the Time of Saviors. It's not super common to find Hawaiian stories in contemporary literature and it was a beautifully told one. I also remember a queer element, but I'm not sure. Still highly recommend it! Thanks for a great video!

I read Trust for a book club. I went into it blindly. The first “book” was absolutely terrible. I only kept going because of the book club. The writing in the second part improved which delighted me enough to keep going. In the third part I started to figure out what he was doing. I ended up liking it but not loving it.

Wrote down The Rain Heron. From the comments I see it is a good one! I always tell myself I should be writing down when I bring books into my collection but I never manage to do so. I also wish I had written down who recommended them. Appreciate the video!

So impressed that you remember who recommends books. And that you did math!
I would be interested to hear what you think of The Bear. It was part of a program called "NH Reads" (possibly) through which free copies of the book were distributed via public libraries and discussions were organized around it statewide. The book was good but it sparked one of the most memorable discussions I have ever participated in.
I just took a peek at your Instagram. It looks like you and Joel are enjoying your trip and having great weather. I'm reading a book set in Ireland (Sebastian Barry's Old God's Time) and the weather is constantly shite! 😉

Hi Greg, I came across this video in a search for an old interview of my dad. I see you have his book (Hue & Cry) and would like to read it! You also mention wanting to read Elbow Room. I would love to send you a copy of Elbow Room, if you would like. Many have said that Hue & Cry should have won the Pulitzer--meaning it is their preferred of the two collections. I am curious to hear (sometime down the line) which collection resonates with you more! Best, Rachel McP.

Wow, thank you so much for commenting! I am so looking forward to reading both Elbow Room and Hue and Cry. If you would like to email me, I would love to hear more--especially since I'm hoping to explore these books sooner rather than later: supposedlyfungreg@gmail.com
